Invoker in Dota 1 had 27 spells where the order of Quas/Wex/Exort instances mattered, and picking him often crashed the game. Literally a game breaking hero.
Guys saying he's easy, GET REAL!! You probably just use the combo that everyone does, tornado, meteor and scream. That's not the whole of Invoker, try getting perfect sunstrikes, great initiations, perfect carry ability, attackspeed to allies, mana burn, create forge spirit for your coldsnap and push deny runes and aegis, and a lot more stuffs while not dying
Changes to Invoker have been made since this video was released. This list will contain those changes (not including number changes, since they are very frequent) Quas, Wex and Exort: No longer give passive Strength, Agility or Intelligence. Invoke: Can no longer be leveled. It always has a 6 second cooldown (2 seconds with aghs) and costs no mana. Aghanim's Scepter: As well as decreasing the cooldown, it will also increase the level of all of invoker's orbs by 1, essentially making the max level of them 8. He is pretty fragile in the early game plus his movement speed and attack damage on level 1 is very low making him very hard to use. He can use his full power's potential if he has a very high level.

back before voker was re-introduced, voker apparently had 27 different spells and the spell was based on the order of quas wex and exort. the downside was that he had no attack command. 10 of those spells were recycled into modern invoker.

I love LoL but seriously after having played invoker my blow invoker is simply in a complete different leauge then ANY ap champ from LoL. So complex and hard to master. I love this guy so much. One of the things i love the most is at a ceartin point in the late game is that invoker always have somthing to do, I don't need to stand around and wait for like 140 secs for my ulti to go of cd before I can go into battle again.Constant action with this guy very fun play. I give him 11,5 out of 10
If you are talking about EMP, usually the radius of it is hard to discern especially if you've never played Invoker because it is so immense. That is probably why they didn't avoid it. Also, the casting animation for pretty much all of Invoker's skills look the same, so you'll never know what he's casting until it's usually too late!

Anti-Mage still has those twin blades that Illidan has. Drow Ranger still looks a hell of a lot like Sylvanas. You get the point. It's the reason Windrunner had to be renamed to Windranger. Since Blizzard could have have sued them due to similarities with the 'Windrunner' sisters in WoW.

I needed only 800 games to play a sick invoker. (Refresher combos, perfect timings and stuff) Hell of fun in my potato 4k bracket. Highly recommend dir new players.
RTS stands for Real Time Strategy, good example of it are Warcraft 3, AoE series, Starcraft, Red Alerts, Tiberian Sun, Generals (or any other C&C), Settlers and all that. DotA, HoN, and LoL are grouped as MOBA, a sub-genre to RTS where it focus more on the action aspect of the RTS rather than base building and micromanaging resource gathering. Usually you control one "hero" unit though depending on certain hero you get to control some unit as well like Lychan or Enigma from DotA.
He usually is played as a Teamfight Controller. His spells have HUGE AOE, and damage, as well as just general control. Tornado takes enemies out of the fight, Deafening Blast just disrupts the fight in general, emp either drains everyone's mana or causes them to flee, Chaos Meteor rolls through for tons of damage, and Cold Snap is a HUGE pain to deal with. That being said, he does have reasonable right clicks, but shouldn't be exclusively built around them (similar to Queen of Pain)
Invoker ain't that hard after you get used to him, and memorized all his spells and combos, and fast fingers too. For new Invokers, this is the list of combos I used on battle: -ColdSnap, ForgeSpirit, Icewall,Sunstrike -Tornado, EMP (depletes enemies' mana) -Tornado,ChaosMeteor, DeafeningBlast -ForgeSpirit,Alacrity -GhostWalk + Radiance [GG]
just for fun his 1st abilities are:cold snap Emp and sunstrike his 2nd abilities are:ghost walk tornado and forge spirits his 3rd abilities are:Ice wall alacrity and chaos meteor and his ult would be deafening blast

Just looked it up, the cooldown is 30 so that's not possible. By the way, one important point that is not mentioned in the video, the damage of sunstrike is spread evenly between targets in the area of effect so you won't be able to blast away creep waves or bombard teamfights with this thing.
All of that makes sense in context, though. But the game's Night and Day mechanics are so fleshed out, you'd think they'd notice that. Maybe he reflects the sun strike off the moon.
Ive seen only few that are really good at invoker, and yeah they used all the skills and movies a like a fucking ninja, blinking and focestaffing everytime.
Sunstrike does have a cooldown and mana cost like any other invoked spell. That last part in the video (when he kills a guy with sunstrikes) was just trolling. And if you knew that and actually were trolling yourself by posting your comment then good job - you succeeded.
If support you go for quas wex build with 1 early point in exort. Your main spells should be, coldsnap,deaf blast, ice wall, emp, tornado, and alacrity. You get mana boots and force staff as core.
3 of the same 2 with one other 2 with one other for each QWE and then one of each QWE thats how i think about it, makes it a less intimidating to get into
True. Takes a lot of practice to get to that point though. He can be countered with a single disable though since he's not very tanky, gank early and often.

Just looked it up, the cooldown is 30 so that's not possible. By the way, one important point that is not mentioned in the video, the damage of sunstrike is spread evenly between targets in the area of effect so you won't be able to blast away creep waves or bombard teamfights with this thing.

I need to mention that as an invoker player, you can still deal a ton of damage using Alacrity and Forge spirits to a bkb unit

Considering the fact that the slows from his geostrike stack, he is definitely not a bad hero.
The best way to use meatball is with defeaing blast, plus the meteor burn is stackable so use deaf to kill an enemy quickly
Invoker has changed so much
All of that makes sense in context, though. But the game's Night and Day mechanics are so fleshed out, you'd think they'd notice that. Maybe he reflects the sun strike off the moon.
Ive seen only few that are really good at invoker, and yeah they used all the skills and movies a like a fucking ninja, blinking and focestaffing everytime.
Sunstrike does have a cooldown and mana cost like any other invoked spell. That last part in the video (when he kills a guy with sunstrikes) was just trolling.

I noted all his skills on a piece of paper and I realized that the main skills I`d use would be Sun Strike, Deafening Blast and Ghost Walk.
I love Invoker, he is my ONLY played hero and i've never played any other hero. I'm not lying.
If support you go for quas wex build with 1 early point in exort. Your main spells should be, coldsnap,deaf blast, ice wall, emp, tornado, and alacrity. You get mana boots and force staff as core.

True. Takes a lot of practice to get to that point though. He can be countered with a single disable though since he's not very tanky, gank early and often.
Invoker is the definition of why Dota is more original than Lol. With ability draft too, which could be amazing in Lol
