i think the most terrifying part about the ted the caver story is the fact that he never uptaded the page ever again after he went back for the camera.
My interpretation of the creature is that it’s a humanoid beast with a spindly, yet immensely powerful, hairless body, with long razor sharp claws, jagged needle like fangs, slitted nostrils and bulging, blood shot red eyes.
I really really enjoy the approach you guys take to the creepy pasta videos. Presenting like they are a real event we are learning about makes them feel like the creepy short stories they were meant to be.
I have a broken left ankle and a severely sprained right ankle, I can't walk, so I have A LOT of time to watch yt vids! THANK YOU for posting another video tonight lol
Just finished listening after a few nights of falling asleep to it. This is one of the few that had me lifting my head and checking the bedroom door 😂😂 very creepy and great read from dark somnium
I'm only half way through and i guarantee the scariest part for me is the squeezing into a hole you can barely move in, and having to let all the air out of your lungs to keep going. Not an effing chance. I would love to explore caves as long as i can move around freely lol.
7:40 this in my opinion is the most bone chilling and scariest moment after knowing the full story. For those who don’t know, the breeze coming through the hole was most likely whatever thing was in their and that was it breathing. It probably stopped because it knew something else was entering the cave
I would have taken a hint from the dog snarling and then being scared that it was time to get out . Then hearing bloodcurdling scream and continue on ?
When I heard about the hieroglyphs, I kinda let my imagination run wild. What I was thinking at first was that some ancient human like people such as Neanderthals or some early undiscovered people were in that cave. I took it a step further and imagined that the entry to the cave acted like a time warp where if you entered, you were thrown back say between 50,000-100,000 years and somehow that tunnel acted as some sort of wormhole that connected these two worlds. Me second idea was that this was simply the entrance to hollow earth. Anyone who knows about this, go watch King Kong
I always found the drawn glyphs interesting. You can figure out what they mean, but it would've taken an extremely creative person to make them as simple as they are, while also describing a complex scenario.
That’s so true! it’s amazing how drawn glyphs have eventually involved into written language, culture! I can imagine in that era if two tribes met and couldn’t communicate verbally, drawn glyphs could of helped them communicate in some other medium that was instinctually universal
Nobody that knows anything about placing lines for anchors for climbing or especially going into a cave would use a tree that would wobble when stressed.
@@pareidoliarocks no not a solid anchor not even a car. Plus a line under stress would almost instantly be cut with a moderately sharp knife. Pretty sure whole thing made up.
@@johnmorey8107 good point about the line under tension would cut easily. I think most of us view it as fiction? Someone did combine some "facts" about two different subjects pretty entertainingly. IMO

@Raheem Stephens The sun tastes like dragon’s breath, like the flames of a phoenix, like Zeus’s lightning bolts, hotter than the hottest fire, so hot it goes beyond flavor. It tastes like the pain of every cell in your body evaporating instantly. The sun tastes like a summer day. It smells like dandelions and freshly-mowed grass and the sweat of boys playing basketball in the driveway. It tastes like the beach, salty, refreshing, and bright. The sun tastes like relief. On a bitterly cold winter day, one warm ray of sun tastes sweeter than sugar. The sun tastes like the broccoli you didn't want to eat when you were five years old. It tells you, “It’s time to work! You can't go to bed now!” when all you want to do is sleep. It tastes bland and sugarless. The sun tastes like the countryside. It tastes like pine, spicy and musky like wild thyme, sweet like wild roses. It tastes like the chirping of crickets and cicadas. It tastes like your favorite summer vacation. The sun tastes like anything you can taste in it.
This should be made into a movie cause I feel like this is a great horror story! I think that the big screen could definitely do this Justice and that the movie would do well because of how famous this story is!
This was practically one of the last "newer" urban legends which ended up becoming one of the first creepypastas. It still has this notion that this could actually happen..
I always loved this story but I just learned I live less than 10 minutes away from this cave! I’ve been to timponogos cave many times but never realized this was where the story took place

My claustrophia was blaring when he went inside that tight space. That's one of the worst things I can imagine!
