no offense: some tips to start off by drifting rwd: First,remember to always try to throttle in a wavy pattern ( let go on drift action,do a immediate throttle at entry,and exit. also remember to smoothly counter steer when you have to. I recommend if you really get into it remove the gyro so you can actually learn to properly counter steer. Other than that, good video,great content and nice begginner car! you should stay with it for now and do some steering upgrades like aluminum parts,and c hub delete if you feel like you have to. Maby some nicer tires. also reccomend a seperate set of indoor tires,and a seperate set for outdoor use because the asphalt really fu**s up your tires for indoor use over time. later on just get more aluminum parts until you feel like you got enough that it won't break easily. BUT FIRST ALUMINUM UPGRADE ALL THE WHEEL AND STEERING RELATED PARTS!! ok that is it hope you read this and take my advise even if you don't have to.

I strongly recommend not to remove the gyro, those cars are undrivable without it. If something, then decrease the gain, but it is not necessary, just don't wobble the steering and do the small corrections via throttle and you will be fine
Don't remove the gyro, this is not an AWD or CS car this is an RWD. You need to learn to use the throttle instead of the steering wheel. Start with small donuts. For this keep pumping the throttle and only steer invards (left or right, one direction at a time). The gyro will do what needs to be done. This way you can learn to play with the throttle. Later you can learn to make bigger donuts with still steering in to the same direction but letting it closer to neutral. You will realize that you were abusing the steeringwheel before (in this vid) :)
I love watching people drift. Would love to see more of these, and watch as you get better over time. For a first ever drifting session, I'd say you did pretty freaking good, particularly with RWD! Great job man 🙂

I remember how much I struggled getting those mirrors on. The little o-rings made it so tight which was good for holding them in place without rattling but really tough to get the clip in place!

u should try to adjust the gyro until u think its smooth/suitable for u. Themore u turn it to limit(left), the more control u get over the car. The more on gain(right), the more it assist the countersteer. i usually keep it in middle or a little bit to limit(left) which keeps the car from spinning out. The next thing is that u need to tighten the diff when time passes, it will slip after u have it for 6months to 1 year, i would recommend to tighten it every 3 months , it could be tighten by turning a hex cap head screw in the outdrive thingy. The menu should give u more information about it. I have the mst rmx for almost 2yrs now i think. lmk if u need help with ur car XD

I honestly can't tell you if this is the best one. Its the only drift car I've owned so I have nothing to compare it to. It has been very beginner friendly so far and has helped me get into drifting without getting frustrated 😂

Waiting for the AMG GT version of this to come in the mail this week. Here's a tip to help you counter-steer better, do slight turn adjustments during the drift with slower steering wheel turns instead of full lock turns, then feather out with the throttle. The built in gyro should assist.
after furthur observation, I feel like you don't need a c-hub delete as the tires are almost 90 degrees which is what you will really need in the hobby
So, i aint got any drift car expierience but often i do make some donuts with my tamiya hornet on dust, and it looks( for me) that your steering is extreme like it makes 90 degree angles and i feel like you need to trim that to make it more smooth. Let me now if im right....
I've had zero experience with drifting before this car but from what I'm seeing, having a lot of steering throw like that is useful. I'm understanding that my main problem is I'm using too much steering and not enough throttle control to drift. Still need to practice a lot!
@@braydon.wilder no sir, unless u buy a kit that says "rtr" or "ready to run" on the box. Normally a kit is the chassis, meaning differential, frame, suspension, wheels. If its not rtr u need to buy all electronics and customize a body :) Hope that helps!

nice car man, driving needs some improvement, I don´t know if the gyro has something to do but seems you are overcorrecting too much. Something I learnt about this is that your throttle input also help you a lot in drifting situations when you need to correct angle or save a drift.

@@FullThrottleRC but then wouldn’t the tail lights be chrome in the back. Not the look I wanted. I guess people just insert the led into the chrome buckets in the rear and leave it like that. The led it bright enough to illuminate through the body. Was just wondering. I might cut holes for the bulbs. Only reason I asked if you look at the sticker sheet it comes with 2nd set of tail light stickers. Thinner ones. 🤔
From some of the suggestions and tips I've gotten its probably too fast to be honest. I'm guessing its an MST branded servo though, I'm sure you could check their website for replacement parts or the part numbers on the model and find one if you're interested.

I'm sure you could put rubber tires on it and it'll have more traction, but it's not really built to go fast. I don't think you would be happy with it if you are trying to race

Are you talking about during a drift? Because I think you may be seeing the gyro turning the wheels. I've learned pretty quick that once I initiate the drift, I control it mostly with throttle and let the gyro work.
I don't think MST offers either of those as a RTR. I'm sure you could pick up a body that would fit right on the chassis though. I never planned to run this body forever. I'm looking for other bodies while I learn and scratch this one up!😂
I was able to get some pretty decent drifts on carpet inside but unfortunately I just didn't have the right spot to run this car. Realized a lot of fun in RC is having the right place to run the vehicles too
Mic problems. I've been fighting it for a while now and can't seem to figure out what causes it. The audio sounds fine when editing but then once it's uploaded I'll have short sections like that, that are messed up.

The controller has a trim for steering so that it has a slower reaction to your turns. It will help alot

that should be on page 13. The M2.5x30 screw. tighten it then ur diff wont slip after few months of playing

Yes it is the RTR version! No battery included, I paid about $350.

Try tuning ur controller so the front wheels dont turn as fast. I find it helps alot with the countersteer! Good video tho i think im gonna buy one

Thanks! The gyro does make the steering look a little twitchy. This car is completely stock so yep the diff is locked

Do you peel the stickers that came on the rear tailights cause I want to install tail lights.?
I didn't peel the stickers on my body but I remember it coming with buckets as well so I'd think its clear under those stickers.

hmm... i wonder if i should remove the driveshaft of my awd driftcar so it becomes rwd, do you know if it will wear out the parts faster or?
Not sure but I'd imagine all of the power going towards the rear could cause some problems
It would shoot all the power towards the front wheels and be super low on power in the rear due to the front spinning easier

The tires are plastic which lets it slide around and have less traction than a rubber tire.
FullThrottleRC do you know the exact brand of tire... I’m running plastic now and it won’t slide on asphalt as smooth as this.
