      These types of vids are incredibly hard to make....super boring and time consuming. Even I'm not doing them anymore lol
      Happy to help though!

    Matthew, I have worked on a lot of 200's. Bolt muffler on first and then you install gas tank - not hard.

    Why don't you put the muffler on then slide the gas tank on? Seems easier then trying to keep the gasket from moving.

    • @matthewolson8875
      @matthewolson8875  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah... sometimes you can do that.. but they made the muffler awkward in shape and you have to slide the gas tank on just right to get it ....iirc. thanks for the comment

    Dear Sir: I may have missed the installation of the heat shield that is installed on the inside back of the fuel tank assembly. could you help me out and instruct me as to which video shows the heat shield install. thanks!

    • @matthewolson8875
      @matthewolson8875  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it was a piece that was simply part of the gas tank I think...not shown. ..if you need it shown I can try to make another vid if I get another saw

      The heat shield on the back of the fuel tank is easy to install. It simply slides in a groove of the casing/fuel tank. The spark plug fouls installation so should be first removed. There is a cut out on the heat shield to accommodate the spark plug so orientation iis only one way. The smooth side of the heat shield faces the fins of the cylinder and the corrugated side of the heat shield faces the fuel tank. There are no fasteners as it is simply a sliding fit.

    that bolt holds the chain bar not the chain adjustert

    • @matthewolson8875
      @matthewolson8875  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      jose medina what about it?

    • @josemedina-dw9re
      @josemedina-dw9re 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      just that the bolt you had left off by the chain adjuster dose not hold the chain adjuster in place. that bolt is there to hold the bar that was all. great videos

      @matthewolson8875  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      To which are you referring...port timing or ignition timing?

    are you interested in rebuilding anymore of these? and after doing couple what would you charge

      mike hopkins thank you so much for the comment and the interest I am not taking on new work at this point in time I am just simply too busy but I highly encourage you to try this yourself it's why I made all these videos in the first place this particular model of Chainsaw is highly desirable and absolutely worth it to have rebuilt but often the cost of rebuilding becomes cost-prohibitive towards doing a rebuild which is why you can do it yourself let me know if I can be of any assistance
