      Wanna see a shitty home gym you should see mine. None of my plates match, my half-rack is made out of 2x4s, my barbell is a galvanized steel pipe and some og my weights is natrual rocks in shopping bags 😂

    Joe u been inspiring me since the start of my gym journey a few months ago all of ur lifting vids give me motivation to keep going my squat has gone from just the bar to doing 60kg and my deadlift went from 20 kg to 120 kg and my bench has doubled in weight just because of u giving me motivation keep up the good work joe with ur vids 😁👍👍

    Hey joe, I don’t know if youve heard this before, or if you’ll even see this, but you should move your grip to a bit wider on bench press. Just to where your elbows are are a 90 degree angle to your forearms. This will activate your chest more, rather than your triceps, and also you’ll be able to push more weight. Not trying to criticize you, just trying to give some helpful advice. Congrats on the home gym!

      He has a coach dude. He’s doing this because he hurt his shoulder before and is waiting for it to recover completely and I’m sure he’s lifting for longevity anyway. As for chest activation what do you think the dip bar is for?

      @@wasd4542 either way the OP is right about the elbows being directly under grip. If Joe wants to have a narrow grip because of shoulder issues, that’s fine, but in that case he needs to tuck his elbows so they are under his hands.
      You’d think his coach would tell him this........oh no wait......it’s the fake merc, dog neglecting, stolen valor, pathological liar Mr BlahBlah.

    A small suggestion soundproof insulation on the walls could help lower the noise as well as there sounded like the garage had eco. Also could add some speakers that go in the corners of the room for day time workouts.

    I think you should widen your bench press grip. Your forearms should be perpendicular to the floor at the bottom of the press.

    for your chest adding some cable fly's and or db fly's would help your chest grow more for sure, atleast it did for me (we have almost the same stature and both lacking in chest development)

      1234 • DB flys are one of the few exercises I stay away from as they have a high risk for injury! Cables tho 100% worth it!

      @@adambridgwood1227 when it comes to db flys i used to do them like dorian yates does them and felt pain in the shoulder so i changed my form so that my palms are facing towords my body the whole time and felt no shoulder pain and more chest activation
      not everyone is the same so not every exercise works for everyone

      Wide bench grip is the dumbest bromyth gym nonsense out there. It’s an unnatural way to push. 45 degree angle is where its at. It’s safe and effective.

      @@fufu1405 he’s not doing 45 degree though that’s the point, I’m not on about touching the end of the bar. It’s closer to a close grip bench. (Edit) also if you think wide or what I’d call a normal bench grip a bro myth I don’t think you understand what the point of a bench press is. It’s a compound exercise with the chest being the main muscle group that you use and want to gain on. Why would you spend so much time and effort to gain muscle to get less from it? If you want a big chest then train ya damn chest more.
