@@AutumnOnFire Worked only for a short time, then the line was back. I invested in a new front screen (huge switch operation) and the red line was gone for 1 1/2 years but is now unfortunately back again! Apparently not (only) to do with the screen.
Last step :sell the phone before it breaks down again!

For those who want to try this, let me give you some tips
I tried cardboard but didnt work instead I used plastic from batteries.
I did it at least 10 times like 3 hours trying different positions till the line dissapeared completely
- what worked for me was 3 pieces of plastic (2 on the extreme right and one on the extreme left of the space). Also it has to be quite deep inside lol.
I had a really fat pink line and now is completely gone.

This worked for me, well the line is 99% gone... i used a piece of plastic from a 'Pukka Pad project book' which was perfect thickness. Its been 48hours so far so good. Thanks!

Okay, so here's what happened after I tried this.
after I inserted a piece of cardboard into the gap it worked for the most part, however there was still a blemish of orange when a white screen was displayed (though it wouldn't show in black so it'd make your always on display look great again!) but determined to get rid of it 100% I decided to stuff more cardboard, after we did that we ran into an issue... the extra cardboard short circuited the OLED panel and created a vertical line of pixels into a new PERMANENT white line on the very right side of the edge. After we attempted to fix the white line (which we learned was permanent) we went to move the cardboard to "fix" the white line with the noose needle tweezers, it only caused the line to come back, this time when we tried to stuff more cardboard, we couldn't get rid of the purple because there is so much cardboard that you could't move it/remove since it's jamed into the gap...
RESULT:
Now not only do I have the purple lines, but now I have a permanent white line too...
Now I have no water resistance...
Best advice, if you can get rid of the purple line when your always on display is active but still has a orange/yellowish coloured line, just stop right there and close her back up.

GUYS WITH THIS "HOMEMADE FIX" YOU ARE PUSHING THE LCD FLEX CABLE MORE TO THE AMOLED SCREEN AND YOU CAN CRACK IT. THERE IS NO FIX BECAUSE THIS IS DUE TO MOTHERBOARD OVERHEAT.THE ONLY FIX IS TO REPLACE THE SCREEN BUT IN A FEW MONTHS IT WILL HAVE THOSE PINK OR GREEN LINES AGAIN

Bought a 55 dollar lcd with frame off ebay to replace broken screen on s7 edge. The replacement lcd had the pink line and that's why I got it so cheap. Used this method to fix line and now no problems and I have my s7 back looking like new.i even changed colors and ordered a new back cover to match.

Update on phone. I had to wait for about a week to actually start using my phone due to a broken antenna wire. After receiving the replacement wire is began using the device on a daily basis. After a day or so the screen redeveloped the pink line but considerably lighter in color and vibrance. I gently pushed on the top of the screen and the pink line would disappear but eventually would return. After continued use, the line has slowly went away and is no longer an issue. The fix does work, I just did not get my piece pushed up far enough. I will be disassembling it again and redo the fix.

@@minotauruskt no, it came back. Works for a while but that is it. Not really worth the trouble. I eventually ordered a replacement screen from ebay. I found one that had a black spot on it and was able to buy it for 60 bucks usd.

Hehe. I bought a 2nd-hand S7 Edge with Pink Line issue for just Rs. 14,000/- PKR (which is equivalent to Rs. 7,729/- INR or $113 USD). One of the best deals I ever made. Absolutely satisfied with it. The pink line doesn't even bother me anymore. I'm not gonna use this pink line fix as it will kill the water-proofing, but maybe when I'm about to sell it, I'll do that & sell it for double the price. Hehehehe! :D
This is a temporary solution the line comes back after few days...Permanent solution is screen replacement only

That sound "kuttak" is the sound of something separating or breaking, unless you know exactly what that is doing. Putting a spacer there increases the pressure which reduces or gets rid of the line completely. Eventually, that pressure won't be enough.
This not the permanent solution actually. It will temporary solve the issue

I just completed this entire procedure, go slow! Don't use a guitar pic, use a playing card. I used a heat gun, but I think I should have used a blow-dryer. Write down the number of screws, the order of the disconnections and removal of the components. Go slow! The one thing no one tells you about is putting on the back cover again. The gasket is very fragile around the corners and will twist, I had to cut the bottom 2 corners out. I used a children's glue stick and applied glue into the gasket Grove. Then I gave it a once over with the heat gun to reactivate the glue on the gasket. Then I used clothes pegs all around the screen. Then let it sit still for a few hours. I'm glad I did it because I don't want a new contract or phone right now, but I couldn't live with that pinkish line! Go slow!!!!

its not the issue with the display..I think its issue with the cables or connecting pins. As a brand new 3rd party screen also got the same issue on the 3rd day of use.

i tried your method and screen got dead. the reason i could identify is that pushing some plastic piece to the back of screen causes damage to the display. If anyone wants to try it, please be very careful not to push the paper or plastic piece too much to hear the sound of KRIK.
Don't do it. You well lose your water resistance and including may crack the back display if not took it out correctly. Just trade in your phone for a new S7 Edge (or +) or switch to the S9
U only push on the phone all time with that paper but not really fix it
