Qieri whenever I try to connect I go to easy and then choose the WiFi. When it tried to connect it wants me to put everything in like I clicked custom. And I put in everything as automatic cause when I try to see my IP address it just says automatic. It’s like I have to get lucky with it not going to custom even when I choose easy.
I’m only using WiFi (iPhone hotspot). It worked once. ONCE. Now it can’t obtain an IP address, and while it’s connected to my phone, won’t do anything else. Any ideas?
My IP address is saying failed everytime even if I manually type in the SSID address and password correctly. For some reason, my Wi-Fi connection doesn't automatically come up as an option to use. I get a bunch of other ones I can't even use.
for people who have not been able to connect anyway, I recommend disconnecting the modem, then deactivating and reactivating the connection in the ps4, and then do the procedure shown in the video

@@ertugruluysal4391 Oddly enough it was just an issue to my internet box, it didn't like staying connected too long. I got a much newer wifi box recently which is a tad faster and it hasn't dropped connection with it at all yet. It's the only device to have done this, though, so maybe the ps4 wifi chips are just crap.

@@nickcapozzi2897 I dunno man, a lot of people on reddit are having problems, too. Some say they have called and told they were temporarily suspended for a day and stuff. You'll have to call if you have tried using a diff cable and wifi if you have it.
I still feel like people need to explain this when they're disconnected how are you supposed to fix it when you're disconnected some of these people are doing it when they're connected :/

merc 241 yeah I actually I did find a fix 😂 on the back my router there is a little switch. I can switch it between AP (access point), CL (no idea what that is), or neither. It was switched on to neither while the rest of the routers in the house are all switched to CL. I flipped it back to CL and I’ve got no problem now
I tried this, setting my console to default settings, changed my lan cable, ect. The thing that finally fixed it for me was turning ny modem off for 5 mins then when i turned it back on it worked. Hope this helps.

When you are on the choose your WiFi screen hit options and select either 5gh or 2.4 gh. If you are close to your router than choose 5gh and if you are far away from it (in another room or through a wall) then chose 2.4gh. I looked everywhere and nothing worked trust me and will definitely work for you Fyi: this only works with the new gen consoles like the PlayStation slim and PlayStation pro
