I always loved Overture and it is one of my favourite songs from QLS! This revamp has made me love it even more. You guys cooked But at the same time, I love the old version, with its more emotional and calm instrumental. I don't know which I prefer, they both are amazing honestly.
Funny story: I was listening to the final teaser for SSFv4 bc it’s a banger, so then out of ig curiosity, I refreshed the page hoping it would just magically appear and I shit you not, on the FIRST refresh, this appeared. THIS SHIT IS PEEEEEEEAAAAAK 🗣️🔥🔥🔥
Honestly? Yes, it absolutely did need a remake. Overture V1 was very under baked, and had a lot of technical issues that held it back. By the standards of QLS, it fell way behind. This revamp is exactly what I think people wanted from the original, it's a damn good listen.
It remind all of us, herbert and death sacrifice to be the strongest survivor : Herbert gets corrupted Because of peter And Death was sacrificed to be corrupt himself Or maybe it was joe did it to him So very sad to be sacrificed both strong survivor....
Instant 9/10. Had to listen a couple of times to get used to it but once I did I loved every second! Only thing I would change is maybe better vocal mixing
Overture V1 was more intense, this revamp has a more calm and soothing theme. It makes me wanna add it to a playlist of calm music to listen to while doing homework or something. I've seen a lot of people feel mixed about this or just prefer V1. I'd say if intensity is your thing, go with V1! This song gets an 8/10 for me.
Agree to disagree, yes the 2 parter nonsense with Quagmalgam was just odd especially since part 2 never got hinted whatsoever nor did it come out. But this song is just mid to me, it's better than the Original but it's not better than Quagmalgam.
The revamp is okay. The only problems are that I can barely hear Death and Herbert, and the song wasn't nearly as intense as V1 and V2 originaly was. Especially Joe's uncorrupting. You could've done a lot more with that, like in V1.
Good but heavier drums, less repetitive instrumental and a better mixing would help it be better because man this is even more boring than the OG even though its vocals sound better. PLUS, the segment where everyone gives their best to free Joe is missing. Other than that, pretty good.
Idk how to feel about this revamp. The Instrumental sounds Godly. But. Something just sounds off. Idk what it is. One being death and herberts vocals being way to quite. So imo I like the old overture much better.

Me as well, I feel like the instruments are a bit louder than vocals. Joe’s breaking free is not epic like the old one and the last speech of Death’s instruments are hurting my ears. Overall, I like that one “BRING IT ON” though. And Cleveland’s and Glenn’s breaking free parts are better than the old one for sure. (I’ve mix feeling about Peter’s breaking free part though.).

They really ain't that intense, most of the time there mild but with beats n other effects added.)

Eh, I don’t really like it, it’s kinda a downgrade, I don’t have much constructive criticism to give, except the volume of Death, Herbert and kinda Brian a bit, and you also did not have to have this song be this long, 7 minutes is a bit much considering this isn’t even the finale yet, and I can’t tell what happens at what part, like what part Death and Herbert join in, etc. Tl;dr: large downgrade, overture v1 and quagmalgam were better, but to the composer of the song, you did a good job and I could tell you put effort into it, though this song could use a bit of work.

Man, idk about this one. I get that Overture has been revamped so many times at this point, but this one just isn't it. The vocals seem either way to loud or quiet, and it suffers from the same issues as the og - bland instrumental and kinda simple vocals. To top it off, there just isn't any visual things other than the still image of the visualiser. Imo, Quagmalgum was (and still is) peak and it is a shame it got scrapped (I think, based on Cleveland and Quagmire being here and corrupted.) It's honestly just a shame everything is being abandoned or scrapped at this point, with the things that have been done just being unnecessary like the Fragmented revamp. I doubt this will get another revamp either, so no matter what I say this is probably the final version. I truly hope that SSF and whatever revamps that are left live up to expectations, good luck team
