This is how my 1st Lockdown went so first of all i had my laptop I was using it for online school and doing online school its so hard to do online school it just makes you procrastinate. So loads of teachers are pestering me to finish the work asap even though it isn't a school environment. Teachers were literally threatening to call parents. Absolute 0 fucking sympathy given to me and others my mental health was going to shit just something hit it hard because your locked up for 6 hours in your room doing school and you can't really do anything. Ive kept my mental health a secret from my family as my sister has a mental health problem so I decided to keep it a secret. Right here comes the next bit to stir it up my laptop hardrive fucking corrupts oh... man.... whats the last thing you need to break at this momment and time. I messaged all my teachers saying my HDD corrupted and ive lost my work they all luckily showed sympathy but this meant i was without a laptop for 3-4 months because laptop supplies were low and ive already tooken this to a repair shop before and currys pc world i think on purpose put a bad hdd in so I just left it on top of my cupboard for 3 months. Afterwards my dads car broke down and it was so bad because we didn't have a choice but to look at cars. Obviously were in a period where everyone's low on money luckily my dad works in the food industry they were doing the same amount as they were before no changes to the job itself except masks. The mechanic said it was a serious electrical fault and the emobilisor for the car was £600 and 2/3 of the cars value. My dad was out with a car for 3 weeks and his workplace was threatening to fire him how sad during a pandemic. So we rushed and found a car bought it for an alright price and the mileage is abit high but hondas are very dependable I finally found the stress relieve was over. By this point I gave up on online school. Funny thing is after we bought the honda the boss really wanted to buy it for his wife so he ended up going on a hunt for one. So everything there was good. July August time my uncle wanted to startup a business and he has absolutely no manners and not grateful for everything we do for him. In September I started a new job which was work for my uncle and so did my dad it took a 2 months to setup the business I was kinda really sad as I couldn't play my games on my laptop and this is about mid may time or Early June so I decided to buy a new hardrive and replace it myself. It all went good luckily. I gifted it to my sister in Novemeber to my sister later that year because her laptop battery had exploded on her 8 year old laptop I gave her my HP. I bought an ASUS laptop in December. So theres my busy lockdown 1 and summer holiday. So here comes December where were allowed to travel from the 23rd As a small family trip half our family went on holiday Me,My sister and my mum went up north we know the situation was worse up there I can confirm that because I was stared at for wearing a mask 😷 in a cornershop. No one was wearing a mask there ridiculous I just needed a topup. Gyms and stuff were open. I went on joyrides mainly and obviously the big stores such as ASDA and all that were following guidelines. My cousin brother drives really fast so it was fun. I played on his ps4 and all that. He managed order the ps5. and then this is where the bad news hit the southeast was going into tier 4 but it wasnt including my city but then on the 24th we were told tier 4 so we decided its was best to leave on the 25th as I dont celebrate Christmas. It was better becuase we stayed In the car for the whole journey and went to one service stop which was dead empty. Arriving home was annoying as we were gonna leave on the last day but it is what it is. Here comes the lockdown with new variant. I wasnt worried about it becuase luckily im not high risk. I was gutted that schools were closing as gcses were still going on when its not fair for us considering 6 months of school missed. Luckily gcses were cancelled but replaced with assessments which basically that statement was as useful as saying exams are replaced with exams. Doing online school was alot better because i could actually do it. Unfortunately I did procrastinate still and fell behind but I think it was the case for everyone. This time I was still going out during lockdown and that was work. So my health on the 3rd lockdown was better but still going to shit. But then when he said schools were opening on the 8th I was happy because I could catch up and then I had motivation to revise. That sums up my 2020 and first few months of 2021.
I think first lockdown no one had a clue what they were doing and so everyone was struggling but the 3rd one we kinda knew what was happening but it was still so ridiculously stressful and the anxiety it’s caused. Hopefully this time next year we’ll all be able to live normal life again!
