lmao welcome to me three years ago. You should totally see the choreo for this and Good Night, it's bonkers. The girls all voted that Chase Me was their hardest choreography. Okay. So. This is the Nightmare Series, where Dreamcatcher started. Chase Me leads directly into Good Night (that creepy music outro with the pillow fight? that's the intro into Good Night, so watch that next). I'll put more about my personal theories/what I know about this particular storyline down below the spoiler line. SPOILERS AHEAD YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED So the girls in this storyline are dead. (You can see their dance outfits (even though its a Japanese custom, since Dreamcatcher takes a lot of influence from J-rock, I figure it's fair game) the right is over left, which could indicate that they're dead. There's also all of the macabre artwork all over the walls, reminiscent of medieval European artwork during the Black Death in the mid 1300s. Lots of skulls and the impending mortality of everyone. The guy is a Nightmare Hunter coming to investigate the place the girls haunt, and for some reason he's focused on Gahyeon (you can see he circles her face in the photo) possible relation? We don't know. Each of the girls is the embodiment of a particular nightmare, which are shown in this MV. Jiu - nightmare: being chased - She 'chases' the guy down the hallway when he apparently fell on his butt (the flashback footage) Sua - nightmare: unable to move/sleep paralysis - She's seated perfectly still in the rocking chair and holding the watch over the guy's head. She 'moves' with Siyeon down the hallway, but only when the lights are out, kind of like the Doctor Who angels, but when the lights come back on, she's completely still. Siyeon - nightmare: being trapped in a small space - She traps the guy in his room and he can't get out. Handong - nightmare: being watched - She watches the guy through the peep hole & from the window, and suddenly is 'watching' the viewer in that scene where she's on the table and the light is spinning around Yoohyeon - nghtmare: being lost - She changes the room numbers all to 808, confusing the guy and making him lost, as all of the doors apparently lock. Dami - nightmare: being hurt - She's the one being 'sacrificed', but she is also the one that rips the teddy bear's eyes off, which 'removes' the guy's eyes in that scene. You don't see her in the 'old' clothes, only in the dance outfits, but you can see briefly that she's actually got an 'old' outfit, but she doesn't appear in it. Gahyeon - nightmare: falling from high places - She pushes the books off a high shelf. You see her nightmare better in Good Night where she's actually "falling"
Typically for these elaborate K-pop videos they are filmed over a period of several very long days in a row. it isn't uncommon for K-pop acts to be on set for 48 to 72 hours straight filming a music video. The members will sometimes nap off and on when they aren't filming a scene where they need the whole group, but since the shooting schedule is so tight, they usually don't get much more than a few hours sleep while the shoot is underway.

I’m pretty sure pats of the MV were inspired by The Shining (by Stephen King). A hotel corridor, two girls in the corridor side by side, the room number. Especially the part where the lad carries an axe, reminiscent of the ‘Here’s Johnny!’ scene. The movie has a lot of tension (it’s psychological horror), quite creepy, so I don’t recommend you watch it since you don’t like messing with horror stuff xD

Their first 6 title tracks / MV's literally tell a dark story about a group of girls who were turned into Nightmares by a spider demon (or maybe a witch or something, the details are sketchy). Your next Dreamcatcher reaction has to be Good Night which is a direct continuation of this video. If you like the rapper, you HAVE to react to their cover of BigBang's song Bang Bang Bang.
