Other best gift ideas expats can give to locals: 1. Not learning the language. 2. Over promoting the country online so more people can overcrowd and make places become expensive tourist trap. 3. Gentrifying, which displaces mostly the most vulnerable and ethnic minorities, ethnic cleansing of neighborhoods basically. 4. Believing that contributing to colonial capitalism is "good for the economy". 5. Not paying taxes. Buying coffee and yoga classes is more than enough. 6. Believing the land is something you can "just land on" and not developing a relationship with the land and it's history.
@salimboudjema6018 You may be right in your perspective on many of your points but perhaps you have delivered them with a bit of a snarky attitude? 1. Yes, we agree, it's great when travelers can attempt to learn the language of the country of travel, but for many it's more than difficult as adults to learn a new language as well as impractical if visiting for only a week or 2, or a month or 2 (for ex). 2. That is not what is being done in this video, the purpose of this video is to assist the traveler in being more comfortable with items they carry while moving around the planet. 3. Again, whether we agree or disagree with you, the gentrification is happening everywhere we go and not the topic we are intending for this video. 4. Reaching pretty deep here again with the ethnic cleansing ....wow this is a shopping video meant to help travelers or friends and family of travelers help them travel more comfortably! 5. Most travellers are not permanently becoming part of the citizen base, as in they are "just visiting" and therefore not allowed to work therefore it would not owe any taxes. Or they are self sustaining, having earned or are earning money from their home countries that allows them to travel freely. 6. Whether we agree (which we do) or don't with you, we all have different goals and purposes in life. We are not all gardeners, we are not all composters. Though all six of your points are thought-provoking they're not really the focus of and scope of a shopping video, but we're glad you took a moment to write down your views on things and we're glad you took a moment to watch (hopefully) our video! Take good care! 😊
@salimboudjema6018 You totaly missed the point, buddy.... Clearly you don't know them, and while these points are important to bring up: this channel isn't about just taking and taking and not caring....
@FocusedFighter777 thanks for seeing that too and saying something. You ROCK! They may be valid points, that could be made stronger if the sarcasm was removed, buuuut in the comments of a pertaining video!! Lol Some people are funny. 🤷♀️🤷🏻♂️
@@PlanFree No problem. I see these topics in a lot of videos pertaining to mexico. They are valid, it's a sad reality. But we foreigners aren't all shallow and/or hearthless, and it was delivered as if it was really targeted at you guys personally (while clearly not knowing what you guys are about: and on a video about gifts...)
@FocusedFighter777 yes! We were sorry to read it. We cried. But when we wiped our tears, we realized he just seemed to need a place to vent. 😌 😉 Always happy to have you watchin our backs!
A couple of items I hadn't thought of before, thanks! I do use often that selfie stick that you previously recommended to me.
Hi Alan! Thank you for watching and you're welcome! Yeah...love those selfie sticks/tripods!
Thought that was a punching bag for when you have too much drama.
Well hey... traveling can be stressful right!?
Is a travel punching bag an essential travel item for you??
Lol
