Hi! I also fixed the table saw to accept the same daiblo blade 254mm, but it seems to wobble when it starts and stops. Do yo have the same problem? Thanks!
Just a thought. Instead of removing the spacer , couldn’t you just use a big washer instead or just flip the existing one so you can keep the ability to use bigger flange blades ?
Any way to do this without grinding that flange? First of all I don't have a machinist lathe like that, and would be nice to keep the original for locally available 250mm blades. I tried finding a dewalt flange piece that would be made for this bore on Amazon without any luck. Any tips?
Understood, but if you get your flange flattened, you can still use the spacers provided with the blade u purchased and if there's no spacer available, you can machine a new one as well. As for the lathe machine, you can try and locate a machinist service near you to machine your flange. While you're at it, ask them to machine the blade spacers as well... Popular sizes are 30mm, 25.4mm, 20mm.. all reduced to 16mm
And what about the riving knifes? No problem with them with the 10" blades? In my opinion, who do not want to gring anything can buy 7491-rs parts: washer clamp BD 5140032-69; plate BD 5140135-09; bracket BD 5140135-15 and maybe the riving knives as well. By replacing theese parts, I think the 10" blades would be accepted by the machine. I did not tried. I just checked the parts lists differences of the 4791 and 4792 machines.
After modding my saw, well its been couple of months now, no blade cutting straight or smooth, got a diablo combo, freud glueline and rip cut..I've checked everything and getting frustrated with the issue, any ideas?
Sounds more like a blade issue or alignment issue. The mod does nothing to the cutting of the machine. Unless you damaged that circle thingy that tightens your blade. In which case you can get it to someone who can actually do metal work and have him fix it for you.
You know you can take the part to a metal worker and have him do the job for you which is basically a 2 min job and is gonna charge you no more than 20 bucks. It is easy. Also you can fit Bosch 254mm blades which come stock with that 24mm hole and you don't need to grind it down. I think the guy did an amazing job with this video.
I think it's rather to do with the EU regulations trying to prevent Dado usage by trying to making it incompatible with 10" blades. The 7491 (US version) is identical except that it can accomodate 10" blades
nais info brother... greeting from Jepara Indonesia 🙌
any idea how to reduce the blade wobble on this tablesaw?

Any idea if we can purchase a flange for the 7492, to fit a 5/8 bore? Anyone had any luck?
Same problem here, probable have to get it bored on a cnc mill to 25.4 mm.
salam nak tanya..kalau flange tu kita beli spare part je utk fit bore 25.4mm boleh ke?
wasalam.. mmg saya pun dah rancang nak beli flange spare untuk pakai yg standard blade.. Tapi kalo pakai spacer pun dah boleh dah
@@HitoDIY ohh boleh la ye..dekat mana ya ade jual spare part tu..kalau yg pakai spacer tu mcm mana pulak?
Terbaik bro.teruskan

Is this the only way to do that ?? I also had this problem, Brought the 254mm blade, cannot insert
Yup, the blade will hit the riving knife's holder... So it needs to be ground down

Hi, any problems with this mod so far?
Nope, no problem whatsoever... Been using it on a daily basis and switched a few blades already

Really good job but is it safe !?

Tu lathe machine, skang ni rasanya dlm 2k lebih bole dpt.. Tapi kena upgrade bnyk benda untuk sedap pakai.. Upgrade je bole cecah 3k
Yeah easy replacement with your 8000$ metal lathe 😂
Haha thought the exact same. What a fail title
