The oil on gasket also helps in removal of filter,also after spraying on engine protector you can put a water absorb (DampRid 64oz) in engine compartment for storage,Great video Thanks

I have the 7.4L Mercruiser MPI, it does not have a fuel cut off with near the filter. Always worried that fuel will just keep flowing. Also heard yes if the filter is not full of fuel or fill up with the ignition switch, the motor will not start

Not gonna prefill the filter?
There are few things as carcinogenic as gasoline. NEVER handle raw gasoline. ALWAYS wear gloves. This guy has his hands soaked in fuel with no protective gloves. He would get fired Day #1 at ANY marina.
