This wonderful and rare little video from 1965 shows some of the landmarks of Dandenong, Including a section of the west side of Lonsdale Street. With the rarity of video footage of Dandenong for this era we are thankful to Mike Leydon for sharing it with the wider Old Dandenong community.

Dandenong had lot neon as I remember kid driving through dandy ham big pig classic Something worth waking up for to look at ,if we had got home and hadn't been woken up see fav pig I remember feeling ripped off ,when mother say tried wake ya ,nah no didn't always wake up look at the dandy ham sign 😜😴🤣😂😁😄talk of putting back up on what was old hardware shop foster st ,bit like vinager skipping girl think they finally did do it 20 years later ,,nah think dandy ham 🐖 never see neon
