Real talk tho, Rare kinda allowed the SoT community to be toxic as hell. Good luck trying to have a casual play session without at least one crew chasing you for and hour and a half sinking you over and over because “private or PvE servers would go against the spirit of the game.” Like bro what’s so wrong with having PvE servers for those that want it😭

Funny how private servers can revive the original point and fun of this game.
For context this is my second favorite game of all time but holy shit it’s been in dire straits lately. The community fractured, the updates questionable, the preformance dissolving. I envy new players with a trove of content to enjoy but as a day 1 player the well has run dry. I crave moments like these but out there on the high seas they be few and many nautical miles between. Hourglass mode stinks, diving has made the servers quickly empty, the story is on freeze. The seas be not as chaotic and lighthearted as they once were.
