I felt so bad for Ratched and all her internalized homophobia, because Gwendolyn truly made her happy and really accepted her for who she was, and was unashamed about how much she loved her, but Ratched couldn't let herself accept her affection :(
Different times and lots of homophobes are cryptohomo actually. She was homophobic at the beginning, but then started to discover that she is lesbian herself and started to accept it, even if she was fighting it at the beginning. I like such plot, quite real, to be honest. Just pitty less people in reality accept who they are
she did in the end though. a happy ending despite all the difficulties of being lgbtq during those times
I doubt whether Ratched really loves Gwen as much Gwen loves her. Though she cured Gwen of her tumour and living happily still i have doubts Cause Ratched is truly wretched sometimes

It's nice to live in this day and age where you can be with someone who's the same or opposite sex and you're not crucified over it. You can be bisexual and not burned at the stake. At the tops, people are intolerant (which is unfortunate) but saying "biphobia", "transphobia". It's the same with "fatphobia", I'm not scared of fat people, I think promoting overweight is not body positivity, it's promoting an unhealthy lifestyle. I'm not fatphobic because of that. It is almost the same as people who don't accept bisexuality - they don't have a phobia, they're intolerant
