Ironing my clothes and watching all these Ozzy albums, what a box set. Only Ozzy vinyl I ever had was Diary of A Madman which is odd as I did not even own any a Black Sabbath album. I did enjoy that album and his first one. Very elaborate box set. You got a lot of listening ahead of you. Enjoy your week Melinda. I got the creases just right on my dress shirt so I’m starting my day off right.
Hi from Scotland, Melinda. I also have this box set and the 2nd LP of No More Tears in mine (No. 2132) had Side C labels on both sides. I won’t be returning mine for the same reasons as you. To honest, now that I’ve seen you video I think it’s probably very common! I love your videos and we share a lot of the same taste. Keep up the good work !!!
That sticker issue makes it very unique, unless of course they screwed up the same way on every record pressed in that run. I have a copy of Born Again by Sabbath that is first run with the same issue. Love it. Do a little research into it. You MIGHT have a serious one of a kind. Love the videos. Keep rocking!
@@MelindaMurphy You're very welcome. I've been collecting records since I was about 8 years old. I was interested in that box set because I wondered if it would have the Blizzard Of Ozz record with the original back cover photo. I was lucky enough to be given one by my friend, signed by Ozzy, and I love that pressing with the other photo on it. Super cool shot of the band standing in the studio.
When you said you had "a problem" with this boxed set, I'd assumed it was going to be that one of the records was badly warped or disfigured or with split seams or something like that. So I was surprised when you explained that it was a 'wrong label'' issue. For me, this would not be a problem at all, in fact it would be quite desirable in some ways - mispressing oddities are interesting. If it was me, I'd want to keep it 'cos it might be especially rare one day!
I think that is the most elaborate box set I've ever seen. Great addition to your collection. Regarding duplicate label issue, I think the record company should send you a replacement LP and let you keep the original. In any case I would not be too upset with the label error. Perhaps it makes your set unique and even more valuable.
I ordered mine from the Ozzy web site, really like the few I have listened to. Now I need to find a complete Black Sabbath box set to go along with it.
I like Ultimate Sin too Melinda, one of my favorites by Ozzy. Love your collection and your videos, you are very beautiful and cool! Liked and subscribed!
Just finished watching to the end, personally i wouldn't worry about the mistake label, I've been collecting records alot of years and it def happens. Sometimes the mistake labels can actually make the record worth more since it is a rarity.
I can understand your frustration Melinda and I would prefer a perfect item particularly considering the price. Saying that you could argue the miss print actually makes your box set unique to you. No other issue has that exact quirky characteristic and you have not lost anything musically so perhaps I would keep it as an oddity. Hope this helps.
Ozzmosis is my favorite. I’m 44 years old and have been listening to Ozzy since I was 9 years old. Ozzy has always been my favorite through out the years. Your awesome for this video. Keep up the good work \m/
I only listen to Ozzy when he was with BS and never really followed his solo stuff but this box set looks like a set that I would invest into. Nice video and thanks for your time and your hard work each week. Take care
Awesome box set! I would keep pressing for the people to send a replacement, and hold onto the current one you have. The misprint Label may actually make the record much more valuable down the road. Looks really cool, congrats!
Hi Melinda. This has been my favorite video so far since I mentioned the Ozzy Box Set last time I commented. My box set #02023, also has the same label error on No More Tears. This mistake was probably done on some if not all of the copies. The signature is slightly different on mine which shows the last name signed directly underneath his first and not going across like yours. I hope our fears of this not being his actual signature are unfounded. Aside from that, I enjoy listening to all the records. No Rest For The Wicked has Zakk Wylde's first appearance with Ozzy on a studio release. The song Crazy Babies is one of my all-time favorite Ozzy songs on that album and I remember hearing that on regular radio rotation in early 1989. Listen to that song when you get a chance and you will recognize Zakk's distinct guitar style like in No More Tears. Thank you for posting this video!
Awesome box set. I love all Ozzy's albums but there are so many other records I wanted more so I didn't get it. Don't think the error would bother me but you are doing the best method of getting it repaired. Not sure if they trust you enough either. I have an og of "No More Tears" I love it. And I love your videos Melinda. You rock 🎸. Bill
Thank you. I sent them a video of me flipping the record back and forth so they could see the problem was legit. It's good to hear from someone that sells records that the mistake isn't a big deal. If they would send me a corrected copy first, I will exchange mine out but otherwise, I'm not going to worry about it. Thank you for your input and for your encouragement. Take care.
Nothing to worry about. Put a red dot in the dead wax with a sharpie so you can distinguish the two sides or just read the deadwax. You can remove it with lighter fluid later if needed. Could be a collectable. The set itself is fairly priced considering the amount of vinyl and an autograph to boot. Mine had a warped disc which I sent back and they replaced, but that was before they were trying to dismantle the postal sevice. My one complaint was the non inclusion of Speak of the Devil. Take care and good luck with your dilemma.
Hi Melinda, sorry to hear about the label issue on one of the records from the box set.most people seem to think it will be more desirable having a misprint and worth more too.if they don't send a replacement to you (which I hope they do), and if it still bugs you, have you considered maybe buying another box set while still available and re selling your one probably for a lot more than you paid for it as they are selling on other sites for more than the original price.just a thought.great video
Best use of birthday money this side of buying 1977 Topps Baseball cards and Sgt Rock comics. That’s a beautiful box set. My advice? If the cons out weigh the pros? Seek remediation. Great video, Melinda. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Melinda. I love your channel! When I was a teenager I bought a Samhain "Initium" record that I thought was defective because it had what looked liked white streaks in the black vinyl. It played perfectly fine, but looked like something was wrong with the press. That was 1984. Fast forward to 2004. I'm on Ebay and see a similar record being sold as a rare "white streak" Initium copy for $1,000. I pulled out my old record and there it was! That was the day I started selling records on Ebay. Keep your rare copy of the Ozzy, I wish I hadn't sold my Samhain.
You got it!! Awesome!! I went back and checked my copy of "No More Tears" and my label is correct, but I hate that yours got mislabeled. Does the track listing on the sleeve of "The Ultimate Sin" match the actual track listing on your labels? Mine is completely out of order. Minor error, but strange. Now I need to go listen to some Ozzy! Oh and thank you for the shout-out, Melinda! You're too kind. Take care!
I will let you know about "The Ultimate Sin" when I get a chance to look. Thank you for your video. It really did help me decide to buy it. Ozzy owes you a thank you. 😀
Hey Melinda.....you must have had one heck of a garage sale and/or very generous family & friends for your birthday lol. I just checked the price on the set...hooley Dooley! Lol. I’ve only ever been a casual Ozzy fan, I checked out after No More Tears. Ultimate Sin is my fave Ozzy album, which I’ve been told on several occasions, is a sacrilegious opinion to have lol. If I was going to get amongst the Ozzy stuff, I think I’d save the money and go for the set, best way to go. And, even as disappointing as it is, I’m not sure if I’d tempt fate and send No More Tears for replacement... Have a great week! x PS - I bet the set weighs a ton!
It was very expensive. My dad passed away last March and I sold alot of his tools at the sale. The tools really helped me raise the money. I love the box set and there is alot of vinyl in the set. Thank you!
Melinda Murphy Sorry for your loss, Melinda. I lost my mother a few Xmas’ ago. Never gets easier does it. Still plenty of music I can’t go near, because i makes me sad. Cheers x
Hey Melinda!!! You did it congrats on the box set. I owned the OG Dutch pressing of Ozzmosis which goes for stupid money around $400 and an OG Korean pressing of No More Tears which goes for $200..... I was going to pull the trigger on this box set, but changed my mind since the only that I’m missing is Live and Loud and I didn’t think it was worth it. My favorite Ozzy albums are Bark at the Moon, Ozzmosis and No Rest for the Wicked in the order. Cheers rock n roll rebel JC/Miami
It is so cool that you have an OG Ozzmosis. I was really wanting that one and for the money, buying the box set instead made sense. Live and Loud is great. Hopefully, there will be a reissue sold separately. Take care.
My favourites are Blizzard, Diary, Talk of the Devil, Bark at the Moon I absolutely love Ultimate Sin and No Rest for Wicked is cool too, love your channel it's a bright light in dark times keep up the good work
Thank you so much Gary. I think my favorites are Blizzard, Diary, No More Tears and Ozzmosis. He didn't make a bad album. I just like certain ones a little better than others. Take care.
Hi Melissa another fantastic video I watch the whole commentary on the Ozzy Osbourne box that it is a very beautiful box set and the issue you had with no more tears is very minor like you said if you are receiving slow service and replies from their customer service chances are when you return the record it’ll probably take forever and even perhaps that record being in jeopardy of damage I really wouldn’t worry about it you got a great box set In really great condition the autograph I think on the box it’s a real yes I’ve heard about the CD covers and those are really understandably plated print probably because Ozzie doesn’t wanna sign a bunch of CDs anyway you got yourself a really nice package. Very cool looking shirt you look great in the KISS shirt take care
Thank you so much for your kind words. What you are saying is great advice. I would rather keep this album then take a chance on sending this one back and never receiving a replacement. This is a very special set and other than this one problem, I am happy with it. Take care.
Hey there Melinda....loved seeing the Box set and all the different coloured vinyl. I kinda wish I had have pulled the trigger earlier and bought one myself considering what I'm seeing them go for on-line now WOW! Anyway I kinda dig the unique flaw in yours....embrace the flaw. Who wants to have the exact same thing as everyone else has? You have a unique box set that few if many have. Anyway I wouldn't sweat that detail as long as the music is there that's all that matters to me. Stay safe, stay positive and test negative. :-) Cranor
Thank you for the positive comments. That is a great way to look at it. I will have to look and see what they are going for. I thought they were still in stock on Ozzy's website.
Hi Melinda. Congrats on the purchase. I would love to get it but not in the cards. My take on the 'defect' is as long as the correct music is on the record it is relatively minor and from now on when I see anybody showing it I'll remember you have the 'unique' one. Matches the 'unique' person you are. Your collection will give you many years of happy listening. Cheers. Greg
Thank you very much! 😀 Many people have said what you are saying. My fear has been that if tough times hit and I needed to sell it this mistake would hurt the value. With what you are saying, that would not be the case. I might ask again for a normal copy but I'm not as stressed as I was. Take care.
Spoke to the head of a record company way back: Secretaries from record companies very often learned the signature of artists. So it is normal that it’s not always the artist him/herself signing. They don't have the time. That’s the way it goes.
Great review - bummer about NMT! My box arrived damaged on the hinges, but fortunately they replaced it no issue. Need to go over all the records and look for any label issues now. I believe @TooManyRecords also had issues with his as well. I know you mentioned his review video earlier. :-)
A misprint can make it rise in value more than a perfect copy, so you should be happy with what you got! Agree with your rating of the albums, but you need to give Bark at The Moon some more love - it is one of his best.
I do need to listen to Bark At the Moon a few more times. It is growing on me. Some albums are an instant love and others grow on me and become a favorite. I appreciate your input. Take care.
If the only issue is the label, it may make your set more valuable due to possibly an isolated error. I would keep it. They may not have a replacement if the box set sold out. Great video.
All these color variants are absolutely stunning! Yeah that label problem with "No More Tears" is a little annoying especially for the price. I wonder if it was just a manufacturing error on your specific copy. It is hard to say but if the service is being slow and such I would just keep the album as is. And who knows...maybe it could be more valuable down the line because of the error...not that you're trying to sell it but it is cool if it goes up in value due to an error.
Thank you Mike. The customer service should be a little better for an expensive box set like this. You and others are making me feel better about it. The mistake doesn't seem to disappoint other collectors so that is reassuring. Take care Mike!
I was watching a Dr. Fuk* video... And talked good about your channel and he posted your TH-cam channel.. I love Ozzys music so I chose this video to watch 1st... I love this video, And I did subscibe... Now I have to watch all the other videos... You seem like a really sweet person... I also wish you the best with your channel...
Thank you so much Larry. Ralph is a wonderful TH-cam friend. He has a great channel. He is so funny and informative. He has been generous with me in the past so when I saw that Cheap Trick album, I had to pick it up for him. I love the Ozzy box set. I hope you find more videos you like. Thank you so much for the sub and for saying hello. Take care.
Hey Melinda! Excellent video and an awesome Ozzy box set. The vinyl is beautiful. As far as your issue, I feel the same as you. If it were me, I would escalate for sure. And I agree, don’t send the defect back first. I’m hoping it gets resolved soon. for you. And I will say, listen to Bark some more. I think you’ll learn to love it. All the best. 🇨🇦
Hi Melinda , As a marginal Ozzy fan , even I would love that box ! Lol Certificate of "Ozzthenticity " Always liked his live albums & The Vinyl is Awesome ! Lots of splatter. Nice pick up.
I feel your pain. In the very early '80s I spent $10 (about $30 today ) for a Moody Blues concert program. It broke about every rule in the English language. It seemed the person who wrote it, English was their second language. Good luck on a replacement!
Hi Melinda, thanks for showing the Ozzy box set, looks awesome. And thanks for pulling out all the vinyl, some beautiful wax. Unless they send you a replacement first, I would keep the record, you might not get one back. Take care😀
Great box set. Sad that they messed up on that label. I agree with you, I wouldn’t send it back until they send you a replacement. If you don’t hear back, just think of it this way, it’s a mess up, and maybe it will be a collectors item and worth a lot. At least you can play the album and enjoy it. One of my grails is to find a original of Diary of a Madman. That one has alway been my favorite.
Wow Melinda, that Ozzy Osbourne box set is amazing. I loved seeing all the cool coloured splattered vinyl. As for the error, I think it's really up to you whether you want to try and get a replacement or not. An error like that wouldn't normally bother me too much but if, like you, I had paid that amount on something it might bug me a bit too. On the other hand I think the mess up makes something unique and worth more. I bought Queen's Greatest Hits II double album last year and I found that it had the same problem you have, record 2 has the same label both sides. It has 2 side D labels and no side C, but I didn't do anything about it. It didn't bother me really and I think the label error might make it worth more money than other pressings. Stay safe Melinda.
I have reached out to them multiple times and never got a response. I think they made the decision for me. Lol. The music wasn't affected so that is what matters. Overall, it is a very nice set. For the money, it should be. 😃 Have a great weekend!
I would be upset as well. And I agree, they should send it first. I have a friend that had a problem getting the new Ozzy from their site on the day of release. He pre ordered it and it did not arrive for weeks after its release. So to deal with sending your copy back is risky. I share your opinion on this.
Thank you Ralph. I made this video right before we spoke. I'm not going to send my record back unless I get the replacement first. It's a nice box set but the service has been really slow. Take care.
Hey Melinda, that's a cool box set which was meticulously crafted except for the double label on the one record. After giving it some thought, you may be better off keeping the record which may add more value because of the misprint and also avoid getting a damaged copy sent in return for the one you want replaced. You could pick up another copy if so inclined thus having a choice for another buyer if ever you decide to sell in the future. I guess it will depend on whether it bothers you or not as to what your final decision will be, so hope you come to a decision that works for you . Take care and enjoy.
As soon as I heard about this box set, I pre-ordered it. I'd been wanting the vinyl records of "No More Tears" and "Ozzmosis" (my 2 favorite Ozzy albums) for a long time. I was really not wanting to pay the price the original pressings of those go for. I already owned most of the older albums, but I was OK with cost of the box set for those 2 plus the B-sides and live stuff. I'd keep the mislabeled one and not risk not getting a replacement. Though my box set has all correct labels (just checked), my copy of Ozzy's latest album, "Ordinary Man" had the same issue. It has side A's label on both sides.
Love the Kiss shirt. I've never seen one like it. Hey bought a couple really cool albums last week. You heard Steven Wilson and the records that he produces reissues? I got Jethro Tull Aqualung and it is just the best sounding album I think I own. Absolute killer like you say. It comes with a booklet and it is so amazing I've played it four times and I only got it a few days ago. Walmart $21. Then I had to have this Elton John picture disc double album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road $29 Walmart. Sounds good for a picture disc it's beautiful. I just had to share all that info with you. Sorry to say but I really don't care for Ozzy but I'm glad that you're excited about this.🤟🎶🎸💿🎙
The Elton John album is very cool! I love that one. Jethro Tull is also wonderful. I'm so glad you got such a great copy. Thank you for the compliment and advice regarding my box set. Take care.
Melissa, possible option on the error issue. Buy one of the albums that folks are selling from the sets ($200 or less) Then send your album back. At least at that point you still have a complete box set. Once and if you receive the replacement album you can now sell either one to recoup your money or keep it as a possibility error rarity in the future. It’s only money not worth the aggravation of thinking about it. Even though I would be upset about the error too.
Thank you for the suggestion. I am going to send a brand new email explaining the problem and hope they reply. If not, I can consider your idea. Thanks again and take care.
Hi Melinda, What a glorious box set. Love Ozzy. I agree and I would want them to send the new one first. COVID is making communication and delivery difficult. I am hoping that you get that sorted out. God bless and keep well, Tino
A lot of people are saying that it may increase the value so I feel a little better about it now. I'm just not willing to send my copy back first so I may have to live with it. I really like the vinyl too. Thank you.
Phew, I thought I missed this video, as I saw you show an Ozzy album in a video a couple weeks back. I was like, 'when did Melinda get this box set?' Let's hope they see this video and change their tune. I agree, they should send you the vinyl first considering how much you shelled out for a premium product. I think it would bother me as well. My stars though, all those albums look beautiful. - Joel
Thank you Joel and I'm sorry for the confusion. I will probably send them one more email in hopes they respond. Either way, I'm happy with the box set. Take care.
I totally understand that the amount of money paid should equal 100% attention to detail. However don't let it get in the way of your enjoyment of the amazing music.. I certainly wouldn't risk sending it back.. Keep up the good work. Best wishes from London, England
I was concerned that the mistake could harm the value of my box set. I don't plan on selling it but if I had to in an emergency, it would be frustrating if that mistake hurt the value.
@@MelindaMurphy The opposite is probably true. In many cases, misprints are rare, hence the version is more rare, hence is more valuable. Personally I love misprints and quirky birthmarks on records. You very well might have the most rare pressing of an already rare record. Total keeper copy IMO
Misprints and mislabellings very often TRIPLE the value. Not always, but I’d wager that this mislabelling makes your box set MORE desirable. I’d keep it. You’ve got a one-off of something that’s relatively rare and expensive to begin with.
Melinda Murphy I would look into your strange pressing. I suspect that you’re not alone in getting this mis-label. I reckon there is a small percentage of the 5000 presses that have this issue. It can’t be a one-off mis-labelling. If it is a complete one-off then you have a very special one of a kind copy. But, if there are others that have this same issue, then there will only be a very small percentage of copies that have this anomaly, which should make it quite collectible.
That set looks really nice! Especially the colors and splatter on the vinyls. I personally would live with the labels. But i understand being upset about it. Is there any bonus material or rarities included in the set?
I love the error. My reaction would be, "Wow! This is so cool!". Then I'd try to gather info to see if this is common for all the box sets, or unique to just a few. If they all have this error, then it's not a big deal. If it's fairly rare, you've got a treasure in your hands. Either way, I would never send it back to have it corrected. PS; rock'n KISS shirt. :)
Thank you for your Ozzy Osbourne box set with one problem..... Maybe? Wow!! The Ozzy box set is the Ultimate!! Love the colored splattered vinyl!! I would get the vinyl with both D labels replaced. Take a picture and text or e - mail it to who you bought the box set from. Ask them to send a replacement and keep the vinyl you have (because of the mistake). Hopefully, they will do that!! Let me know what happens. I'll tune in next time!! Take Care.🎤🎸🎵🥁
That is what I want to do. I sent them a video of me flipping the record back and forth so they could see the error. I am waiting on their reply. Hopefully I will hear from them soon. Take care and thank you for the advice.
@@MelindaMurphy Yes!! The video is a better idea. You should get a correct vinyl and be able to keep the other one. Have a wonderful rest of your week and weekend!! Hope you're able to get some vinyl on record store day. Take Care🎸🎵🥁🎤
many of ozzy's albums are not avail on cd so its nice that most of them are in this set (still no speak of the devil) but i have 3 questions that ozzy fans want to know: is "shot in the dark" is the original 4:26 version or the edited 4:16 version, is daisley & kerslake on the 1st two albums and not the later re-recorded versions, and is BATM the original mix.
I did not know that they did that I have to check mine now thank you for that....... Bringing it to my attention....yes for that much money they should have done it right and they should send you the vinyl record first since it was they're messed up I would just keep on them till they sent you that vinyl record and then I would send the defective one back to them... Like to know if you get your vinyl from them to correct the one they messed up on you stay frosty my friend and God bless you
I agree with you sweetie it is frustrating and I'm the same way as you I love the box set it's awesome and I hope you have a great week too you have a very blessed day God bless you
I understand your concern and I agree that for the price of the boxed set it should be perfect. On the other hand sometimes a mistake on the label makes the record worth more rather than less. I think you made the right call by not sending it back. I would want to be able to inspect and play the replacement first.
A lot of people are saying that my copy is unique so I do feel better about it. They should send me a replacement copy regardless. Thank you for your input.
I had a hard time finding the link when I was wanting to order it too. Go to the channel Too Many Records. He shared the link on his Ozzy box set video. I ordered my copy through his link. Let me know if you find it. I hope that helps. Take care.
ozzyosbournemusic.shop.musictoday.com/product/Y4LPOZ008/ Does this help? If it doesn't link, copy and paste it or just google ozzy osbourne box set. That's how I found it!
The more videos I see about this box set the more tempted i am to get it! For what you get with the splatter vinyl, the exclusivity and the “signature”, it’s worth the $500 price tag. It gives other career spanning box sets of the same caliber a run for its money. The mistake you pointed out is a huge one and I’m sure it gives people some hesitation about splurging that much for a potentially faulty product. Personally for myself, as long as the music content on the sides is correct then I’m Not too bothered but I’m sure my OCD would go off the radar since the label doesn’t match.
This box set is really great. I'm happy to have it. The label problem bothers me because I think it could potentially hurt the value sometime down the line if I ever need to sell it. Most people have left feedback saying it won't hurt the value and may actually help it. I would love for Van Halen to come up with box sets that are this nice. Take care.
I would keep it, mistakes like these tends to make items more valuable. Have you been able to confirm that other sets don't have these same issue? If they don't I would definitely keep it. I remember a video on a Rolex watch with a mistake with the numbers on the dial, that watch is worth a lot more money than the ones without the mistake. Great videos, I just found your channel, subscribed, watch many of the past videos and looking forward to future videos.
That is a good perspective. One other person who saw my video said that their record has the same error so this isn't the only one with the mistake. The music isn't a problem so I think I'm just going to let it go. Thank you and have a great week!
I just found and showed some Ozzy. I dig it! I wish I could buy a single record of No More Tears without buying the box set. Although, it is an impressive box set.
I love the look of the splattered and colored vinyl, however, I prefer good ol' black vinyl for playing. Colored vinyl always makes it difficult to cue up individual tracks, in my opinion.
beautiful boxset indeed! Keep the misprint LP, for some reason they always gain value over time. .. and I'm with you on Ozzmosis : That maybe my favourite Perry Mason is a killer track! Take care!
Hi Melinda, I really enjoyed this video. As you know, I'm a big Black Sabbath fan. Ozzy's solo career is a mixed bag, but he has put out a few great solo albums. I have original issues of both Blizzard of Oz and Diary of a Madman. I bought them back in the in the early to mid '80's brand new. Don't think I've played them more than ten times. Ozzy suffered a huge loss when Randy Rhoads died. Don't think he ever fully recovered. I never really had any interest in his other solo albums, except maybe No More Tears, but as a box set it's absolutely killer! 👍👍👍👍👍 For any Ozzy fan, this box has got to be the cat's meow! I just swooned over the colored vinyl splatter disks! 😍 Now, that brings me to your concern about the Side C labeling error on No More Tears. I find these kinds of errors to be really pretty cool. Early issues of vinyl albums back in the day often had errors on the labels or the album covers; they usually were not as obvious as this. Don't think I'd worry about it too much. That error will be an identifying feature of the box set for future collectors. It will verify that it is the first issue or press. Later issues often correct these kinds of mistakes. I don't think it's worth the time to worry about this. Your time would be better spent on cleaning records, listening to them, or your next big game vinyl record hunt. Thanks for a great video, you got me interested in listening to a few of Ozzy's later albums. 👍💖🎸😎
This is a beautiful box set. I would love for Van Halen to do something like this. I do enjoy the albums. They sound great and the vinyl is so pretty. Ozzmosis is a really good album imo. I will just hang on to the album I have I guess. It sounds good. Take care.
@@MelindaMurphy Funny you should mention a Van Halen box set. I've been looking for one with the David Lee Roth years. If they do it, they'll probably throw in the Van Hagar years. It's not really the side of Van Halen that I like. Something I don't like about these kind of box sets is picking up the not so great albums. You wouldn't have that problem with VH, because even the Van Hagar albums are good.
Nice Video Melinda! I was thinking about getting this. It costs $500 thats not cheap but then again for all you get with it includes Ozzy signature (maybe 😉 i have the "signed Ordinary Man * i ve heard it was signed by his assistant) its not too bad KISS did a similar box set a few years ago and wanted close to $2000! So $500 is not terrible. I understand what you mean about the label iit shoild be correct. I guess if plays ok i would just keep it and not return it and not risk losing it or something. Who knows maybe the misprint will make the box set more unique 😉
I really wish I had bought that Kiss set! That is one of my biggest regrets. This box set is pricey but so well done that I think it is worth it. There are alot of albums in this and they are top notch. Thank you for your input. Take care.
very nice box set and that suck you have that on you set, with that labeling error, and i dont blame not to try to send it back but if you do see if the post office give you the tracking number on it so you can track down day by day, and i hear with these labeling error, they might worth some big money one day i have a Johnny Cash Sun lp with labeling error, my mom bought for me when i was a kid and i still have it, but it dont play very well but i keep it lol but it hs 2 side 2s on it lol, but i am going to get a new copy of that album one day, anyway great video Melinda and have Fun with your new box set, now if i get that set it has to be on cd cause i think its much cheaper if i get it lol
I'm with you, Melinda! For that much money, they need to get it right... AND I wouldn't send it back first. THEY should send the replacement, you're so right about that! I Hope they wisen up and send it to you first. Cool review!
Looks like you have a one of a kind with the label wrong. I’d not personally worry about it, but I also don’t buy to collect or as an investment. If I was looking at it as an investment I might be upset, but you do have a misprint which might make it more valuable. Either way, I’m jealous of the box set. If I didn’t have the vast majority of those albums already, I might have been tempted. Rock on Melinda.
That was an excellent review. I have the box set and my No More Tears also has tge double label on the second LP. I'm going to keep it since its on the label and the music itself isn't affected. By the way, that's a cool KISS shirt.
Hey Mike! You are the second person that has told me they have the label mistake on theirs. So there are at least 3 out there. You're right, it doesn't affect the music. This is a wonderful box set isn't it?
Hey Melinda, i think its rude of the record company to treat you like that. IMO, you should get a replacement AND keep the mislabeled one too. After all, they made the mistake. You paid a lot of money for that and shouldnt have to lift a finger to get satisfaction. This lack of QC is frustrating. In the old days i was surprised when i bought an lp that had issues. Now its a surprise if it doesnt. I agree with your opinion, i wouldnt be happy about the mislabel either. Good luck!
Nice box set! Here's some info I just recently discovered. There was some type of legal battle over Shot in the Dark that seems to have been settled out of court. According to Wiki, "16 beats, 4 measures, of music are chopped out of the first chorus". I was able to confirm this. I have the original CD pressing of Ultimate Sin that includes the unedited recording. The vinyl you own should have the 4 min 16 second version of the song as opposed to the original 4 min 26 second version. Just an interesting bit of trivia. I was also never a huge fan of No Rest for the Wicked. I bought the CD back in 1989 after seeing Ozzy on Tour at the Worcester Centrum in Massachusetts with Vixen and White Lion opening. Haven't listened to it in years. I'll have to give it another try.
Killer box set! I wouldn't worry about the label issue. Hell, i have a copy of Dressed to Kill by KISS where the labels are on the wrong sides. Lol. I would just be glad I didn't receive a set where paper was pressed into some of the records, now that is ridiculous!! Lol. 🤘
I'd happily keep the record with the label error. Who knows? if the error wasn't made on all of them, it could one day be a collectible. If not, you've got a neat oddball piece for your collection anyway. It's all part of the fun!
@@MelindaMurphy it could be the only one like that. I would hang on to it. Being unique could make it a lot more valuable. I wonder if someone has a copy with two side C's.
I pretty much feel the same about the situation as you. I don't like that you are having issue with email response. Plus I don't feel comfortable sending it back without a replacement in hand first. The LP is fantastic otherwise so I will keep it.
Wow! Awesome box set Melinda! I have been eyeing this one as well, maybe I will pick it up!
I think you would really like it. 😀
I love Diary of a Madman too. I watch videos while folding my laundry. It makes the job a little better. 😀
He never topped his first 2 albums........Love that shirt!
Thank you!
That is a great shirt, the stars remind me of the Wonder Woman credits.
Can you put a link to where to buy the shirt,Melinda?
@@darrelldetwiler4773 I bought the shirt at Macy's a couple of years ago. I doubt they have it in stock anymore.
Twiki Robot true , blizzard and diary with randy are the best and never topped
Hi from Scotland, Melinda. I also have this box set and the 2nd LP of No More Tears in mine (No. 2132) had Side C labels on both sides. I won’t be returning mine for the same reasons as you. To honest, now that I’ve seen you video I think it’s probably very common! I love your videos and we share a lot of the same taste. Keep up the good work !!!
Thank you. We got each other's labels. Lol. I appreciate your kind words. Take care.
Wow.... What a collection... I love Ozzy and hadnt seen a couple of those... Great vid... As always...
Thank you so much!
You make some really great points. It would be cool to have something unique. Thank you for your perspective on this. Take care.
Love the Ozzy autograph and happy to see that Ozzmosis was included with the box set. Killer t shirt as well. Enjoyed! Andre’
I really like Ozzmosis. Thank you!
Shelley Lyme goid point!
You never know. It might be valuable in the future. Thank you!
I'm a simple man. I see a new Melinda video I watch and like it - even if I'm not crazy about the artist you're talking about. Another great video
Haha! Thank you so much! 😀
Love the videos. Can't wait to see the rest of your collection.
Thank you so much!
Awesome set. Outta my price range but hopefully we now get separate reissue of No more tears soon. Enjoy!!
I'm sure they will reissue those albums seperately. Thank you!
Congratulations on that box set some beautiful looking vinyl!!! Keep the misprint it may be worth more one day. Stay safe
The splatter vinyl is beautiful. Thank you Rod!
Definitely keep the misprint.
I think that is the most elaborate box set I've ever seen. Great addition to your collection. Regarding duplicate label issue, I think the record company should send you a replacement LP and let you keep the original. In any case I would not be too upset with the label error. Perhaps it makes your set unique and even more valuable.
I like the way you think.😀 This is an extremely well done box set. I wish more bands would make theirs this nice. Take care.
I ordered mine from the Ozzy web site, really like the few I have listened to. Now I need to find a complete Black Sabbath box set to go along with it.
I agree! 🥰
Thank you! That is very optimistic. I'm not as concerned about it anymore thanks to the feedback I am getting. Take care.
Ozzmosis is my favorite. I’m 44 years old and have been listening to Ozzy since I was 9 years old. Ozzy has always been my favorite through out the years. Your awesome for this video. Keep up the good work \m/
I love Ozzmosis as well. Thank you for the kind words. ♥️🤗 Take care.
@@MelindaMurphy See you on the other side is my all time favorite. I want that to be played at my funeral.
I only listen to Ozzy when he was with BS and never really followed his solo stuff but this box set looks like a set that I would invest into. Nice video and thanks for your time and your hard work each week. Take care
Other than this little issue with the label, this box set is top notch. I have no regrets picking it up. Thank you.
Awesome box set! I would keep pressing for the people to send a replacement, and hold onto the current one you have. The misprint Label may actually make the record much more valuable down the road. Looks really cool, congrats!
Thank you for the compliment and great advice!
I will definitely check out that song. You are the first person I have heard has the same label problem. Interesting. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the suggestion. Take care.
Thank you for the suggestion. It would be cool to make money off of my set. Lol. Take care.
Best use of birthday money this side of buying 1977 Topps Baseball cards and Sgt Rock comics. That’s a beautiful box set. My advice? If the cons out weigh the pros? Seek remediation. Great video, Melinda. Thanks for sharing.
I'm a Yankee fan so 1977 was Awesome ! Reggie with 3 swings & 3 home runs ! 💪
The pros outweigh the cons. I'm not going to send my vinyl copy back first. Thank you!
David Ellis I remember. 3 different pitchers too.
Great story! Wow!!!
Ozzy sat down and patiently, lovingly, carefully & soberly applied his signature 5000 times to each boxed set
yeah, lol.
Hints of sarcasm. 😆
Have a great week! x
PS - I bet the set weighs a ton!
Cranor
Thank you for the positive comments. That is a great way to look at it. I will have to look and see what they are going for. I thought they were still in stock on Ozzy's website.
David, they're still available on Ozzy's website, for the same price that's been charged since they first went on sale late last year.
Take care.
Spoke to the head of a record company way back:
Secretaries from record companies very often learned the signature of artists.
So it is normal that it’s not always the artist him/herself signing. They don't have the time. That’s the way it goes.
Maybe Sharon signed it. Lol. 😀
Hi, I'm not a fan of coloured vinyl but your collection from that box set is just stand out wonderful.
Thank you so much!
Great review - bummer about NMT! My box arrived damaged on the hinges, but fortunately they replaced it no issue. Need to go over all the records and look for any label issues now. I believe @TooManyRecords also had issues with his as well. I know you mentioned his review video earlier. :-)
He did. I'm glad they took care of you. 😀
If I can't get the replacement first, I'm going to keep it. Thank you!
I love your Kiss shirt!!🎤🎸🎵🥁
I will definitely take your advice and listen to Bark At the Moon several times. Some albums take time to fall in love with. Thank you so much!
One of the best box sets ever. Nice shirt btw 😉
Best regards from Germany
Awww! Thank you!
Hi Melinda , As a marginal Ozzy fan , even I would love that box ! Lol Certificate of "Ozzthenticity " Always liked his live albums & The Vinyl is Awesome ! Lots of splatter. Nice pick up.
Thank you! I would love to see more artists create box sets like this.
I feel your pain. In the very early '80s I spent $10 (about $30 today ) for a Moody Blues concert program. It broke about every rule in the English language. It seemed the person who wrote it, English was their second language. Good luck on a replacement!
Funny story! Thank you!
Hi Melinda, thanks for showing the Ozzy box set, looks awesome. And thanks for pulling out all the vinyl, some beautiful wax. Unless they send you a replacement first, I would keep the record, you might not get one back. Take care😀
You're right. That's my big concern. Take care.
I love Diary Of A Madman too. Thank you for the input.
I'm not a big Ozzy fan but would definitely like a few albums out of that boxset.
Most of the albums are really good and I also love the live albums. Thank you!
Did you know there is an album missing from the catalog called “speak of the devil” ? It’s a live album , Not sure why they didn’t include that.
I knew it was missing. Their must have been a problem with the copyrights on that one. I wish it was in here.
@@MelindaMurphy I should have got it when I had the chance , it’s triple the price on EBay.
@@tonystephens6858 ok but there are other albums on this set that have Sabbath songs
I like your ozzy Osbourne vinyl box set nice collection I like your kiss t shirt
Thank you! 😀
Thank you for the advice. I will probably send them one more email. You're right. I could always buy another reissue when it comes out. Take care.
Those were the albums I was wanting as well. It's a great box set and even though it was expensive, it was worth it to me. Take care!
Take care.
its just been announced that a black vinyl reissue box set will be released now incl ozzy's 2 most recent albums but also limited edition.
That's great news. So many people have been wanting that box set. ♥️🔥 Thank you and take care.
Sorry Melinda, Melissa is my daughters name and autocorrect got me!
No problem! My daughter's name is Melissa too. 🥰
Thank you for the suggestion. I am going to send a brand new email explaining the problem and hope they reply. If not, I can consider your idea. Thanks again and take care.
Just keep it....sending it back would be hell getting your new one back.....i think you have diamond in your OZZY box set...👍🤘
Thank you. That is very encouraging! 😀
Hi Melinda,
What a glorious box set. Love Ozzy. I agree and I would want them to send the new one first. COVID is making communication and delivery difficult. I am hoping that you get that
sorted out.
God bless and keep well,
Tino
I think the error is rad. Super rare and cool
Thank you. That makes me feel better about it. 😀
I would think an oops label would be worth more as a collectible! Beautiful wax!!
A lot of people are saying that it may increase the value so I feel a little better about it now. I'm just not willing to send my copy back first so I may have to live with it. I really like the vinyl too. Thank you.
That is not always the case, unfortunately. But like I said in my comment, it does make it somewhat special, and unlike many of the rest.
Sometimes a label error like that can make a record more valuable, kind of like a postage stamp printed upside down that becomes worth thousands! :-)
That would be nice! 😀
Thank you so much Peter. It would be nice if they just sent a correct copy and be done. 😀
Beautiful vinyl artwork i agree
Thank you David!
I wouldn't let the 2 side D labels bother me enough to return it.
That's definitely ba positive way of thinking about it. I hope you're right. Thank you for the encouragement. Take care.
There is a rarities/ b side album and several good live albums. The splatter vinyl is really cool. Thank you!
I don't think it is a common problem. From the comments I'm getting, I'm not going to worry about it and just enjoy it. Thank you for the input.
Like to know if you get your vinyl from them to correct the one they messed up on you stay frosty my friend and God bless you
It's frustrating but I still love this box set. Have a great week!
We was brought up not to play coloured vinyl as they get damage very quickly due to the colouring so we just have them in glass cases
Hi Melinda do you have a link for this Ozzy box I don't find it. Thanks a lot. Today il have found the first album "Trapèze " group, first quality..
I have that Live ep of Mr Crowley on picture disc from back in the day.
That's very cool!!! 😎
Personally for myself, as long as the music content on the sides is correct then I’m
Not too bothered but I’m sure my OCD would go off the radar since the label doesn’t match.
You can buy a copy on Discogs. Some sellers are breaking up the boxes and selling them individually. Thank you Eric!
I love the look of the splattered and colored vinyl, however, I prefer good ol' black vinyl for playing. Colored vinyl always makes it difficult to cue up individual tracks, in my opinion.
That is true. If you like to go to a particular song, splatter vinyl makes it that much harder.
i would keep it and not worry about it
Thank you! 😀
@@MelindaMurphy you might make a sticky note and put in in the album with the songs on that side just for you to to know the songs
beautiful boxset indeed! Keep the misprint LP, for some reason they always gain value over time. .. and I'm with you on Ozzmosis : That maybe my favourite Perry Mason is a killer track! Take care!
Thank you! I think Ozzmosis is very underrated. Perry Mason!!!!!😎
MELINDA NICE VIDEO ON YOUR OZZY BOX SET. SORRY ABOUT THE LABEL ERROR. TAKE CARE
Thank you Bobby!
from the see you on the other side box set,Does anyone have a double copy of Live & loud third record? I have a double copy of the second record
All of my records are correct. You need to talk to someone from the Ozzy website if it isn't too late. Thank you and best wishes!
It is a cool box set and a cd set would be nice if they make one available. Thank you Curtis.
@@MelindaMurphy Anytime
That's an incredible set for Ozzy fans. I would only return the record if the company sent a replacement first..otherwise forget it.
Thank you!
I'm with you, Melinda! For that much money, they need to get it right... AND I wouldn't send it back first. THEY should send the replacement, you're so right about that! I Hope they wisen up and send it to you first. Cool review!
Thank you! I agree. I will send them another message and hopefully they will get back with me soon.
I didn't buy it as an investment but if I had to sell it, I wonder if the label problem would hurt the value? It's a cool set regardless. Take care.
@@MelindaMurphy I would believe it wouldn't hurt, but possibly help because it's an error in manufacturing. I could be wrong though.
Good luck!
Thank you. What you said would be the perfect outcome. The QC and customer service needs a little work. Take care.
I’m much more of a Sabbath fan than Ozzy solo but he still has some great material. Love your shirt btw😊
I like Black Sabbath alot too. Thank you. I love the shirt too. 🥰
Next time I listen to that, I will keep that in mind. I didn't know that. Thank you for the information. 😀
Killer box set! I wouldn't worry about the label issue. Hell, i have a copy of Dressed to Kill by KISS where the labels are on the wrong sides. Lol. I would just be glad I didn't receive a set where paper was pressed into some of the records, now that is ridiculous!! Lol.
🤘
That's true. The music is not affected. Thank you.
Box set was cool, but the kiss shirt is the best
Haha! Thank you. I love it too.
I'd happily keep the record with the label error. Who knows? if the error wasn't made on all of them, it could one day be a collectible. If not, you've got a neat oddball piece for your collection anyway. It's all part of the fun!
That's a great perspective. Thank you!
I just checked my box set and its got the correct labels on No More Tears, maybe u should keep it, it's unique.
Thank you for checking yours. I'll probably just keep it. It doesn't affect the music. Take care.
@@MelindaMurphy it could be the only one like that. I would hang on to it. Being unique could make it a lot more valuable. I wonder if someone has a copy with two side C's.
Hi Melinda.... great box set. I’d keep the defective record especially given that all the music is there. Don’t lose sleep over it. Just enjoy it.
Thank you!
You are not alone with the No More Tears misprint. I have box #123 and I have the exact same error. I wonder how many have it?
Oh wow! Someone else had the same problem. Did you decide to keep it or get a replacement?
I pretty much feel the same about the situation as you. I don't like that you are having issue with email response. Plus I don't feel comfortable sending it back without a replacement in hand first. The LP is fantastic otherwise so I will keep it.
