To clear up some confusion, I said League of Legends and Overwatch were both Blizzard, but that's not the case; I was thinking of Heroes of the Storm rather than LoL. Carry on!
@@Ris_Grestar I don't even know what an RTS is. So if you hadn't mentioned it here, I would've gone on to believe you on that lol Also yes, Harley Quinn in the Batman Animated Series.
I used to really enjoy League when it first released. I no-lifed it for about two years. Not a fan anymore, but I very much enjoy the lore and other games that have spun off from League. That LoL RPG revolving around Viego was very very good. Legends of Runeterra is a really well made strategy card game. And Arcane was one of the best animated series I have ever seen, second only to The Last Airbender, and maybe tied with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
Harely Quinn was one of the original additions to Batman's Rogues Gallery for the Animated Series. She was little more than a tragic addition to the joker originally, but eventually became her own character throughout the years. She is currently around the point of an Anti Hero of sorts at the moment through her long character journey.
Harley Quinn debuted in The Animated Series. She was supposed to be recurring, being conceived as being Joker's sidekick like Robin is to Batman as to further their dynamics, but she definitely blew up way more than expected, leading to her being introduced in the comics.
When Harley asked Jinx at the end if she wanted to get in closer and deliver the final kill that way, pretty sure that a reference to what Joker said to Sweet Tooth in Joker vs Sweet Tooth
Also, Jinx whilst often mistakenly believed to be based on Harley, in reality Modern Harley was more based on Jinx and Deadpool whilst Jinx was based on Gollum, Tank Girl, Dark Knight Joker and Helena Bonham Carter in both "Fight Club" and "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix."
I haven't seen the movie but from what I understand the feathers were referencing a scene in Birds of Prey. Also the ending was a reference to Joker vs. Sweet Tooth's if you didn't catch it.
I believe the feathers that appear when Harley is being shot is a reference to the 2021 Suicide Squad film. There's an escape scene involving Harley killing a multitude of guards, the blood being overlaid with flowers and feathers. Course, I could be wrong.
- "G-Get back...I'm CRAZY! I've got...a doctor's note for it!!" - At the end, Harley was trying to pull the same trick that Joker did on Sweet Tooth. But of course, A) Jinx was more cautious than ol' Needles, and B) she likes shooting more than whacking. - Oh, and League of Legends is made by Riot Games, not Blizzard. World of Warcraft is Blizzard's big MMO. This episode's song "Mad Laugh Riot" even references the company in the title. - Hardcore Bubbles, huh? Never would've thought.
In terms of the next time, my reason for wanting you to do Scarlet Witch vs Zatanna was more from wanting to see how you’d react to the insane stuff both can do and bringing more attention to one of the more underrated episodes this season.
I did see it coming but was sad that Harley lost. However, this really was a fun and well done battle. I love the model and voice they used for Harley too!
Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey used feathers and flowers to depict violence for movie Harley Quinn, so it was a reference to that. I'm sure someone's already mentioned it, but Harley's attempt to lure Jinx closer with the emotions line was a reference to how the same tactic worked when Joker beat Sweet Tooth in an earlier Death Battle. The Batman explosion is not an outlier, he has several feats on that level, that's just the simplest one. And when most of his rogue gallery is obviously in the same ballpark as him, and Harley routinely keeps up with not only them but also Bats himself, it makes sense to scale Harley to the explosion. The Marvel and DC on Death Battle hate has been little more than a punchline for quite a while, but it got even more silly this season, as episodes like Scarlet Witch vs Zatanna and this one all have clear effort and a unique approach put into them, next episode is genuinely great
Regarding the Looney Tunes thing, that is actually very representitive of Harley, because Harley started in Batman the Animated Series before being introduced to the comics, the comics actually treat her like a cartoon character in a comics world and she does wacky cartoon stuff all the time like breaking the 4th wall and doing cartoon gags
In her own series it also explored that she's kind of incapable of seeing things as they really are. When seen through her perspective, the world is a cartoon. She was unable to see that one of her henchman, someone she valued and trusted, had been shot, and thought he was just being dramatic.
17:47, quick correction. League of Legends isn’t run by Blizzard. They’re run by Riot. Also, damn Ris. I feel like you’ve been on a roll with getting who the winner was going to be recently.

Copying from another thread I was in, in this comment section, in hope that Ris sees this. jinx has never canonically met braum, whos one of the strongest human characters in the game lore. He did shake a mountain by punching it, and most other characters in league cant compare to that without magic. Lux similarly has incredibly powerful magic, the likes of which hextech has never shown comparable power to within the range of what jinx has access to even at her best. Ironically, the vi gauntlet feat is the most reliable one brought up in this thread. Jinx absolutely can tank hits from vi's gauntlets thanks to being enhanced (shes superhuman in league proper, not just in arcade). Even if she wasn't, people in zaun are so naturally hardy that even nameless goons have taken hits from vi's gauntlets, so it wouldn't be an outlier to say jinx can too. However, a lot of stuff they brought up in this video are things jinx simply doesn't have. All in game league items are completely non-canon for jinx to have, and saying "she can just get them lmao" doesn't work for two reasons. reason one is that, no, she cant just go get them. Many items in league of legends actually belong to characters within the game or within the lore. Even if they dont, reason two is that the actual lore versions of these weapons do not have the qualities or abilities of the in game items. Items in game have effects for ingame buffs, but it has no actual bearing on the lore versions of these weapons, some of which are just finely crafted items with no special effects in lore. Also, the phone thing and every interaction with characters not from zaun are completely non-canon to jinx. All of those are purely trailer based interactions which are not lore accurate at all. Even the clash between jinx and lux's ults was this way, as it was showing them both ulting the same person ingame. Which, again, in game things are not canon to the lore. If the in game actions were canon, jinx suddenly becomes one of the strongest characters in death battle as she can one tap universal level characters just by having the right build. Even with the most powerful weapons jinx has canonically had, she was unable to take down one building with a volley of massive rockets. Finally, jinx's poison resistance is not as powerful as they were making it out to be. Yes zaun is a toxic wasteland where many people live. However, zaun isn't an inherently poisonous location. The people are worse than the gases in Zaun. The worse in Zaun is mutations and even those are rarely life threatening in lore (and half of them are caused by another character). Harley's joker toxin would burn through what little toxin resistance jinx has, as it can even effect people with actual powerful poison resistance like metahumans. Now dont get me wrong, there is still an argument to be made of why Jinx can win this matchup. Despite the scaling inconsistencies, she still is physically stronger and faster than Harley, and actively carries a much more powerful arsenal on her person at all times. However, Harley also have many advantages, prime among them being her skill and experience, where shes faced similar odds with little difficulty. The match is very pitched, but the ridiculous scaling they gave jinx simply does not hold up.
