    Looks like a stern drive.

No it's an Irish bow drive.
It's prop driven he couldn't afford a jet unit yet and granmar didn't have adaptor for a sterndrive.
She actually split at the bow seems a couple of inches below sea level and caved in and sunk shortly after this video. That is why you should use 3 coats of anti foul.
Huh. You with me on this. You understand.

Hi mate what's the info on the drive and boat weight prop etc etc? Looks pretty quick? How many knots at WOT?

That's a lot of diesel engine for a 25 footer. Is it shaft drive or stern drive? I have a 30 foot Yanmar with a single 280 hp shaft drive, and it will do about 30 knots on flat seas, but I usually cruise a chop from 20 to 24 knots.

I have a 25 foot awlglas with a Cummins 6bta 370hp and it cruises at 14 to 18 knots and wot is 23 knots but I have a displacement hull

@@IndabandJams I've forgotten now because I sold the boat a couple of years ago. The boat was a Yanmar EX30 (boat and engine), but a search shows that it has been replaced by a slightly heavier pilot house model, EX30B. The original EX30 had a very small cabin, spanker sail on the back, and was light ... weighing a bit less than 3 tons. My guess is that wide open, I might have been doing a bit over 4500 rpms, but the dealer recommended not to run it wide open for more than 20 or 30 minutes. Because the boat was so light, and the waves are typically about a meter high, that 20 to 24 knots was the sweet spot for comfortable cruising to the Izu islands south of Tokyo Bay.

@@stevemartin4249 thank you for the insights. I have a 27ft center console with a single diesel engine down here in Brazil and I am thinking of replacing my old engine to a Yanmar 6LPA. I currently cruise at 20 knots at 1900 RPM with a 24 liter per hour consumption. I has been really difficult to find any type of data for me to understand how my fuel consumption and performance would behave.
