yeah but sometimes you shouldn't do that. If my coach saw me do that in select baseball, I would be benched for the rest of the game. If the other pitcher is crying then that is their problem, not something we need to take care of.

This is the core of sports. It’s the reason why parents and coaches put their kids in sports. It teaches you to be a better human in every way. It allows children to experience advanced human (com)passion, well before they are adults.

These people these players are so sweet and they have such good sports man ship, and it take a lot to go up to a person/ other team and be like “I’m fine” “ you don’t need to worry about me you playing a great game” what happened was scary and looked like it hurt really bad but in the end turned out to be one of the sweetest things that I have ever saw in my life❤❤❤

Just a small reason why I have been watching since 1963 when I started in LL. This is the best it gets, and it takes children to remind us of what it's all about. Bravo.

It doesn't hurt at all. the only thing that got me for about 60 seconds was taking a foul tipped fastball to the Adams apple while playing catcher. I couldn't breathe for about 60 seconds, but then I was ok and back in the game catching. Major leagues is different because of the velocity and bite, but only velocities of 90+ mph is going to really cause damage and hard to react to.

That really scared that young man. I've been where he was standing. Double header on a Saturday Bottom of the 7th 1 out 2 on 2nd game babe Ruth league. We won the 1st game 9-3. Coach brought me in...our 1st pitcher got too tired and It was really hot that day. He pitched 16 innings. I came in as clean up pitcher. I had been behind the plate most of the day catching. 1st guy up I cracked in right in the head with a 72 mph fastball. It scared the bajesus out of me. I knelt down praying he was ok. When he got up I ran over to apologize to him and he said to me. That's baseball. I'm tough. Oh I was so relieved. He took his base and took it all the way in and scored a run. But we did win that game as well. Needless to say we beat them pretty bad that day. 14-2. Our team was the best in the league we only lost 1 game that season. Our record was 15 wins and 1 loss. I loved baseball. Now that I'm old, I see other young men playing and I think back to my days of playing.
