Great stuff Dave. Love the LED lighting. Hopefully the good weather the UK has been experiencing means you have been able to get SJ out more the past couple of weeks.
Hilariously not been out for 2 weeks now as I've had to go away with work :( and now I'm back the forecast is ran/thunderstorms and floods. I couldn't make this shit up :(
@@DavesBoat I'll bet that was 4 figures but then doesn't everything on a boat start at £1000? I just took delivery of a tonneau in duck for my toy car - my template, me to fit, and £100 on fasteners, so that was almost £500 all in, and its about a quarter of the material needed or less for a boat canopy.
Had your channel suggested to me a few weeks ago and subscribed because it’s nice to see a down to earth realistic take on owning a boat. Have no boating history but really want one but have sod-all budget at the mo..good to see the unvarnished truth and how to upgrade and maintain a ‘budget’ boat...I’m subscribed to ‘Aquaholic’ channel and he’s also very good and has a similar boat to you..very helpful, many thanks. 👍
Just found your channel Dave , and just subscribed ... Enjoying it I'm not too far away from getting a boat myself now ( something similar in size ) Looking forward to watching Sally Jane progress 👍🏻
Really enjoyed this compilation Dave. SJ is looking really good. I really liked this format of a short clip on each of the jobs you completed, maybe one to use again in the future. Keep up the good work. It’s appreciated. L
Nice update Dave, boat’s looking great. Must be running out of jobs or does that never happen? Makes a change from the ‘big fella repeatedly headbutts fire extinguisher’ video I watched recently!
Haha yeah makes a little change. Jobs left to do, create nema2000 network for chart plotter stereo and AIS, new canopies, finish getting seats off for a retrim, polish rest of front ( still not done 🤣) and arch, service engines. Then o iust have through hulls to update and outdrives to service when I lift for winter then I think I'm done 🤣. Also end of August I'm planning a trip to Bridlington weather allows
@@DavesBoat thanks mate. Also where’s your video where you fitted the power switch for the arch lights on SJ ? I fancy doing the same and I remember you describing the wiring process
Watching with interest. I have just purchased a 1996 Sealine S28. Currently arranging haulage. I will have a lot of little jobs to do too :)
The jobs list is surprisingly long and never ending even on a boat in good condition and not neglected like SJ was when I got her.

@@DavesBoat Ain't that always the way :(
I think that re-trimming those 'carpet' trim panels will make a big difference to the look ad feel of the interior. Best of luck with it.
Going to be doing the carpets soon just got the expensive shock of new canopies to get over first 🤣

@@kevinwells768 canopies are going to be about 3k ish an unexpected cost

Hi Dave, would you have a link for the lighting please?
amzn.to/3eUbFxA but anything like this would work just fine.
@@DavesBoat cheers Dave
Hi Dave - how were the clocks fixed on? Can’t work how to get mine off
They push up both the barometer and the clock, they can be a little.stiff
