- Change can be scary because it often involves uncertainty and the unknown, which can make us feel vulnerable and out of control. Our brains are wired to seek comfort and stability, so when things change, it can trigger anxiety or fear. Here are a few reasons why change scares us and how to embrace it fully:
When things change, we don't always know what the future holds. This uncertainty can make us anxious because we can’t predict the outcome.
➡️ Change can disrupt our routines and make us feel like we're losing control of our lives or our situation.
➡️ Sometimes change can challenge our sense of self, especially if it involves shifting roles, relationships, or environments.
➡️ Change often requires us to learn new skills or adapt to new situations, which can make us fear failing or making mistakes.
➡️ We often become comfortable with our current situation, even if it isn't ideal. Letting go of the familiar can be difficult.

I'm turning 46 next week, and I'm currently in this space of fear of change. I'm not really sure why other than the loss of control? IDK. My body is changing, my mind is changing, I'm expecting my first grandbaby this year so that's a change in the family dynamic. Praying for me
Better to plan your change journey than be forced to make urgent changes! Know your worth, set boundaries, believe in self, trust the process, trust God, change signifies growth. Girl, change has been feeling like that song "oops upsides your head" 😂 I am absolutely riding the waves and embracing the deeper love for myself and the changes lurking the reveal themselves or should I say myself. It's been a long long journey but absolutely worth it. No more old habits, patterns or perceiving of anything. It liberating and intriguing mixed together. I'm in my season of change right now and have been happier because of it.
Earlier today I went by my old job and everyone there looks miserable. You can tell the morale is low and when I went to look for a specific person, her smile was so big. We embraced one another as if I was still there. Change was needed in my life and I'm glad that chapter in my life has closed and a new one is being written as I type this. Be blessed everyone and embrace that change and as Michael Jackson says, "Im gonna make a change for once in my life. Im gonna feel real good and gonna make a difference, gonna make it right." Hmmm... my birthday is coming up and I've found that since the year I turned 18, every year in the month of my birthday I get major panic attacks. I don't know how it started or why or even how to stop it from happening but it gets more intense the older I grow. I think that is me fearing change.
