Exploring the Abandoned Mines of Wheal Coates, UK (2024)

- Wheal Coates is a collection of tin mines sitting at the top of the north Cornwall cliffs between St Agnes and Porthtowan.
Opening in 1802, the mines followed seams of tin ore just under the sea bed. At it's most active, Wheal Coates employed 140 people. The mine finally closed with the onset of World War 1 in 1914.

@@StuFliesAroundCornwall lol, easy done, hubby les me fly as much as I want, but when away with friends you have to curb the time so others arent waiting around, was difficult on Skye and Lewis and Harris, glorious weather than landscape, bt time was short...
