A scorching summers afternoon at Reading station, in the midst of a heatwave seeing temperatures soar up to 27°C. There was actually a fair bit of disruption across the rail network due to the high track temperatures in places resulting in speed restrictions in places.
Includes: GWR Trubos, 387's, IET's, TFL Class 345's, Freightliner Class 59, 66's, Cross Country Voyagers & South Western Railway Class 450's
After just under an hour in the roasting temperatures I decided to leave Reading and jump on an Electrostar just to sit in an air conditioned carriage for a while.
