After months I've finally caught a diamond walleye!
I've tried both the first and second spots the past couple of days but only caught a couple of gold and mostly tiger muskie. Today I went back to the first spot, took a boat out to about halfway between the dock and the bridge to the north(assuming north us up), and started casting back toward the dock. The second fish I reeled in was a 16.69-pound diamond walleye, had some supper, came back, and cast again to reel in another 16-pound walleye. Both were caught between times 18.20 and 19.00. After that, it was nothing but smaller walleye, burbot, and catfish.
Now onto that damn sauger.

And no, the setup doesn't affect the fish population in any way. The equipment strenght I suggest is just to optimize how much money and xp you get per fish.

Hey! You need a stronger line and a better reel. Just keep catching the fish you can catch atm to gain money and lvl up. Check the store to see if you can buy a stronger line and a reel with a higher max drag. You are probably gonna need a rod with a higher max line strenght too, so see if you can buy one.
