- The Pharisees attack Jesus because His followers were not following the religious traditions of ceremonial hand-washing, so Jesus attacks them for breaking God's laws with their traditions.
He declares that a man is unclean by what comes out of him -- not what goes into him. Peter doesn't get it, so Jesus has to explain it more graphically.
They then travel to the coast (Tyre and Sidon) where they meet a Canaanite woman who is asking for healing for her daughter. At first Jesus seems to ignore her, then talks about her in front of his men.
She is persistent -- calling him Lord and worshiping Him -- and eventually Jesus turns to her and praises her for her faith. Her daughter is immediately healed.
After this, they return to the Galilee region -- and head over to the eastern side in the Decapolis region. There Jesus does another miracle, feeding 4000 men and their families--but this time they are mostly Gentile.
