    When talking of the women emailing me, none of them are listening to me without their husband's consent, lol.
    The reason they don't tell me their name is because they are afraid of the NIFB. They are afraid of being preached about.
    Some are women who have left the nifb *with their husbands. Their husbands are all for them watching me *now, haha.
    Some are women telling me of abusive situations they were in, and their pastor told them not to tell anyone.
    The fear of being preached against is very prevalent in the NIFB. Thus, the need for anonymity.
    I have never encouraged women to go against their husband's wishes.
    Also, I only encourage women who are BEING BEATEN OR IN FEAR FOR THEIR LIVES to seek help..I dont tell women to seperate over disagreements. 😂😂😂
    The amount of lying and gaslighting going on.....quite hilarious, honestly.

    Here are my thoughts: I’ve been listening to GLS on and off since the very beginning. In the beginning, I found it very difficult to relate to the views of the former co-host. I told my husband I related more to you and that you brought balance to the show when the former co-host would go to the extreme. So YOU are the sole reason I’m still here.
    I think you’re demonized for having a voice and using it. Even in the GLS FB group, I’ve noticed that sometimes, some of the ladies seem to equate having a voice to not being submissive, incorrectly applying the verse of women being silent in the church to mean we should be silent everywhere. If they have husbands who think that way, then you’re easily seen as a threat. I love that you’re a woman who embodies what it is to have original thoughts and opinions while also being in full submission to your husband.
    I’ve met you once in person and I highly respect you. I may go long periods of time without watching, but I usually end up coming back and binging a bunch of shows lol. Keep doing what you’re doing. You’re doing a fantastic job.

      It is a nifb trait to be extreme and over the top with things and it doesn't work. We have to aim for sustainability. Life is a marathon not a sprint..those who I have known who were over the top are out of church and not even serving God.
      Thank you for your kind words, they mean a lot. It doesn't even really bother me that I am being demonized, because truth always prevails at the end, I just thought I would address some things because it's being brought to my attention.
      God bless!

    Hey Ms. McMurtry I honestly love the work you are doing and I took a break from your show simply because I felt it was making me focus so much on what I don't have (a husband) that I was not seeing the goodness of God all around me. I would love to someday have a family like yours TBH. I turned 30 recently and honestly I get discouraged about it sometimes. I am trusting God to open the marriage door for me soon. May God continue to keep you because this world needs more of you.
    If you are looking for video ideas I would love to hear what advice you would give your younger self. Younger in terms of you are new to marriage and have 2 to 3 kids. Thanks again.

    Some people just hate other people’s liberty in Christ. Older women should teach the younger. People are still commanded by God to search out the scriptures to see if what you are saying is truth and it’s okay to talk about preferences. It’s hilarious that evil men and Pastors get triggered by you. They hate you because their deeds are evil and you’re calling out sin at times. People will 100% hate you for that. God gets to judge in the end and Gods opinion is the only one that matters.

    Another thing: I learned most from your episode years ago about how to dress modestly. I’ve been modest my whole life, but I couldn’t figure out how to wear certain clothing without showing cleavage. It drove me insane. On that episode, your guest said she bought spaghetti strap tank tops that she would wear under dresses to cover up her chest. My mind was blown! I thought those dresses were made that way and kept trying to find dresses and shirts like that! Now I own a plethora of spaghetti strap tank tops and can comfortably wear certain dresses and shirts without feeling uncomfortable and constantly rearranging my clothes.

    Exactly. Even though I have not met any of you in person ,when I consider the McMurtry's, you both seem to be very loving and balanced. Slandering is very foolish. If anyone has issue with you they need to contact you and talk to you. If I had issue with someone I would go talk to them. If I was a Pastor I would NOT make that a sermon. Slander sermons are sinful.

      Baptists are VERY political, and they only seem to fear the influence of others. We agree with 99 percent of the doctrine of the NIFB, but stand against the behaviour and lifestyle. We just can't condone that and it drives them nuts. The fruit of the OIFB is strong families, and we also don't see that in the NIFB. The NIFB is young, but so far the fruit of the family is not good. No thanks, our priority is our family.

    I do not normally watch your videos as they are geared toward women. However I was drawn to listen to it as a result of the contentions in the NIFB. I cannot think of a single good reason why any husband in the NIFB would forbid their wives from listening to your podcast. Being someone raised and indoctrinated heavily in the quiverfull ideology, and having seen the problems in new Ifb and regular ifb churches with families who hold to that mindset, I could not agree more with your opinion on birth control. It's the same old story across the board. These women are typically and quite burnt out, sad, depressed, easily irritable, and quite often plagued with various health problems that could have been avoided if they used NFP or a barrier method. Without surprise, they end up neglecting their children and in some cases cause them to go to the world because they were righteous over too much and became entangled with a grievous yoke of bondage God never intended for them bear. To my knowledge, the only woman I can think of who believes this doctrine, lived it out to have many children, and appears happy and satisfied has in my estimation an extraordinary higher than average intelligence and very good health. Nowhere in the Bible does it ever forbid these types of birth control you mentioned. The only thing I think you can learn from Onan is that it is a sin for a man to prevent a woman who wants a child from having one. You'll never see a story where a woman is being condemned or killed because she wants to hold off on having more children for her own personal health and well-being.
    Also, I don't remember ever meeting a person, pastor or otherwise, in the new IFB who told me you shouldn't use breastfeeding to space out your children. If remember correctly, at Stedfast my wife knew of a well-respected lady who purposely would breastfeed her child to prevent having another child too soon even though he was ready for solids. That is birth control.

    • @GentlyLedSisters
      @GentlyLedSisters  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I could not agree more with your very logical comment. Segura claiming that I believe in using "birth control" is absolutely a lie, my proof lies in the fact I have had eleven pregnancies and eight live births. Also, with nfp, God is still ultimately in charge, because if he wants you to have a baby, you will conceive and have a baby. I base my opinions and beliefs off of what I have seen, and where the Bible is silent, we do not get to make up rules. You nailed it with the quiverfull women. I have also seen that, and yes, the children are neglected. Thanks for your insightful comment.

      And it's so funny, because Segura gaslit me so badly, I went back and read the transcript of the video and re-listened to myself, just to make sure I hadn't said what he claimed I did. Haha! I didn't, he lied and misrepresented me badly. I am glad he is telling people to listen to my video! Maybe, for once in their lives, they will hear a balanced approach to things.

      @@GentlyLedSistersI went ahead and listened to what he said closely. I think his claim that you advocate birth control is probably a matter of semantics. I remember thinking that natural family planning was not considered birth control until I did an internet search. According to wikipedia, not only hormonal pills, iuds, patches, but barrier methods, nfps, and lactational amenorrhea (which he advocates ) are all considered to be forms of birth control.

    • @GentlyLedSisters
      @GentlyLedSisters  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      So I guess it's only "NOT" birth control (lactational amenorrhea) if it's Anderson approved. Got it. Also, I know first hand even Zsuzsanna has advocated for nfp in certain situations. (in comments on facebook, plus I just know that's what she believes. If she says otherwise, she knows better.)
      They all use word semantics like that. It's a way of manipulation and gaslighting and they are masters at it.
