    The best way to test someone’s maturity isn’t to give them more responsibility. It’s to give them freedom and see if they remain disciplined.

    I'm from Wayne. I played at Wayne Hills, not with Olsen, but he's a well known kid here. He's up there with guys like Greg, Dowling, the Njoku's and others in terms of what he's done for the program. You can tell today that he regrets some of the mistakes he's made earlier, he's a good guy and always tries to nudge the younger guys in the right direction.

    I wish the bears never would’ve traded Greg Olson. Seems like they find good pieces and trade them at the worst possible times. I pray to god they move to Arlington heights, get new ownership (the McCaskey family are notoriously cheap) and try to get an adequate coach and offensive coordinator. They are a team with an amazing history and they’re in a top 3 sports market. I was born and raised in Chicago and it’s painful to see them waste these championship level defenses with bottom 3 offenses. Pain.

    Not exaggerating, Kevin Olsen was practically the Tom Brady of NJ HS Football back then (I was born in the same month and year as him) .
    There used to be a local network called MSG Varsity which aired an entire documentary about him and his entire family where he was uber hyped. Wayne Hills was probably the best public school in the state when it came to HS football, when he was healthy they would dominate every public high school opponent (with the occasional loss to a recruited parochial school) and win champions like it was an annual tradition.
    And then he blew it.
    He's mostly to blame but Wayne Hills also has a bit of a sketchy past. If the coaches/his dsds indifferent reaction to an incident involving two team mates (not involving him) violently assaulting someone at a party during his junior year is indicative of how he parented him as a dad then this video shouldn't be so shocking.

    I remember Oregon had a kid like that super talented but threw it all away, played multiple positions on offense, special teams even a little on D. Guaranteed future NFL star at either Fullback or Tight End, a much bigger and faster John Riggens type, players on D were scared of even trying to stop him, you could see them hesitate. He threw it all away, just could not stay out of trouble, had a terrible childhood and could not overcome it, multiple felony arrests for drugs, assault etc. Appears today to be a meth head, could have been a millionaire football star.

She was a fine blonde lady that was Into black dudes seeing as her husband is and went after this STUD. He didn't even get in trouble lol. He Got recruited by Bama. She got fired and disgraced lol he won the natty his freshman year i saw his ass on TV lift up the trophy, he didn't really play but still. he was supposed to start the next season but he decided to rob a kid at school take his computer and credit cards and then go use credit cards and got caught red handed. • @Canedude08
      @Canedude08 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mrs. Olsen, CHOOSING to leave means one had a choice. Your husband didn't have a choice, he had to either leave or be kicked off the team. Take it from someone around the Miami program at the same time as your husband(I covered the team while working on my masters at UMiami), it wasn't a choice, the only reason he wasn't officially booted from the program was because of how beloved Greg is and out of respect for the Olsen family.
      We are all happy that Kevin has matured and is living right, but he brought trouble on himself by being an entitled, immature brat. He didn't just burn bridges, he dynamited them. It takes a lot of doing to consistently fail drug tests(To get suspended for a failed drug test means you had to pop positive at least once before), it takes effort to get asked to leave two different programs, despite having top end talent. Kevin just didn't have it between the ears to succeed and lacked the maturity that his brother had, and I was fortunate enough to have taken classes with Greg while we were both undergrads. Your brother in law is what any program would want in regards to a student athlete, and he is a hilarious dude to boot.
