It sounds like a nightmare to me if you injure yourself or get sick and have to weigh going to the hospital and possibly going deep into debt. I think people in places with universal healthcare are also more likely to see a doctor before something gets really bad vs in the US where they might hold out hope it will get better on its own and they won't have to pay.

As a Canadian with a genetic condition that means I had my first surgery at six, I am greatful that I have not been bankrupted by the numeruous surgeries and medical intervations I have required in my 60 years of life.
I pay $860 a month for mine and my husbands health insurance.... That's a mortgage payment for some, a new car payment for others. The health insurance is the lowest one I can get, sadly, and it sucks lol. But, I don't want to lose my house if I get cancer or something, so here I am, paying a fortune a month for this crappy health insurance. I am just out of the range of Obama care. I live in WA state and have called health insurance companies to ask if I can get a lower premium, they say sure, what state do you live in!? Washington state... Oh we can't help you then...like this state is one of the few that has something going on with it to keep prices high for health care from health insurance companies. I think it's because of my states 'Apple Care' in the end... which I also don't qualify for xD
Yeah I'm lucky too to be Canadian (Alberta) and with falling off horses and my mtn bike or fishing (hooks) etc I am so glad for our health care despite its flaws.
Trigger warning this is sad, I have such a hard time with healthcare here in America. I read stories like Heather Maberry's, and wonder how much debt she's still in from her pregnancy, and if she gets a bill every month reminding her of her trauma and loss. It's absolutely depressing. I wish she could have fled to Canada and at least not have the bills. Sorry, I know it's a downer, but if I don't put it out in the world, I'm going to cry all frikkem day. It just really hurts, and I think about it a lot. I wish more Americans understood how much not getting a bill for the rest of your life can help you mentally. Thanks for listening and speaking out.
Here in the US it gets even more scary as you get older. If you end up in a nursing home and you don't have the money to pay your Medical bills they'll take your house and everything you own. My daughter is going to nursing school she is working as a tech at a hospital. Some of the stories that she has told me about the neglect of people that have come into the hospital from some nursing homes is not pretty. Usually they are low-income nursing homes. The difference between the rich and the poor is extremely unfair when it comes to care of our elderly.
Everything was fine until I had kids. My son...oh my gosh. This kid. In one swoop he managed to break two bone pieces off of his wrist bone and they were floating around in there. 3 doctors. Tons of nurses. That was his worst injury. My daughter was born with a small hole in her heart. Day #2 of her life we meet with her paediatric team that would follow her for the next 2 years along with her family doctor. I have no idea how much we've cost the healthcare system. Both kids are fine and healthy now.
Singapore dr here...speedy recovery Morgan! And yes, although there are problems with any healthcare system, we think the US healthcare system with its astronomical charges and insurance providers making medical decisions on approved treatment instead of the dr, is quite ridiculous.
I'm a paramedic with 16 years of experience working on ambulances, and nearly all of the worst arterial bleeds I've seen have been caused by broken glass (limbs going through windows or glass coffee tables, etc.).
I fell through our front window, lacerated my inner left elbow it was horrible and painful healing, my arm was black and blue from my fingers to my shoulder.
Really happy Allison was off that day to support you and get the finger bandaged to keep it intact and free from infection while ya made your way to the hospital. What a wonderful woman. I hope the recovery is speedy and minimal discomfort for you! Stay safe friend!
Honestly, one of the coolest things about this video was you showing how professional and caring the hospital ER staff was and how kindly you interracted with them. Of my personal experiences with ER's, I've been pretty lucky. All I can recall is a couple broken bones. I've been to the ER for family far more times and that's always horrible. Not because the hospital staff have been bad, but just the feeling of dread over not being able to do anything for someone you love. An ER visit for myself is always a blessing. For a family member or a close friend, it's a nightmare.
I've heard people say they wish they could live their dogs life, but this is taking it too far, Morgan. lol! Anyway, keep that thing clean for sure! Feel better and speedy recovery. I think Abby would appreciate seeing you in your flashlight hat too.
You can get what I can only describe as finger condoms. They're used in this like watch repairs where you need to avoid getting oils on the watch, but wearing a full glove would be too bulky. The bags come with several in them, and they're quite cheap, so that might be a good option for covering your finger while keeping your hand free.
Canadian here. Now I say that our healthcare system is not the best, but born with the genetic of 2 different autoimmune diseases, and with the amount of trips I've needed to take to the hospital, whether it's the emergency room or a doctor's office, I am thankful for the healthcare system that we have. I even had a baby 4 months ago, and my hospital bill was a total of $0. And they gave me the prescription and other medications I needed!
We need pharmacare here. And a real dental care. Not this wannabe Obamacare system that Singh and Trudeau dreamed up. Dental care and prescriptions should also be single payer.
I'm fully of the opinion that if I ever have a baby (which is not likely to happen), that it would be best for me to travel to Canada to actually give birth. Yes, it would still be expensive because I'm not Canadian so they will charge me (as I'm not paying for the healthcare through my taxes), but it would likely still be much cheaper than giving birth in the US. And there wouldn't be insane charges for things like... holding the baby after giving birth. But yeah, even the "best" healthcare system in the world could still use improvements. That's just the nature of large systems/services - there's always room for improvement.
I'm in medical industry as a revenue cyclist/medical biller. I deal with insurance costs 8,9 hours a day. Morgan's getting charged for everything you see done. Blue ace wrap included!! I would love to contribute to a pod episode on healthcare! I've got over 30,000 hours in my field
As a Canadian I understand your support of a national program. It’s not perfect here but sure beats the poor or socially ostracized left with no options. It also emphasizes that social programs definitely prevent reoccurring hospitalization. I have never paid for appointments, surgeries and hospital stays.
@@saraschneider6781Canadian here. We have triage so please spare us. My mom died of glioblastoma in Michigan in 2008. Not only had she been living with headaches for over a year because she couldn't afford to go to the doctor after she ended up in the hospital once she collapsed at home and died 5 weeks later, the bill was in excess of 250k and the hospital tried to put a lien on my parents house. Yeah, it's definitely a tough choice.
Thanks for sharing Morgan! Your hospital visit IS interesting! Frankly, you could find a way to make watching grass grow interesting! 😄 Also, how thoughtful and considerate you are of Allison's time! Blessings from NH
Let’s make the story cooler. Toby Dog, enraged by his late feeding time decided enough was enough. His fluffy rage launched at his former beloved master. The cows, sensing their treat giver was in trouble, broke through their fence. The pigs, sensing chaos, broke through their fencing and proceeded to eat everything onsite. The chickens hid in their coop. The cats stood above the fray amused. Finally, ending the chaos, Bruce the Goose jumps in sending cows and fluffy dogs flailing. Sensing the real reason for this incident, Bruce attacks Morgan biting his finger tip off! The chaos is over. But Bruce the Goose now has the taste for human flesh…to be continued…
I am so thankful that I am Canadian since I am now in Kidney failure and need Dialysis 3 times a week. I spend more than 15 hours at the hospital every week and can’t imagine what that would cost if I had to pay! Hope your finger is ok Morgan. I love watching your videos all the time. Thanks for sharing your life with us!!!
Whose the flashlight now?😉 But for real tho I'm so sorry this happened to you!! I'm glad Alison was home and able to take care of you.❤️ I haven't finished the video yet but I hope that you're taking it easy and recover quickly and completely. Sending support your way, Morgan! P.S As someone who has a chronic illness, I rarely, if ever, bring my SO with me to the hospital or clinics. I'm somehow more comfortable on my own and also - why make someone else wait forever with me in the hospital?😂 Nah. I can zone out just fine.🤓 *pets to doggos and cattos*
I don't have an SO, so I spent a week in the hospital last year with no one visiting or anyone to call except for my work boss, who was actively disinterested and pissed about me not being available for a shift. I rang another person only getting a neighbour to bring me some clothes and toiletries and to feed my cat, which was stupid embarrassing. When I had to go back into hospital the next month for a planned procedure, I was able to organise things a bit better, but they kept me in longer than just the over night stay because reasons, so it was a scramble. We have universal healthcare, so that wasn't the issue, but I was left not being able to work but I was expected to work at it's totally destroyed my income and disability income. I LOVE our healthcare system. It's worked very well when I gave birth to my child and how he needed extra help with his diagnosis. I don't like my specific situation that fucks me income-wise, because I was always fucked that way in this country.
@@TheAccidentalVikingoh, man. A week is a LONG TIME to be in the hospital. I’m sorry you experienced that . I’m glad your neighbor was there for you but I’m sorry you had to ask. Sending you so much love and hope that there’s no more weeklong hospital stays in your future.❤ *hugs*❤️
@@outoftheklosset You're the sweetest! Big hug back! I'm feeling better and the heart issue is mostly resolved now. Side effects from the medications are a drag, but heart failure isn't something to mess with. I was the youngest on the ward, at 54. The following month, I was in for an over night procedure, but ended up there for another 6 days while they sorted out my meds after they restarted my heart to fix the rhythm. I have this mysterious situation where I don't and never had high blood pressure, but have to take loads of medications that lower my blood pressure, so its a tricky balance. I lost my job, though. I should have started a TH-cam channel, like our hero here.
Agree! The instructions should tell the user to run hot water over the screw-off joint before attempting to unscrew the pieces if they have cooled to room temperature.
I'm so sorry, Morgan - that's a shock! You're probably shaken up - can you take it any easier for today? Thank heavens you have a nurse in the family!! What a godsend!
As a fellow coffee aficionado, my 2 favorite pourover makers are my chemex and a basic clear plastic hario v60. I opt for the v60 if I'm doing a single cup as imo I get a better tasting cup from it, and I'll use the big chemex if I want to make 2-3 cups at once. Both are super easy to clean, no disassembly required!
Im a Brit and i love our NHS. Im a chronic asthmatic, from seeing the dr (after my 3rd asthma attack which i recovered from in hospital) to referral to the respiratory consultant (bearing in mind they were swamped with covid patients at the time) took 3 weeks and daily phone calls from the dr to see how i was doing. Total cost for me £0. Yes i pay national insurance it goes straight out my wages i dont miss and id happily pay double because they're doing an amazing job. All drs, nurses those on the ground are doing an amazing job, can't thank them enough for keeping me alive 😊. Feel better Morgan stop trying to copy Abby 😂
Brit here too....I would love to know who is telling the folks in the US that we hate the NHS. There are problems with it, but I can't think of anyone I know who hates it.
Wishing you a speedy recovery Morgan! Canadian here - love our health care system. While Cdn health care from province to province may not be perfect…it truly has saved many a loved ones lives! Proofs in my pudding, as I’ve never lost my house or entire savings for any/all of our medical treatment(s). Cheers! 🇨🇦JustJo
I was in an accident where my middle left finger was a compound dislocation/fracture where I needed the ER. I had an x-ray, traction to pull bones back in place, & stitches in the operating room for a super sterile environment. The hospital billed me over $31,000. I was at the hospital approximately 6-7 hours and never admitted out of the ER department. Craziness!! Good luck on your recovery Morgan.
This is why I have a stainless steel old school percolator. It isn't IMMEDIATE, it takes about 7 minutes but it makes the BEST coffee☕️😊 Years ago I was opening a can of frozen lemonade and the opener stopped working halfway through- I pushed on the top (young and foolish) and the top sliced into my finger...to the bone. I saw the blood...lots of it..and said I think I need the ER..lol. They sewed the piece back on but it's a funny looking finger- no feeling in it. What an adventure, Morgan. I hope you have a perfect recovery! ❤ Alison is a gem😊
The story of your ankle getting speared was justification for a tetanus shot for sure! I was getting queasy as you were telling the story. So glad that you are OK with your finger.
I hope you reach out to this coffee maker and try to get them to settle with you for the cost of your bills. I'm still pretty early in the episode but I wish you a speedy recovery!
I'm so glad you have a wife who's a nurse to help you in times like this! Allison is a life saver! Also, if you're still looking for coffee maker recommendations, I can't recommend the Hario V60 enough! Specifically the v60-02 if you want to make more than one cup at a time. James Hoffman has a whole thing about it on his channel. And while it comes in metal, glass, and acrylic, everyone agress that the acrylic one is actually the best! (Which is ironic because normally you'd expect to get what you pay for). I use a V60-03 every day, and I love it! The only thing better is the Aeropress
Please! Please! Please, Morgan be careful. Thankfully, Allison was available to come to your aid quickly. You and Abby are now "on the mend! " May you have a successful outcome and heal quickly. You're a true pro when even in the hospital emergency room waiting for treatment that you carry on to do the podcast. Be well and take good care of yourself.
I worked ED for many years. The time frame it took for you is excellent. I also agree totally with your views on health care. I've been a nurse for 47years and hate having people make decisions on their health based on cost.
Here in Germany we say "Die meisten Unfälle passieren im Haushalt." means most accidents happen in the house (doing chores). Thank you for confirming that ancient rule 😉 I wish you a speedy recovery. 🙋 (...and get yourself enough gloves to keep the finger dry.)
You know what, Morgan? I'm proud of you for the injury not being a farm injury, but like a normal life of an average person injury XD I hope it'll heal fast!
I’m impressed by your wherewithal to bring your camera. I’d have forgotten in my adrenaline rush then regretting it while waiting at the hospital. I hope your bill isn’t too crazy. I went to the emergency room for severe stomache pain and it ended up being a large ovarian cyst burst. My insurance wouldn’t cover it because, according to them, I should have been able to self diagnose and take myself to the urgent care instead and it wasn’t an emergency. Got stuck with an 8k bill.
saw a documentary about the usa health care situation ~ yes i saw that even tho you may have a health care plan ~ they could deny your claim ~ also discussed a man who had 2 fingers lopped off & as he couldnt afford the whole shabang ~ he had to decide which finger he wanted treated ~ he could only afford one ~ it just seems so unfair & sad ~ ps im from canader canaduh & feel so lucky to not even have to think about money ~
Abby is going to wonder why you are not wearing a cone of shame. I am sure that the dogs, the cats and Allison are all going to comfort you. Hope your finger heals without issues.
Great video.....as always. You have such a fabulous story telling talent. You could probably make the most boring and uninteresting topic most enjoyable. Well done on this as well as your book. The sky is your limit. Love and light from Cape Town.
Your varied programming is just like life, one minute you’re making coffee and the next you’re at the hospital and giving some information about heath care. Thanks
As a doctor, I would really appreciate you sharing some details about the bill if you’re willing. We never know how much things cost, and we’re always feeling some begrudged guilt when ordering certain tests that are medically necessary (but could probably be skipped). Health care is a weird mixture of a right and a privilege. There is an eternal battle between doing everything necessary and having equitable distribution of services
Hey Doc, you can download the Medicare fee schedule to give you an idea. It's public knowledge just make sure to get your state and area correct. Rates vary by county. Also par and non par plus facility and professional rates.
Oh no im sorry Morgan. Hope it heals up quick. I've been diagnosed with (Unicentric castleman disease, hyaline vascular subtype) Usually this some type of castleman disease is regional, but mine is in multiple lymph nodes. Keep me in your prayers guys.
Glad you got all patched up ok. Hope it heals properly without any complications. You could always use a “flashlight” like Abby Dog! 😂 ❤ feel better soon!
You’re lucky Allison was home! Would have been worse dealing with if you were alone, as you know! Thank you for your videos, I really enjoy seeing them! ❤
Dont worry, as a cook ive lost a finger tip (mandolins are dangerous). Thank you for being honest. Accidents happen. I hope you have a swift recovery. this just jives with me having mandoin'ed off a finger tip before.
Glad your wife was there to help with your wound! And glad she was able to keep her head lol. My mom is a retired ICU nurse - a complete badass. If you were wounded, needing CPR, etc - you’d want her to be on the scene. But ONLY if you were a stranger. If a stranger needed medical help, she was without peer. She would snap into rescue mode and get stuff done. But if one of her kids needed medical aid - she’d dissolve into a panic. I guess she was imagining all the worst outcomes she’s seen during her career. Much love to all the nurses out there. You’re the best.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery. That said, you may want to pursue holding the manufacturer of this coffee pour over thingy accountable. Second one that’s broken and seems inherently unsafe. Food for thought.
Glad you're recovering. I also have a Coffee and baseball related emergency visit to the ER. Summer 1970, little league, ace pitcher of the league throws an inside fastball.. ok, so we're 11 years old, probably around 55 to 60 mph. I check my swing and the ball goes under my left arm and hits the outside of my right arm, just above the wrist. So I run to first, but have to be replaced as I'm turning green from the pain. I was the fastest runner in our league, and was replaced by the slowest runner on our team, who was then forced out at second base, i think that made the pain hurt even more, i would have stolen that base...One of our good friends made my mom promise to take me for an x-ray. But of course, mom takes me home to get me cleaned up first... we pass the field where my father is cultivating soy beans. Dad insists there is no way that it's broken. Mom refuses to not take me, as she had promised our friend she would. Mom was right. Clean break of the ulna bone. Ended my season as I had to wear a cast for 6 weeks. Oh.. the coffee connection to my injury. The ace pitcher's name was D. Coffee.
Another Canadian here who, along with all the others who have commented, is grateful to know that when I need medical care I don't have to think if I can afford it or not. I know we pay for it in our taxes but it is a blessing to know that when you walk into that ER you're not going to have to put your hand in your pocket. Everyone should have access to health care. In my opinion it is a human right.
Coffee pour over is my favourite by far. The safest ones are the Hario V60 coffee drippers with paper filters - you can get the top in either plastic (which to be fair I have because I am clumsy), you can get glass and ceramic versions. Ceramic might be your best bet, which you can get in a range of colours. The paper filters make for ease to throw the spent grounds on the compost heap. You can still use a glass jug as well to do more than 1 cup.
I live in Canada and have been very ill since January. I have had 6 x-rays, 3 ultrasounds, 5 family doctor appointments, and going into the hospital in November for more tests and a procedure. It cost me $0.00 for everything. I am 66.
Working on a farm around giant cows and constantly having wildlife around. dealing with tools and farm machines… a coffee maker wasn’t on the list of things i would have guessed would put you in a er
As a coffee lover myself, I would really recommend V60 pour over. It has simple constaction, is easy to clean, dishwasher safe with very common paper filters. Go for the plastic one, it is durable and it warm up quicker than ceramic one. Chemex looks really nice and nice to use, but it is harder do clean.
Cows charging him, giant farm equipment, but its the coffee maker that got him. I wish you a speedy recovery Morgan!

Yep. After breaking two french coffee beakers washing them, I bought an all metal one, lol.
I fell through our front window, lacerated my inner left elbow it was horrible and painful healing, my arm was black and blue from my fingers to my shoulder.
I could believe it. Glass is risky.
Really happy Allison was off that day to support you and get the finger bandaged to keep it intact and free from infection while ya made your way to the hospital. What a wonderful woman. I hope the recovery is speedy and minimal discomfort for you! Stay safe friend!
I think Abby dog is going to make you stay indoors the next few weeks.
Lets cone up that finger! 😂 Ore 2 flashlights........
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Maybe Abbey had been making Marrow Bone broth with his French pour over coffee maker .
I’m so sorry you were injured but so glad your wife was home to help you ♥️
You can get what I can only describe as finger condoms. They're used in this like watch repairs where you need to avoid getting oils on the watch, but wearing a full glove would be too bulky. The bags come with several in them, and they're quite cheap, so that might be a good option for covering your finger while keeping your hand free.
XS?
They’re called finger cots. From NH, Patricia 👵🏻 🤗
I use perforated silicone finger cots over bandages, and silicone toe separators to cushion under my toes so they can heal.
Wow. With all the dangers of working on a farm, a coffee maker knicked ya. You’re so strong Morgan! Your work is so creative. Recover quickly! ♥️
You and Abby dog will have heal together. Speedy recovery Morgan.
Now you ARE a real farmer. Once you've lost part of a finger, you're totally in the REAL FARMERS CLUB--even if it's from a boujee coffee maker! 😂
I wish you a good recovery Morgan!
Abby wants to know why you're not also a flashlight now. 🤣 I hope it heals cleanly with no more complication.
I live in the United States and my first baby cost $0.
We need pharmacare here. And a real dental care. Not this wannabe Obamacare system that Singh and Trudeau dreamed up. Dental care and prescriptions should also be single payer.
@@meljordan220 cool story.
Congratulations on the new baby!!! I live in the US so my 2nd baby was expensive! Luckily we had health insurance...
So thankful for our Canadian health insurance! Hope you heal quickly Morgan!
So very glad Allison was there for you! Sending healing thoughts and best wishes for a full and speedy recovery!!
That would be a good episode!
As a Canadian I understand your support of a national program. It’s not perfect here but sure beats the poor or socially ostracized left with no options. It also emphasizes that social programs definitely prevent reoccurring hospitalization. I have never paid for appointments, surgeries and hospital stays.
I would hate dying waiting for treatment though.
@@saraschneider6781huh? Who said anything about dying while waiting? Nonsense.
Still alive! No medical bills.
I like it! That is creative .
Makes sense. Toby being a trained attack dog and all.
@@urkiddingme6254 he just snapped. Too much "Mr. Nice Dog".
That was awesome! You should write a book too!
😂😂😂😂
The shocker don't need no ring finger 😉
Hoping for your speedy recovery, Morgan!
That wrought iron fence story makes me WINCE. Goodness! Wish you well with your finger.
Ooooof ouch Morgan! Make sure you let the manufacturer know, that sounds like an issue they should be aware of. Wishing your finger a speedy recovery!
Agree! The instructions should tell the user to run hot water over the screw-off joint before attempting to unscrew the pieces if they have cooled to room temperature.
Wishing you and Abby a fast and safe recovery❤❤❤❤❤
I'm so sorry, Morgan - that's a shock! You're probably shaken up - can you take it any easier for today? Thank heavens you have a nurse in the family!! What a godsend!
Get Better buddy, I wish you a quick recovery!
Morgan, you needed that!
You should wear a cone in solidarity with AbbyDog, since you've both got farm battle wounds going on now :)
I'm glad your all fixed up and all is well. Take care.
Of all the things that could injure you on the farm (heavy machinery, cows, dogs, coyotes, hunters, electric fence, etc, the coffee maker did it!
I use one, too and am very happy with it (hario v60)
Holy shit, I hope you recover quickly with no (or as minor as possible) complications!
Sh💩t isn't holy.
Totally agree with you on health care in the US. Single Payer is the way to go. BTW, I love my French press!
Will you also become a flashlight? You and Abby can pose together? 😂 Wish you both speedy recoveries
Cheers! 🇨🇦JustJo
I am so sorry you got hurt and hope for a speedy recovery
I was in an accident where my middle left finger was a compound dislocation/fracture where I needed the ER. I had an x-ray, traction to pull bones back in place, & stitches in the operating room for a super sterile environment. The hospital billed me over $31,000. I was at the hospital approximately 6-7 hours and never admitted out of the ER department. Craziness!! Good luck on your recovery Morgan.
This is why I have a stainless steel old school percolator. It isn't IMMEDIATE, it takes about 7 minutes but it makes the BEST coffee☕️😊
Years ago I was opening a can of frozen lemonade and the opener stopped working halfway through- I pushed on the top (young and foolish) and the top sliced into my finger...to the bone.
I recently spent time in an ER. Longest time spent in ER ever 10 hours. I’m glad you didn’t have to stay an obnoxiously long time. Again.
I hope you reach out to this coffee maker and try to get them to settle with you for the cost of your bills. I'm still pretty early in the episode but I wish you a speedy recovery!
Morgan, please take care and hope you have a speedy healing! 😲❤
Please don't delete. I don't have time to watch this video tonight. :( I wish you a fast recovery!
Please!
Wishing you a speedy recovery. You are such an empathetic guy.
Bless Your heart Morgan. I don't blame Allison for not going with you. She looked tired. 🙂
I'm proud of you for the injury not being a farm injury, but like a normal life of an average person injury XD
I hope it'll heal fast!
Got stuck with an 8k bill.
saw a documentary about the usa health care situation ~ yes i saw that even tho you may have a health care plan ~ they could deny your claim ~
also discussed a man who had 2 fingers lopped off & as he couldnt afford the whole shabang ~ he had to decide which finger he wanted treated ~ he could only afford one ~ it just seems so unfair & sad ~
ps im from canader canaduh & feel so lucky to not even have to think about money ~
After everything you gotta do in the farm life, this of all things gets you. Praying for your speedy recovery ❤️🩹
hope you heal quick!
Abby is going to wonder why you are not wearing a cone of shame. I am sure that the dogs, the cats and Allison are all going to comfort you. Hope your finger heals without issues.
Oh Morgan, prayers for healing!
I might try to make a follow up when I get it
Hey Doc, you can download the Medicare fee schedule to give you an idea. It's public knowledge just make sure to get your state and area correct. Rates vary by county. Also par and non par plus facility and professional rates.
Get well soon Morgan- from Conor at PondViewFarm
Oh no im sorry Morgan. Hope it heals up quick.

Heal fast. Glad, you got great care from Allison and the hospital. In and out in an hour or so is amazing.
Isn't your wife a nurse? At least you were in good hands at home already

Glad you got all patched up ok. Hope it heals properly without any complications. You could always use a “flashlight” like Abby Dog! 😂 ❤ feel better soon!
Oh … I’m so sorry this happened to you. I pray for a speedy recovery! 🙏
hope you have a good recovery also welcome to the farming club
You’re lucky Allison was home! Would have been worse dealing with if you were alone, as you know! Thank you for your videos,
I really enjoy seeing them! ❤
Dont worry, as a cook ive lost a finger tip (mandolins are dangerous). Thank you for being honest. Accidents happen. I hope you have a swift recovery. this just jives with me having mandoin'ed off a finger tip before.
Oof! Mandolins' scare me! The perils of kitchen life!
I too lost a finger tip to a mandolin lol. Thankfully it didn't warrant a hospital visit!
isnt a mandolin a musical instrument ? maybe try the recorder the next tyme ~
I was gonna say I feel like mandolins are a known danger but now I'm not so sure
Food for thought.
on the upside, you can now do some totes incognito stuff with your new ring finger seeing as your fingerprint will have changed.
I'm praying you heal quickly. I know Alison will be watching it closely.
Company has a poor design to their coffee maker.
He should complain to the manufacturer. They should pay his medical bill.
@@Londonworldresthighly depends on the instructions that came with it...
For real, he's had the glass break on _two_ of them. That should be a recall.
I live in Canada and have been very ill since January. I have had 6 x-rays, 3 ultrasounds, 5 family doctor appointments, and going into the hospital in November for more tests and a procedure. It cost me $0.00 for everything. I am 66.
Bro deleted his fingertip
You and Abby dog are now in the same boat, making sure stitches don't get infected.😊
Working on a farm around giant cows and constantly having wildlife around. dealing with tools and farm machines… a coffee maker wasn’t on the list of things i would have guessed would put you in a er

Same in Canada very grateful for the healthcare.
Don't delete. Authentic part of the story. Less considerations for youtube policies.
Thanks for addressing the healthcare system issues.
Second that! They are a good and easy coffee maker.
Glad you have an NP in your family.
(I am grateful for the NPs and RNs in my family every day)
