I remember when they was telling everyone to buy diesel so I got one. With in a year price if diesel gos up. Then don't buy diesel buy petrol. I still have my diesel but looking for a petrol and BAM now this E10 🤯
I was really peed off when I found out my nissan primera doesn't run on e10, yes the super does cost more but after hearing the negative results of the new fuel, I'm kinda glad I'm having to pay that bit more.
I noticed a drop in economy when I started putting E10 in my bike. It also seemed less willing to pull, so I just put premium in now, which as you say, is only 50 odd pence more a tank on a bike.

As in my video 70cc don't do it Bud really it won't last long and take a lot to set up Guessing your 16 so can't get a 100cc or 125cc yet Best upjet , sports exhaust , air filter, variator and rollers That will get the best out of your 50cc bud

I wasnt bothered about E10... untill I used it now i'm still not bothered about it! I,ve never had a problem with it, either in my cars or bikes. I'm not convinced about the "damage" its supposed to do as I've not encounted a single problem that I haven't encountered with an older engine running on older fuel types!
Started using E10 this last week after my local station had done away with all the old petrol. My fuel gauge is dropping so much faster it’s horrendous, my drive to work and back is about 45 miles and on the old stuff it would do about 3 full journeys per quarter tank, now it’s only doing not even 1 and half before a quarter is already gone. Is the super unleaded much better in terms of fuel economy then?
I agree I'm not using E10 in my Triumph Daytona 675 2012 as its my play bike. Super unleaded for the Triumph and my all weather work bike the Yamaha Neos 50cc 2006 .
My Fiesta 1.4 Zetec runs fine on it, but the scooter takes a while to start sometimes.. old-fashioned carburettor type GY6 125cc Chinese engine. Going to try the super unleaded and see what happens!
I'm from the states and I just moved to the EU got a Citroen C3. The check engine light went off after taking on e95. Apparently it requires e10? It shouldn't matter right? Or do I need to find an E5 pump? I'd rather not run it if it's just a scam. Car ran fine on the 95
E10 jammed my Honda car fuel gauge at full, never had any issues before. Sure it is causing a conflict with the resistor in the fuel sender. I only used it because Morrisons are crap and only have 2 pumps with super unleaded equivalent, I was running late and those pumps are always being used. It is slowly going down now, but back to Tesco with their Momentum or Shell/BP garages. Chucking a spare can of BG44K in to help clean the tank a bit.
In 2008, Cornell University published some research by one of their learned people that said that to make one gallon of ethanol it takes 130'000 BTUs. The amount of energy you get back is 70'000 BTUs. It costs more to make ethanol than petrol. Doesn't stack up to me.

Now ... hows a clever way to get rid off petrol? simple change the type of fuel after i youve knackered your vehicle wether its a car or bike then you'll go out an buy electric instead just to save yourself the hassle which is what they want you to do in the first place. I can tell u this my 2004 yaris 1.0 vvti goes very well on the E10 I can definitely tell it produces more power on torque especially in the mid range . But it definitely uses a little more juice doing this ..
I haven't used e10 in a bike but in my car I've lost MPG. I usually put £20 a time in my tank and used to get 100 miles from it, now I get about 85. I think that's about 4 MPG less but the price hasn't come down as promised.

The only thing I can think of is the higher octane is affecting the CVT? You might need to jet down to account for the higher octane? I can't imagine you'd need to change roller weights to account for the fuel but my knowledge of 2T is very limited. My first (and only) thought would be the higher octane fuel is making the CVT rev out faster, maybe too fast? Maybe Mark should do a video on whether down jetting is needed with higher octane 🤔

Actually I feel a bit dumb now because what I think is happening it that the digital fuel guage is hugely vague and I'm judging milage on the cost at the pump which, using super, is more expensive doh! I didn't think the extra cost of super would be so evident on a ped. Glad I sold the car. 🙂
My car hates it, power is down, it is hesitant at low speeds. When I have full car, ie crap, people and or tools, pulling out of a busy junction, is not the mash the peddle and go it was on E5. Manufacturer said the car is compatible, but the dealership mechanics said they were not happy with it when testing it on their own cars.
I have a 19yr old honda and as far as I'm aware it will run on E10 and i have been using it but it seems like I've got more flat spots and the engine sounds more tappy so think I'm going to start using super unleaded.
I'm sure I put E10 in my ped it was running great then I topped it up and after a few days it was getting harder to start the thing cleaned the Carb around 4 times it got too the point it would not start at all so I sold it for 50 pound to a mate

It should run ok. Most manufacturers have tested it and anybody from 2012 onwards should be fine. But i personally aint using it dont trust it . Super unleaded for me..

I used shite 10 the other day, used up 10 miles of fuel to drive 4 miles in the morning...the tank just dropped. Then drove back in the afternoon which was hot weather and used 0 miles of fuel to drive the 4 miles. back. I think the ethanol was evaporating in the warm tank🤣🤣🤣.
Just filled up my shitty little Chinese pitbike and it started deceleration popping, off throttle. Think e10 is the problem or is it an engine problem? Engine is only a year old and been well looked after. Bike has a carb.
We have E10/E15 in the states, it's fine, you'll live. Especially in cars, the modern ignition systems can adjust for it, but yeah just put the super in your classics/bikes
It's all a scam! Apart from all the things you have mentioned, ethanol has a lower calorific value than petrol (about half) which is why meths stoves take twice as long as petrol stoves to boil water. Obviously you will then need more E10 pumping through the engine to get the same power output as petrol without ethanol and even if there was a global warming problem, which there isn't, you are inevitably going to pump out more or less the same amount of CO2. So the only people benefitting from it are those people who are growing the biofuel and all the people who used to eat food from the land where biofuel is being grown are likely going to starve. The emissions crap has become a joke, I have recently bought a Kisbee with a GY6 engine as a run around, it has now got direct injection, and I suspect that is entirely because its the only way of meeting the emissions targets by making the engine burn fuel more efficiently, however earlier Kisbee's had a power output of 2.9kw whereas the current one has 2.6kw, which may not make much difference in a large engine but does make a difference in a 50cc bike. The old Honda C50 had a power output of 3.6kw. At the end of the day by continually ramping up emission standards (so they claim) eventually the power output will be zero. Basically the power output is directly related to the amount of fuel burned. Anyway rant over!

The direct injection may work better on higher octane fuel but I know there is much debate over the whole octane issue! But it does make sense that if direct injection is used to create a more efficiently timed combustion it would also benefit from the use of a fuel that burns more specifically, so to speak. No doubt an engineer will correct me on that point!

Been using e10 in a VW Golf and Mercedes for 3 weeks now and it's messed up the fuel gauge readings on both cars

2011 are fine on it and most did start to use better parts before but if its ok great , just dont leave it in your tank without using it

Had the Same issue with my Accord when I had it. I dont touch the stuff now. Super unleaded only
My jazz does average 31mpg on e10 and finds it hard to start in cold on e10, now on super and we up at 55mpg and flick of the key it starts up
Buy Esso's premium petrol and it has 0% ethanol (in most of the UK I think but there are exceptions). Even better than e5 👍

I get less mpg using super 99 in my Aprilia SR50 scooter.

Today I filled with e10 for the first time because of the fuel crises...Not sure what I can do until things calm down
