I am from Spain and back in 2008 we didn't have as many translations of fantasy as now so a publisher dropped this monthly collection of Salvatore Demonwars saga books and I couldn't stop reading them, my mind was blown. Then I discovered Drizzt. All Salvatore's early works are extremely entertaining and exciting.

It was the first time I got truly invested in a character and after hearing this interview I understand why now. It’s awesome to see him so caught up on drizzt as a character. Describing action with prose is only a pale imitation of manga. Better to leave such things to artists and record only the outcome of battles with a brief explanation of how the victor prevailed.

Currently going through Icewind Dale after having finished The Dark Elf Trilogy. Loving it so far. I'm at the point where the barbarians are about to attack and Drizzt and Bruenor are setting up the ambush, or at least talking about it.
Interesting that RA keeps using the pronunciation of Drizz’t in two ways, “Drizzd” and “Drits”, through each other. And yes I got that! “Wobbah wobbah!” - that was epic

I asked Robert which book i should read first from the Drizzt Legends, he didn't give me a definitive answer so i picked up the very first he wrote, The Crystal Shard, had its flaws but it was a great adventure.
AAA Drizzt CGI 3D MOVIE SERIES !!!! ...... C'MON !!! Would CRUSH at the box office !!! HAS to be all CGI to be able to properly "Capture" Salvitore's Masterpiece !!! ... Then ... The VIDEO GAME !!!

54:25 - people get preconceived notion of you because of certain statistics that make your people as a whole stand out. Just as people have individual characteristics, they also have collective characteristics and Bob tries to completely ignore the latter. As much as I like him as a writer, he definitely needs better understanding of racial dynamics.
This was a great conversation and I can't wait to watch more of your interviews and videos, but damn man you seemed super distracted throughout the entire conversation. It really felt like you just had a conveyor belt of questions and couldn't wait to cycle through them. Please stop trying to be an 'interviewer' and have a conversation with these people.

By the end, I definitely saw why people think he's "woke". I'm just happy he is the way that people will use the word for him. All that to simply say my thanks is genuine and no trickery was involved.

"Ascendance" was my introduction to Salvatore. From there I went to the Drizzt stories.
