Kayak Fishing a Frozen Lake; Strawberry Reservoir

- Strawberry is still pretty much frozen still but for this small portion of water at the Ladders. I am guessing by next weekend we will see a lot more open water on the shore lines.
I look forward to this time of year to hit the lake with the Kayak!
I was lucky to have my son come with and make some great Father and son memories!

Paddles are important! That water was probably cold. Like Jack being frozen in Titanic cold. Nice open water fish, fellas.

crazy thing is. I have hear the Lake is totally Ice free. Its crazy what a week will do. I am heading up tomorrow for some more Ice off action!
Look at you guys being Polar Explorers and icebreaking. They are saying we need more icebreakers in the Arctic................LOL.

I was up there today there is a whole lot more open water now. Kind of slow but I managed to land 5, lost a few others, most on a leech. I did not see your duck frends. (Hooded Mergansers)

That was cool seeing you get ready for fishing with the kayak boat. Didn't catch much fish but it was fun watching your enthusiasm and the beautiful fish you caught.That's cool how you broke thru the ice.
