It's impossible buying land or build house in Thailand if you're outsider and it has to be approved by the government unless you're married to the local, but I'm surprised Laos government would sell land to foreigners.

I live in Seattle now and never been to Laos. Soon I'll have to go there and claim that property. And I was wondering if you could direct me to someone resources to help someone who's never been there of what to expect in terms of getting around, cost of living. Etc?
