I saw from notification your reply to my question on "app using TH-cam API and other APIs" but I don't see the actual reply from my post. Can you give me the link to talk to your success manager?
We may do this but how can we ensure that our idea is not stolen? Even with working with (not to discredit you or your organization) you, for example. I'll be getting that book though
There’s always a risk of infringement, and in many ways, it can actually be a good thing. For one, it tells a story that your invention has a market and demand - you may very well make a business partner out of an infringer.
No, unfortunately you can't patent something that is already available out in the public domain, and especially if you aren't the original creator. Now they may issue you a provisional, and even a full patent if you take it that far, but all it takes is one person to submit data to the patent office about the other app existing before yours, even without a patent, then you will lose your patent rights and the money you spent on it.
No you do not! In fact, the software code is not patent protectable, copyright law is better suited. Patent protection will protect the functionality that the software app provides - which is a lot broader, because it could be coded a million different ways, but still be your process/method.
Yes, it is legal, but it is not something our firm does. It is often called "Taking equity in your client's business" in exchange for legal fees. To me, it muddies the waters and crosses the line. I want to always be transparent and unbiased in offering legal opinions, not thinking or worrying about how/when I'm going to get paid.
I have a idea for a app I've bounced it off a couple of people no one official yet but all they said it was a great idea and that it could work but unfortunately I do not have money to even patent let alone make it into a actually app and do not wanna take the risk for someone else to take such as a bigger company
You don't have to develop the app before seeking patent protection. All you have to do is describe its major functions in detail. If you'd like to see if you have enough to move forward, schedule a free 15 min screening session here: calendly.com/business-consultations/am06-youtube
No, you do not need to create the software to protect it! However, you must be able to describe (and show through flowcharts or GUIs as needed) what the software does from a process/method perspective. Step by step and function by function.
I need help, I'm scared big game companies will get mad at my app because we'll I don't want to share my app idea, but I'll give hint : Java robot class... is there anything I can do to see what app is legal
Same thing I want to make an web/application but it’s in a market which is very competitive and is dominated by 2 or 3 main players I’m scared once they acknowledge my company they will realise the idea and do it quicker better and more efficiently and my main concern is that my patent won’t mean anything as they are big multi million dollar organisations who can get Big lawyers to take my patent apart and wipe their butts with it and steal my idea and hard work, is this possible or how can I protect my self please anyone with knowledge on this matter reply

If those preexisting technologies have never been combined before (novelty), and there are no publications or teachings in the field of art that would deem that combination obvious (nonobvious), then yes, it is patentable.
@@boldpatents would you mind shedding some light on deeming the combination obvious (nonobvious)? For example my idea, combines preexisting technologies, and its usp establishes new norms on this app category. thank you for your reply!

@@boldpatents Hello. Does the idea for an app have to be an actual app demo, or can it be something described in a powerpoint presentation and/or illustrated on paper? Then the patented concept can be sold.
Thanks for your question Tiffany. It does depend on complexity. Generally, $5K-$20K gets the process started with a patentability opinion and patent application. Then another $5-15K during prosecution. Book a free advising session to learn more about the process on our website: www.boldip.com

Thanks for the video. I didn’t think you could patent an app because I didn’t think a business idea was patentable.
If you invent a method or process that has a tangible technology improvement, it is patentable.

Well if they infringe you could bring on a lawsuit against them.
