I like the watch. But I agree with a lot of these comments. Casio needs to make some updates. I want to see Biking added to profiles. I also want to the notification feature to be updated. I currently can’t get text messages or email notifications from my iPhone. But I’m getting everything else like news, calls in and out going… Casio please send out software updates.
Honestly the gamin instinct crushes what this watch is trying to do minus the square style but has the round g styling i was looking to replace the instinct with this and it cant even come close, i do like the watch but it will sit in my drawer for until the weekend and the garmin will remain my workhorse daily watch also throw in a gba 800 that i liked the styling and combo of analog digital the garmin instinct crossover is one I've been eyeing that may interest me in the future, cheers great review
@GPDF the screen is great on both, the instinct has so much more for customizable options you can set up what you want to see, the dwh5600 is a fantastic display but the functionality holds it back from being my daily, although I use it for sleep tracking
I cant believe Casio released this watch lisitng all modes of sports while it doesnt even have the basic biking mode ..you have to record it as running or something. launching fitness trackers on this thing takes a day... connectivity issues with this smartwatch is terrible.I have returned two of them already back to my regular GShocks I really doubt if casio is ready for smartch watches.

They made the bezel shroud removable for easier access to the buttons when you need it. I don't understand why you would need to cut up the shroud for that. Casio isn't known for their smart watches. A company like Garmin has been making GPS systems for cars for years now. It makes sense that they would have an far more advanced product. Having said that, I've been collecting G Shocks for years and I'm not interested in this one. I'm not a fan of smart watches to begin with and they clearly tried to appeal to the G Shock collector while catering to the fitness watch crowd at the same time. They ended up disappointing both sides from what I've seen so far. Too much fitness tracker for one group and not enough for another.

Great video! I have the gbdh2000 but I definitely want to try this as well. I'm not much of a workout guy but I do enjoy these even though there's way better watches for the money
That's a nice watch. The MIP panels are really nice. I had a Rangeman GPR-B1000 and I loved the display but the watch was a bit too big for my wrist. I recently picked up a GBD 200 and I'm very happy with it. Thank goodness we have the internet so we can learn more about these products before buying.
I wish someone would show the app to this watch... does it even exist? My Fitbit is slowly reaching the end of its life... and this concept of a nice modern watch, retro look and an actual fitness tracker... is just rad. But the way the app is hidden everywhere - on the website, in stores and every youtube review... makes me worried.
Is there any way to turn off the Bluetooth on the watch without unpairing it with the phone? If the bluetooth on my phone is off, the bluetooth indicator of the watch is non-stop blinking and I want to somehow turn it off without completely unpairing it with the phone, because the whole pairing process is too slow and long. I just want to be able to connect it with my phone when I decide fast and simple, but don't like the permanent bluetooth searching
Absolutely clueless, buys a G-Shock and then totally trashes it ??? I would have just sent it back and got either a GBX100 or GBD200 or BOTH for LESS than that mess of a G-Shock.
Well. I collect watches. I was going to get the big bother of this. But I liked the size. But like I said. I make the watch work hard. But in the end this is not a fully finished piece of equipment for what it was made.
For a hefty price, and with no back button, that’s a horrible mistake by Casio. The biggest downside. Who gives a shit about using an app with watches? The watch should’ve been designed to be standalone operational.
Try pouring concrete and dash it against walls and tools at a construction site. Use that drill machine, and let's what will happen to your Garmin 😂 You miss the point. This is just an updated version of your tough Gshock. This was not meant to compete with your exercise watch.

Yes it has tou don't have to push the button on the watch. The Bluetooth update still the same pain

The issue. They have once they smashed the POLAR name on top. That's where casio failed.

The application is about 4 years behind. It mimics the POLAR APP but. They stripped some of the functions.
