- Tyler Perry's 1st flight of his Giant XXXL Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747 at Airliner Meeting 2024
Wingspan: 4.95 metres, Length: 5.43 metres. Weight: 68 KG. Scale: 1/13. This model was originally built by Adi Pitz, the organiser of Airliner Meeting, and powered by micro turbines but @RamyRC converted it to electric ducted fan for Tyler as you see in this video.
Filmed at Oppingen-Au Airfield in Germany at the Airliner Meeting Show with the Panasonic HC-X2 Pro 4K action camera for the Essential RC TH-cam channel. Thanks to Adi Pitz for the invite to film at this amazing event.

My dad and I would always build model planes and scale railroads--yet at every expo we would be one out of maybe 3 Black families in a packed expo hall.
He'd always tell and show me to never mind it and do what you love regardless.
I wouldn't be surprised if Terry Crews would be into RC aircraft seeing as he's already building his own gaming PCs.

I can understand that. We need to see diversity in every hobby but it's not something that can be forced. Just have to ensure the opportunities are equal to participate.

Yeah. Agree. Flying was mostly circuits into wind down the strip. Some 8s and reverse circuits would have been good but I guess when you aren't used to a flying site maybe best to keep it safe with large models like this.
This is in Germany when they were doing the certification.
Eh, yes. The certification was done as a pre-requisite of being able to fly at this event in Oppingen.

Custom built so hard to say. More about the skilled labour cost although the materials and components will be in the $10Ks
Maybe we could get John Travolta into flying RC planes as he is an actual 747 pilot and did own his own 747 jet
