    Wow!! I can tell you're not an amateur at this. I once ordered yam mini sets from the University of Ibadan (leading researchers in the field). I was mind blown how much work they have put into the studies. Unfortunately, US customs siezed my yams mini sets 😂
    Thank you so much for sharing such amazing knowledge. I'll be getting down to growung my yams now.

    I didn't know that different parts of the yam grow at different rates. Nature is extraordinary ✨️

      Indeed it is. At times gardeners just plant the top part of each yam for a quick harvest.

    Can I still eat the yam after it starts sprouting? The vine is now about 2 feet long.

    • @LiliansGardens
      @LiliansGardens  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes just cut off about and peel. If it's still white/yellowish inside it's safe to eat.

    This yam setts of matches box size can't really produce bigger tuber. You have to increase the yam seeds or setts if you want bigger tuber.

      Oh yes that's exactly the topic of this video. I'm trying to grow yam seedlings. These sets are the perfect size for that. In fact I have successfully harvested my yam seedling four days ago. I'll post video in a few days.
