    Koreans believe in various religions. Christianity, Buddhism, Confucianism, Islam, shamanism... However, people do not kill each other or go to war because of religion. At Christmas, people of all different religions rejoice with each other. On Buddha's Birthday, even people of other religions find peace in their hearts. In daily life, they lead a Confucian life and also fortune tell in shamanism. They don't even care what religion others believe in. That's why Koreans don't understand people from other countries who go to war because of religion. Therefore, if someone were to force Koreans to believe that only their religion is correct, it would cause strong resentment.

      SImple answer is,people put religion first and everything else second....and when you do that and when also your religion tells you to be an idiot,you get the results

      That is a core tenant of Dharma. A fake religion called Hinduism/Indianism was created by invader of the sub-continent.
      Dharma teaches one, there are paths to one truth. Therefore the path that others follows to the same purpose must also be respected. People forget our core tenets due to outside interference.

    The issue that divides Buddhists is in regard to how monks should conduct themselves. The Vinaya stipulates certain behavior for monks, with singing, playing music, and dancing a major no-no. There’s a growing trend of monastics behaving this way, presumably to reach out to more worldly people. If their intention is pure, I can see it being a form of skillful means, but it’s difficult to tell if they aren’t just imbibing in their own pleasures.
    EDIT: That no-no isn't so major in the Theravada Vinaya, with the punishment entailing only confession. I suspect this is also true for the Dharmaguptaka, which is the common lineage in Korea.

    I honestly think this is unique and interesting. I don't know whether that guy is actually religious or not. But if he was, there's nothing wrong with faith and religion finding different ways of expression beyond what is traditionally taught.

    The robe signifies a sacred status in Buddhism. If you wear a robe it signifies that you have given up all the worldly pleasures and you're ready to walk the path towards enlightenment. Why people are putting their own thoughts into buddha teachings.

    Buddha told people to overcome pain and agony, gain enlightenment, and live happily. He never told people to practice and die after living a boring life. Don't lose sight of the essence of what Buddha said by being caught up in superficiality and convention. Buddhism is a religion that changes with the times.

    If you dont't know the name of the celebration, don't use your own thought. It's not Buddha's birthday my fellow reporter friend.
    May 23th, 2024 is The Vesakh Day, which is holy day and celebrated by all Buddhist in the world. This year also known as year 2568 in Buddhist Time.
    Vesakh day is commemorate 3 important events :
    1. Prince Siddharta Gautama Born.
    2. Prince Siddharta Gautama attained Full Enlightment and become "Buddha"
    3. Buddha passed away / Pari Nibbana
    And this 3 important events, all happened on the same day and month.
    "BUDDHA" means somebody that attained full enlightment.

    This is getting fame using Buddhism, as the words he shout out is totally not the way Buddhism will preach. He is shouting words like "why ny friend did better than me, Pain" "Why I can't loose weight, Pain" These words brings jealousy and focus on external beauty, which will mislead young people, this is ridiculous!!! He can do whatever he wants BUT NOT USING THE NAME OF BUDDHISM!!! Shame on him to try get fame and wealth out of this!!! 😡

      Jambudeepa (land of jambu trees)
      2nd thing is that you only know about shakyamuni buddha...
      There are so many buddha ok
      Yes shakyamuni buddha was born in modern day nepal
      Kusi Nagra& bodhigya both are in modern day India
      So brother nepal & india (jambudipasi) are center of Buddhism

      @mei9179 pure indians ?
      what do you mean by this
      are you talking about race?
      I didn't think you had such low Ideology brother..
      I am from India, there are so many types of cultures here
      Many races have assimilated here because the people here adopt every race as their own.
      There is a definition of country(nation), it does not apply to India.
      Because in India there is not one race, one culture and one language.

    • @zojozojo-ox6wj
      @zojozojo-ox6wj 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @mei9179 Tibetan people adopted Buddhism from India and people of Greek India(indo greeks) adopted Buddhism in the West Indian kingdoms(afganistan Pakistan).
      Thai Myanmar Asian people adopted Buddhism
      Now if marriages took place among these people, you cannot even imagine what kind of races would be created.
      It is impossible in today's era to bind nature into races. Racialism was no longer the culture of India.
      It was only later that the Brahmin thinking implemented it here. Even today, Buddhist people are trying to break it(Brahman's race+caste system)in India.
