Australia undid all of that over the last 2.5 yrs. We all saw the footage of Australians being beaten like dogs because they didn’t put a mask on. We all saw Australians being put into camps because they were unvaccinated. I’m not sure you understand how that’s totally changed the perception of Australia. Just like Canada declaring Marshall law because truckers peacefully protested against vaccine mandates. Both countries are permanently damaged. Not sure you realize how many Australians are moving to Nicaragua. Nicaragua! Why? Because Nicaragua never forced vaccinations, never locked down. There world has permanently changed.

@RasgullaThe BRICS countries are definitely the ones to align with for growth opportunities. But I don't want to live in the middle of potential geopolitical conflict, so China and Russia are not really options (though I do have a 10 year China visa). India is not really interesting to live in for me. Also, China is not a place you want to live right now. They're trending up economically, but really down for social freedom. I just wanna live the rest of my life in peace before the Earth goes full on 1984. So I'll likely choose poorer countries off the radar of the big countries. How about you, what's your plan?

Must admit my time frame is 10-25 years when planning ahead think I would need the services of Elon Musk's NeruLink company in 50 years to still be functioning :-) Hmm might be worth investing in that.

The 4 year time horizon is a side effect of democracy/universal franchise, but most people who criticize this short-sightedness have no alternative and are just as sycophantic in their support of democracy as anyone else. Also being multicultural is what ruined California. That shouldn't give you confidence for much of the developing world. Putnam's findings don't stop at the West. The market you play to is interesting. Move to the place where you are able to receive the greatest benefit whilst contributing as little as possible to the country you live in.
