Wait and see who'll wake up then Always stars see what, once you're free, He hopes will be the very last time He loves you more than this The stars let you know all's right and bright and He loves you more than this Ego lets him know that's how much more was gained Wait and see who'll wake up then Always stars see what, once you're free He hopes will be the very last time He loves you more than this The stars let you know all's right and bright and He loves you more than this Ego lets him know that's how much more was gained With a yell to you, he yawed, he'd stay What, once you're free, he hopes will be the very last time Ego lets him know that's how much more was gained
I remember when I bought this album, I just assumed it was meant to play at 33rpm rather 45. So for me, at 33rpms the beat is more melodic (a bit more upbeat than When Mama Was Moth, but was in keeping with that style). The only difference is Liz's voice. She sounded like a man. I decided it was the most experimental move I've ever heard. (IS there a album that intentionally had something like this in mind? I'd love to know!). A band that intended to make album that worked at both speeds! To this day I prefer the 33 and taped it that way. The 45 is seems too rushed, and yet that's what everyone knows. I'm pretty sure that this double play idea was never intended, but still it's one of those instances where I think if it was, it is just pure genius. I tried slowing it down on TH-cam, but its not the same. Find a record and play it at 33, and tell me if it's not more poignant and beautiful. I think it is.
one of my favorite things about records! I did this once with an Aphex Twin record and the 33 sounded so much cooler than the 45 to me, only to be disappointed when I searched it online for the 45 rpms to be the "default"! hearing Elizabeth Fraser at 33rpm must sound cool
It's always a blessed day when you come across a CT gem you had not heard before....
I don't know who made this music video, but it's stunning
I did! thank you!
@@sara-ks4lm You're very welcome! It was beautifully done.
The weekly Melody Maker included the single as a free gift .An eternal sonic bijou because: DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER!

Very interesting point about 33 and 45. I won't forget that as I think about other things in the garden. Cheers Royd ...G...

Easy to hear Type O Negative's October Rust here. This is where a big part of Peter's influence came from
Nice video, I love your mix of such different footage. Where did you get them, if I may ask?
I have a playlist on my profile called footage for music videos where I add most of the footage I use for my collages :)
@@sara-ks4lm Thanks Sara! Well thought ;)
Woww.... !!! This video is like one everlasting "23 Envelope" advertisement. I suppose that's the point?
