what do you think of the CWF kit? i saw on their website its 16.5" travel for $4k base price opposed to the dirtking and mazzulla race kits that offer 17.5" and 18" travel for $6.5k base prices and require cutting i believe. do you think the 1.5" travel is worth $2.5k extra?
So I have a 2011 z71, it’s a 5.3 with a 6L80 trans, not sure what rear end but I know it has the G80 locker, would it be a decent platform? Looking to do a long travel pre runner build on it one day
Number of reasons: 1) less moving parts 2) more suspension travel is typically possible for less money 3) less weight over the front 4) (probebally most important), if you are driving these correctly, you should be going fast enough to not be getting stuck. \ 4wd is nice depending on where your at and what kind of terrain you have around you. But for us in the desert, we dont have a whole lot of mud and these arent rock crawlers. Makes 4wd a luxury item that isnt always needed
This thing is so clean!
You guys need to make more content. There isn't really a big prerunner scene on TH-cam.

Do we know the wheel model? Might be discontinued but i really like those
I believe its the Fuel Anza. Not 100% but pretty sure those are them
@ thank you!
Was this truck a 2wd or a 4wd? Trying to decide what to get for a build
You can build this same truck in either and even look the exact same. So get what you want.

Typically 2wd are preferred for long travel
Yea your front axles might limit your travel
I want to hear it and see it in action to believe it

Why do most people choose to do these things to a 2wd?
Number of reasons:
1) less moving parts
2) more suspension travel is typically possible for less money
3) less weight over the front
4) (probebally most important), if you are driving these correctly, you should be going fast enough to not be getting stuck. \
