love this, excited to get my Quad relatively soon but I want to say your examples here are superb esp starting at 5:48... cant wait to try stuff like this!!!!
I also own the same module but I find hard to use it as a classic vca/enveople and at the same time route in the rest CV other mods. For example if I send on the second cv an LFO u can hear the effect in the overall sound but when the key is unpressed the LFO continues to cycle where I would want to it stop like my envelopes. Am I doing something wrong?
well, I would like to know if it can actually sound similar to a Prophet 5. I would actually like to hear it in the context of a traditional synth patch (2 oscs --> mixer --> filter --> VCA )
Gotya. It's definitely got a traditional synth/prophet vibe. Like as soon as I started using it that's the kind of structure I thought it would excel at.
I know you stacked the vcas here to distort but my Quad VCA distorts things without stacking, even if i just use a sine wave and i turn the CV up full with any level at all i get a nice distortion is this because its playing the sound twice one coming from the CV and again from any level i add?, this is normal right? Does this happen with all VCA's as the Quad is my first? I get some awesome sounds with it so glad i chose that one tbh!
Yes you're right, you can just use one VCA and crank the CV up and it will distort, but I didn't realize that at first. But I did notice that If you stack 2 VCA's the distortion is a bit more complex and brighter.
Yeah i'm adding two more VCA's and it gives a much brighter distortion wow its really nice love this Quad VCA really its the most amazing things when people kept saying "can never have enough vcas" i was like that really means " don't not have enough" but now i starting to know what they mean by "you can never have enough" lmao. For anyone looking for a great VCA the Quad VCA by intellijel really is the business! One more thing i found is that if you add the two vca's and then play with the at about 3/4 and the level about 1/4 roughly and give it some linear you can get the distortion to kind of follow the envelope a little bit so it changes intesity its a very very cool effect!!!!
Intellijel Quad VCA vs MI Veils??? What do you think? Like the Intellijel more but Veils is cheaper and has same features... Hard choice. What about sound quality?
Great review! Nice distortion trick!
great module, has the functions of three to four different modules all in one. My next module for sure
Excellent for the money, and the linear/exp control adds the perfect amount of flexibility for me.
I know they are already available on the site, but I pre-ordered mine form a retail shop as well as the Plonk!
Thank you for using nylon washers!

some nice ideas here!
great video.
Can I ask to demo the E440 next? I have not found a good video covering it.
Yes, it's going to be the next video I do
by the way, is there anything specific you want to see regarding the E440?

Thorsten Peters have been looking for a video on this for a. Long while now. Still haven't found anything :/
Veils doesn't have an offset (i.e., mix level) or boost.
Hey where can i get that maths2 faceplate looks awesome
djnosleeves85 they are made by grayscale
Perfect
Are you amplifying your line level audio signal here prior to the VCA?
It's coming out my DAW at a high level, but not enough to clip.
ummm came here for quad vca but.... maths/\2!? is this just a redesign or does it include new functionality?
Maths2 is such a great module, mine has a panel made by a company called grayscale, so it looks a little different from stock.
