This is one of my favorite videos. The dam was pretty high you started working on it quietly the sound of the water flowing was soothing and the job you did was amazing. Thank you.

If you've ever watched the removal of a man made dam you will have noticed that the initial breach usually results in a progressively larger opening. The water flow sweeps the dam away. A beaver dam doesn't do that. You must continue to dig away at the woven structure of the dam to enlarge the opening. Much more durable construction techniques. Humans could learn a lot from analyzing the beaver's construction methods.

Thank you for the work that you do in dismantling these dams, it is great to see the water flowing through, it is a lovely sound also. I know the people of the community appreciate this, it means also that the farmer can grow more food rather than have the fields spoiled by the beaver dams.

A lot of work to do something completely against your best interests. If you need to control the level in the pond, install a beaver deceiver. Simple and effective. Beaver ponds hold water on the land to recharge ground water, reduce flood peaks, provide water during drought periods, return the other animals to the area that have been killed by us and so so much more.

Prior to dismantling the beaver dam, do you undertake a survey on the water course down stream? Contrary to popular belief, releasing a vast amount of water in such a short unnatural duration can cause more damage than good - not only to the wildlife but to the environment and other elements aswell.
