      The reason is known. He got passed up on depth chart and started missing meetings. Took a pissy attitude around which I'm sure was toxic to the rest of the team. Now they didn't start great and they don't need that negative cloud around. Bye

      if you get beat out in practice by a 5th string rb you have a problem in a team way

  • @Theplaymaker1271

    When Wisconsin brought in Mellusi, Berger was upset and instead of rising up to the occasion, he let the competition get to him and took a poor attitude. Started being late or skipping meetings and workouts and had a negative attitude which is toxic on a team struggling to win games. His performance also dipped noticeable and instead of trying to improve it seemed he blamed the circumstances. Ultimately was a bad apple on the team and they dismissed him although it was semi-mutual at that point.
    Part of it too was Wisconsin got a new RB coach in the late spring. He's a great coach but ultimately the players in the room are not his guys and he's still feeling them out and building relationships/figuring out who's gonna be the guy. When Mellusi won the job, and with Guerendo and Braelon Allen stepping up that was probably the straw for Berger. I wouldn't be surprised if Berger ends up at Kentucky as that's where Wisconsin's old RB coach is, or if he ends up back home at Rutgers

    • @harmoniouspassion
      @harmoniouspassion 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It sounds like Berger has a pessimistic explanatory style or he sees the glass half empty. Not much of a problem if you’re always winning, but a real problem when negative things happen. I hope he finds his way.

    Wisconsin representative told ESPN he wasn't dismissed for any off the field issues.
    But I'd have to say with you pretty much hit the nail on the head as to why he lost reps. Good running back room and having Chez transfer from Clemson I'm sure only hurt this youngsters pride and caused him to lash out in some manner.
    I'd say Nebraska will take the guy in but running back room is full and even though they haven't fully showed what they can do I like and most of us here like what we got going. Even with the losses we've had this year.

      Apparently Chez was his roommate too and they got along, so it sounds like Berger's issue was with the coaching staff. I'm sure Berger felt somewhat betrayed by the coaching staff which likely led to the poor attitude. Hes a kid so the immaturity is understandable but he should have handled the situation better by just gritting his teeth and working even harder to reclaim the starting job. He'll transfer somewhere else and if things work out well, he could still potentially have an NFL career

    LSU would take him, but that place is a dumpster fire right now.
    Their run game is atrocious, but the o-line has a lot of problems.
    Their coach will be fired by the end of the season and no one knows who will be running the program next year.

    I think you assume quite a bit for someone who says they didn't want to deal in rumors... That's all this video was about. Now you don't have a clue as to what happened but now everyone who watched your video will be searching those rumors online and fueling the fire before you even have a hint of an idea. Was he removed or he withdrew??? That wasn't mentioned, so I assume you threw his up just to get the hits from people searching his name. Real nice.
