- This is it! I am officially done with Modifying my motorcycle! It's just too expensive! Maybe we can add some more pretty parts to Appa in years to come, but I need to knock it off with all the bars and suspension upgrades haha! How does the saying go? "More Motorcycles, more problems?" lol!
In all seriousness, I am forever grateful to Farrow Harley-Davidson for always keeping me on the road, safe and comfortable! Check out our upcoming events together! bit.ly/3R4QjSa

Do you do your own service and installs on your motorcycle? This was the last time I had the Road Glide worked on: th-cam.com/video/vDWBwZMBTMo/w-d-xo.html
So far, I've done all the work myself, kind of have to now. I ride a Victory and there isn't even an Indian dealer in the Memphis area anymore.
It's a 1997 Gold Wing so I HAVE to do the service because no dealer will touch it. Fortunately not much really ever goes wrong.
For the most part I do my own. New tires, EBS Break flush and EMC replacement is all done by the dealer. Oil changes I do.
I've always done my own work, I don't like anyone touching my machines and this includes new bikes. I did the first service on my BMW R1250GS a couple of months ago and now I need to change the oil at 5000 miles. I love this bike and cant stop riding it. It does help that I was a Yamaha/Kawasaki/Suzuki mechanic for several years. ;-) And yes you need to ride a GS or GSA, 45+ years of riding and I've ridden a LOT of motorcycle, my GS is as close to perfect as anything I've ever ridden, hell it might be perfect.
Im a service tech for automotive, so i dont like other people touching my bikes, i do any and all repairs myself.
Valeria, Conan The Barbarian's warrior lover who died in battle but whose spirit is so powerful, it returns to aid Conan in his conquest. Fits the new bike well! Enjoy!
I just bought my first “cruiser” and it’s a 12 dyna and I’ve got to say I absolutely love it
Yes! Jess put that new fairing on the Dyna…😊👍👏🏻
Yes! Have 14” bars on my RG too and love them! Scheduled next week new Khrome Werks exhaust, heated grips and LED’s!! Whoot Whoot!!
Everyone is talking about winter and I’m just started in the big rides I like to do in what I think is the best season, fall !!!
Ive had a lot of different bikes over the years, im 58 yrs old and finally bought a BMW R1250GS , I need no other machine, well I do have a Triumph speed twin 900 for certain days, however, once I rode a BMW I understand what its about. Its a superb machine, I LOVE it ! I will never get rid of it unless its a trade for another BMW. In 8 months I put 11,000 miles on it, its my primary transportation. Enjoy that beautiful machine ! I may own one someday 👍
Good to see you on the fun little Dyna. I remember you searching for a wheel for her a long time ago!!
That new suspension on the dyna will be like night and day, easily the most noticeable improvement you will feel. Can't wait to to see what you think of it.
I absolutely love riding with Ape Hangers. They help to keep you in a up right position which is major for our lower back. When you add a back support man, you are going to feel like you are on the couch. When I come to Ohio, I would love to get out on a ride with you and your husband. Keep posting your videos, I enjoy them!
As for your Road Glide, As long as you keep it serviced, it will last. I have a buddy that has a 2000 Road Glide that has over 250,000 miles on it. He has been to Alaska 4 times on it. He even had the bike shipped to the UK 2 times. So it will be a good bike as long as you take care of it. Love your video's, keep safe pretty lady.............................
How about Freya, one of the Norse goddesses, might be a good choice for a name. As for the Dyna, the new fairing by Clock Works looks really great for the Dyna as well.
Nice!!! I think it looks sick!!! There is no better feeling than getting your bike set up correctly for you! I don’t think motorcycles are expensive, but quality mechanics are and worth every penny!!!
So very happy for you. It’s radically cool when you can ride all these different bikes. I personally have been riding for 30 years, and have owned more motorcycles than I can count. I am now in my middle 60s, and still rocking on my 107 ultra classic. Anyways, peace do you this day, keep the rubber side up, and enjoy life to the fullest for you see it’s the only one we got.
Nice to see you're enjoying yourself Jess
Appa looks awesome! It's a cosmetic change as well, but I think once you're used to them, they won't seem "too tall". I look forward to hearing about the benefits on a longer ride. Cheers!
I have those bars on my bike! they're awesome and fit so good. They look great on Appa!
I you are still looking for a name? Germanic Godess Walburga:- wore all white with a golden crown “White Lady” “Bright One”. She carries a spindle and mirror (the spindle matches Berchta, Freya and Holda).
I think it looks better with the Memphis Shade fairing. Having different bikes keeps them from all feeling the same.
Glad your keeping the Dyna!! Nice Stable of bikes!! 😎
I finally was able to test-ride the BMW R 18 B. I've been wanting to test-ride this beauty for a while now and finally accomplished it. The test ride and your video helped a lot in making my decision. Today 11-18-2023 I pulled the trigger and bought the BMW R 18 B in blue. Is definitely a different ride from my Road King. Thank you for your video and expertise.
As an Ohio rider I really enjoy your videos as well as your passion for all things motorcycles. Keep up the nice work Jess! I prefer Dunkin over Starbucks ;-)
But don't tell my daughter she's a Black Apron/coffee master at Starbucks 🙂
Hell yes you need that fairing on the Dyna! Maybe a nice 2 into 1 exhaust too! Having 3 bikes myself, I understand about trying to give each one the time they deserve. A lot of times I'll go out at night when the weather is nice after work and ride about 20-30 miles on each one. Very excited to see how excited you are when you feel the difference in the Dyna!
Love the bars. I replaced the drag bars on my Fat Bob with apes (shoulder hight) and it felt more relaxed and comfortably, but still felt confident to ride aggressively
Appa looks AND sounds great! Yip yip!
The new bars and lights look real good. Funny fact, I used to work in that building Farrow is in when it was NTW. Ride On!
Those new handlebars are awesome!!! 😳👍👏🏻🥰
You can never have too many bikes Jess! Ride ‘em and enjoy ‘em…. 👍🏻🇺🇸
Congrats on the new BMW! I was worried that Appa was going to get so many miles, that he’d start to resemble Adam’s WarHorse.
I can't understand how you show enough love to all of your bikes. I've got two and really have to work at giving them both enough riding time. I know, I know ... First World Problems!
I put one on my Dyna and it was great. The wind protection was really great. I was surprised. So DO IT NOW!
Jess! You finally got Legends! I'm so excited for you! The Dyna will be a Whole New Bike for you! You will be amazed!👍👍👍
Jess, as long as you own two wheeled machines, the mods are NEVER done. If they are it may well be time to get in the wind to sort out your head. As for expensive stealerships, as soon as the warranty ends, so does them working on the bike.
Wow, good, 3 bikes in one video. Yes, I service all my bikes myself (6 of them) Big thanks!!!
I have the FXRT fairing on my Dyna from RWD. I absolutely love it. I used to have the menphis shades one and it was good. But, my God I love the FXRT fairing.
Great to see you enjoying your motorcycles. ☀️
Has it been four years already ?! Wow time flies when you are enjoying life , yes folks subscribe and help this Motorcyclist hit 200K ! Loved this ride along , the bars seem to fit you and you will know when you get back from Arkansas, Ride on Girl !👍😎
I wouldn't change the fairing on the dyna. I think keeping it a little nakey would be nice for those little jots around town.
Great name for a white BMW, Opal! I like the old fashioned names for my bikes! My current bike is Scarlet. Thanks for the work getting the rides in! Got to be the bearing on the Dyna.
9:07 I’m so glad for you and hope to be there and ride this wonderful bike
Wish that one day you can come and visiting our lovely Egypt we will be honored 🥰😍🌺
My best wishes and enjoy ✌🏼
I just purchased the klock weks FXRP fairing for my Road King Special along with a set of thrashin supply bars and risers. I can’t wait to get it setup!
That Dyna should not shake. I made this comment before. I have a 2004 Sportster I purchased new and have Ohlins suspension on the rear, progressive fork springs up front, and one surprising thing that made a huge noticeable improvement in the handling - a new set of Pirelli Night Dragon tires. The bike rides smooth as can be. For real they’re going to find out what’s up with it and you’ll love that Dyna again.
Riding 3 bikes in a day and you own them. How cool is that! Nice!!!
Is the clutch on the Beemer still making noise?
Managing multiple bikes is a pain. I just had to pay annual registration for most of mine as well as renew insurance. The ol bank account took a big hit. And the bikes I ride a lot generally need to get serviced once a year. That's a lot to juggle for someone with a full time job and no garage.
Appa will last far beyond 115k if you take good care of him (and you do).
Flushing brake fluid is pretty easy. I avoided it for years because you have to be careful with the fluid (it can destroy your paint), but with a $59 mitey vac and some quality brake fluid, you can save yourself a pretty penny in labor costs. But then, you probably get a nice discount at Farrow. So that makes the hit a lot easier.
Suspension upgrades are expensive, but they sure make a big difference. I'm looking at Ohlins or Wilbers for my Road King. If you lowered the rear suspension on your Dyna and not the front as well, that increased the rake on the front, which will make the turning less nimble. It should make it more stable on the highway, though.
A term commonly used to describe one's collection of bikes is "stable."
I use a Garmin, vibration is never an issue, either. It's more expensive than a RokForm, but my phone is safe in my pocket no matter what goes down. Personal preference. I've used a dedicated GPS since before it was even viable to use your phone.
Your lights rock. Good coverage and not gaudy at all. Good ergos with your bars and such is essential for touring. I hear you do that once in a while? 😉
The Ciro 3D cup holders are amazing. I have one on my bike Cinnamon my 2018 Indian Roadmaster.
See you at Barber! I can’t wait to test ride the R18.
Living the dream Jess - love riding with ya & listening to your commentary - ya can never have enuff bikes 🤣 - and your styling is spot on - Knees to the Breeze Baby 👊🏼
On a happier note I love the bikes you Rock sister been watching you since the beginning your progression is amazing
i am subscribed and been since you had only the dyna, it's fun to watch you kids go thru the journey i did in the 70's and 80's
I love your Dyna... It's like a big Sportster ✌️👍🤙
I’m so glad you bought this bike. I bought my current bike last March. Unfortunately I think I should have bought the R18. i will be watching intently to see what I missed out on.
My first question: what are the RPM’s at highway speed?
Yup... Front neck bearing is loose... Just R&R the races and bearings while the forks are off. Easy to do then..
I had the head bearing on my 1999 Honda CBR600F4 wear out and it did that same thing. When on a corner the handle bars wound jerk in the opposite direction then you were going, it was scary. I got them changed and its great now. The bike add about 105,000 kms at that time, now its at about 107,000 kms (66,486 miles)
I put 4" risers on my Road King with the stock bars. Fells great.
Haven't got to the dealer checking it yer, could be steering head bearings due to the large amount of straight ahead riding, could also be the front tyre for the same reason. Hope you get it sorted 👍🏻
Do it! Put that KW fairing on the bike for sure.
I ride a 2014 FLHTK twin cam and a 1959 FL Harley. I do all my own work on those motorcycle. This year so far I've done 7097 miles.
Okay now here’s where you’re gonna really like your dyna with your new suspension system. I think you can put floorboards on that dyna, a highway bar along with highway pegs.
Yes! Love seeing the Dyna 👍🏻😊
Awesome video I really enjoyed watching this one. Can’t wait to see what you do with the Dina ride safe and enjoy
I'd scrap those dunflops on the dyna while at it.. best upgrade i ever did for the money. With that new suspension it deserves proper rubber!
We do almost everything. Some things better left to a professional. You have Jordan. I'm lucky to have my middle son Brian help me a lot.
Great vid! Rokform Rules!! #1 choice here also, Bike(s), truck, car, Rokform is the best by far!
Love the road glide.. got my attention on the BMW though. Stay safe!
I have to know why you chose 14in bars for your motorcycle and why the sharp angle instead of the curved bar end? Also what brand seat and model do you have on the opa Harley? I just want to know because I've have to do modifications on my Harley Road King and having a hard time knowing what heights bars to get what type of seat to get but I know I want to get legend suspension front and rear for that Road King it's an 08. I know it's a lot to ask questions but I think your input would help me decide what to get. Thanks and keep rubber side down 👍
I have a 2022B and I love it. Your bike's name is Pearl
Hi Jess how are you doing hope you are well your video are awesome keep it up from Chris in. New Zealand 🇳🇿 a little town called Wellsford good to catch up with you keep the wind in your face and the the sun on your back 😊
Ahh man i loved hearing dire straight! Haven't heard that song forever. Mark Knopfler is an amazing guitarist 🎸
Jess I think I subscribed to your channel back in its infancy. You were still a very novice rider. But wow, check you out now!
Keep it up!
Love to see it! ❣️
Those bars look sick if you ask me I love them!
HI Jess, I would definitely ho with the FXRT faring for the Dyna. I'm not a fan of all the vibration in that bike. The whistler will drive you bonkers. Lol Love all the improvements in suspension that you're doing on your bikes.
That bike is nearly perfect the way it is..i picked up my Transcontinental n traded in the old hog..what a difference!!☺️
Have them check the wheel alinment too. Usually if your yoke bearings are bad youll feel a clicking as you go over bumps. Or get off the bike reach under the yoke and pull straight up if you feel a click
Do it! Go for the new faring!
More name ideas, if you're still on a history and/or mythology track:
Boudica
Freja (or more often Freyja)
Freedom Performance exhaust sound killer on the Boxer motor!
love the new lights on your bike
I love your dyna!! I need to start doing my own service on my bikes. It would be so much cheaper. 😂
I heard Sultans Of Swing playing. Classic Rock is my favorite.
Brynhild suits that ride.
In Norse mythology, Brynhild is a Valkyrie, a female deity in service to the chief god Odin. When she defies him, he condemns her to life as a mortal, imprisons her in a castle surrounded by a ring of fire, and places her in a deep sleep from which only a hero can rescue her.
Then along came Zappa carrying that Hero..👍🏻🇦🇺
It's the neck bearings for sure that is giving you the notchy steering at low speed. Just had mine fixed on my 2022 KLR after only 14000 kms.
Tell me about it, I have so much into my 2004 Road King that I can't ever come close to getting it back. I love it and she is purty. I just pray for a spell where I don't have to invest more. I put the Legend Arc remote res rears on mine I did a different front. It does get very expensive.
I'm already subscribed, so I just liked. Happy Toodles!
A Her Two Wheels Bikes and Coffee ride/meet up could really be a thing!!
I know what you mean I bought a another motorcycle it already had the bigger bars on it and I was kinda worried I wouldn’t like the bars after I rode it for awhile I’ll never ever go to stock bars again lol I absolutely love them
Make sure you ride the Natchez Trace! Loved the ride along it we did!
discussing all the bikes ive seen on your channel and your husbands channel, i personally like the club style dyna as far as looks. reminds me of a new age David Mann painting from easy rider when you have your camping gear on back lol
I vote for the KlockWerks. Would look great on the Dyna.
You have your logistics cut out for all the different services. I have a 2011 Sportster Nightster 1200 her name is Darla. I do majority of maintenance on Darla. I also have a 2022 Heritage Classic 114 her name is Jasmine. I perform basic maintenance on her... It's very expensive for HD to perform maintenance
If it was my motorcycle, I would name her Dolly Parton! Cool video!
Thank you for awesome videos! Mrs. Jess
A girl has to have choices on the bikes too. Great collection by the way! ✌️
As for the faring, I would say yes and possibly a new cam as well
notched steering head bearings is usually a result of wheelies. the front end slamming down beats on the bearings.
where are your leg rest for the r18b ? your feet can get pretty hot on those floor boards on those 90 degree + days
I think the fairing would look cool
You should name it Falcor the luck dragon
Appa needs more yip yips 😅 love the bikes. They are beautiful!
Your BMW is a beautiful machine. I went and looked at them. They are much bigger than what they appear in the videos. Let us know how your shoulders feel after a long ride with those bars.
Isn't the CVO louder than the Dyna? At least it seems like it on camera?
