I love the ending when Steve brought the Dynamics down and suddenly you could feel you transitioned from a rock arena seamlessly to a smoky nightclub in 1959 that was really cool! Great sounding drums and really nice symbols too!
I had an 1980 birch kit with updated tom arms. At that time people were going for deeper toms. I think those shallower toms were more versatile you could get the deep and high sound from them. Good work.
Yep, that's also a 70's era Bun E right there! This is the sort of kit which sadly led to the demise of the US drum makers. Interesting to see the "adaption" of the Rogers type tom arms.

Yeah, he did that nice transition to a 1959 Shelly Manne type feel.
Gorgeous 70s Mustachette Maple....I love it!!
toms sound great, beefy!
Brother, I always love watching your videos. Thanks for making them!
You always dress great too, for a drummer.

I’d love this kit as it represents a better quality version of my first kit, a 5 piece Cortley.
Has anyone ever seen Steve Jr. And bun E Carlos in the same place at the same time?
They should dress up as each other for Halloween.
😎👍💓🥁🔊🎼Steve Jr!!!
Many of the guys moving to Pearl in the 70s was due to Pro Drum Shop in Hollywood.

Nice vintage sounding toms.
The snare, unfortunately, sounds a bit lifeless and not as good as today’s model..
