Selena’s trust was eventually her demise. It’s from not having friends growing up, being sheltered where she wasn’t getting life experiences outside of her trusting family and being so given. It’s so sad. Her tragic death is the perfect example that, you just can’t trust people.

I also felt like her demise was not having assistants and other people like that. Like if you watch the Netflix series there was one scene where I forgot the name of the girl but this girl told Selena hey it’s important to have assistants especially a mega celebrity like you, it’s important to have professionals and people to help you because she was being pulled in so many directions Selena barely had people, she was doing it on her. Like important decisions with companies and other interviews should’ve been scheduled by assistants and professionals to help her balance her life out when it comes to being a celebrity and doing your life. but Selena was doing it on her own and she was being pulled in so many different directions. That when it came to the boutique she chose Yolanda just to choose her because in that moment she kind of really didn’t know who to trust and what to do so Yolanda seem like this kind of person that she seen that she could just trust. in that scene the girl told her it’s important to have professional assistants and other professionals to help you with the boutique because you’re a upcoming celebrity like many celebrities like Selena had professionals and guards to help them out and keep them safe at the same time. She was balancing so much in her own.

Let’s be honest, she didn’t have much going for her, especially coming to the end of her relationship with Selena. Money troubles. Obsessed, Delusional, jealous? In love? Yolanda had been fired from a job for stealing money in the past. She wormed her way in out of obsession, she could have had ulterior motives all along. Who stands between a woman and her husband? She always seemed to encroach on her in photos. So many red flags in hindsight. It seems she killed her because she couldn’t bare to not be near her, but if she killed her, she’d always be associated with her. Hearing the name Selina, you also think Yolanda synonymously because of the tragic nature of her death. She seems to think if she stays true to her narrative, she can keep her delusions alive. Doesn’t matter that Selina is dead, she has this reality in her head that she’s innocent, they were besties, her father was the problem. Since she’s the only one who knows what really went down in that room, she thinks she holds all the power, and will always have a special relationship with her. It’s her entire identity now. It is bizarre to me as it is angering that Abraham was so quick to jump to conclusions about Chris Perez who loved Selena with all his heart and have him thrown out of the band, denouncing him as a bad influence yet didn't do anything about Yolanda when others could see the threat. Les cuento mi teoría?? Va así... Desde la primera vez que Yolanda vio a Selena le gustó (se enamoró) y decidió ir al acecho convirtiéndose en la presidente del club de fans , en un principio lo supo manejar y se volvió amiga de Selena y su familia pero la fama que tuvo Selena se le subió a la cabeza también a Yolanda, incluso creo empezó a molestarle que con la fama también hubiera más atención y admiración para Selena, los celos y la posesión de Yolanda empezaron a fluir... Empezó a hacer cosas para alejar a la gente de Selena, empezó incluso a robarle (yo pienso para culpar a alguien más y que ella siempre fuera la indispensable para solucionarlo) pero incluso eso se le salió de control y es cuando la descubren y la corren, aquí el momento en que compró el arma para vengarse pero aún sin perder las esperanzas de que para Selena siguiera siendo indispensable y la perdonara, por eso devolvió el arma; pero cuando se dió cuenta de que Selena ya no le creía la volvió a comprar. El día anterior a qué la matara inventó lo de la violación para ver si de ese modo podía manipular a Selena, pero como no lo logró fue cuando le pidió que fuera buscar los documentos sola, en ese momento ya tenía la firme idea de matarla. El día del asesinato Selena termino de confirmar que Yolanda no era lo que creía y le exigió los papeles; pero aún sabiendo esto, Yolanda en el cuarto del hotel decidió jugarse la última baraja; fue entonces que le confesó que estaba enamorada de ella, discutieron, Selena se quitó el anillo (el de huevo) y quiso devolverselo pero Yolanda la amenazó con la pistola, entonces Selena corrió hacia la puerta y allí le disparó... De lo único que se lamenta Yolanda es de no haber podido escapar ese día, cuando se atrincheró en su camioneta fue solo un juego más, nunca tuvo la intención de matarse.... Yolanda dice que hay cintas y un diario oculto, se ríe y goza de contarlo pero creo que sí tal prueba existe es donde ella escribió y grabó todo lo que hacía (obsesivamente) y sentía por Selena.

Yolanda is a very VERY odd person. She had no history of violence, she's educated, well spoken, she's no dummy but in one moment became a murderer and she completely split from reality. It takes a lot of time and school to become a registered nurse. Not anyone can do it. She gave that up to manage a fan club which is something only a teenager would do. What's even WEIRDER is that she wasn't even a fan of Selena until she went to that one concert.
She said she wanted to "have fun" and "live a little" . Thats true in a way but she wanted to live a little THROUGH Selena. She wanted to be Selena, she was EVERYTHING Yolanda wasn't. Including loved. . It's obvious Yolanda never got attention before Selena. She's probably never even had sexual relations. She was invisible before Selena.

I’ve thought the same too….you made the same point I have for decades….even more pressing is WHY Selena would trust her so much and put her in such a high position of her company….keep in mind while she was the fan club manager for a cpl of years her and Selena, only got close around June of 1994….they were not close…a few months later Selena gives her the keys to her home, key access to her company, access to the banks, 7-8 months later they are best friends? Best friends? Why would a married Selena and why would Chris not see this was crazy…she wasn’t a single nobody starting up a raspa stand……..like you said why would Yolanda throw her career away for less money and why would Selena allow this stranger so much access to her and her families life? Why did they need each other?
I’ve made very similar analysis about this entire situation, and about Yolanda Saldivar. A registered nurse wouldn’t just give up he career to go manage a fan club, with no business experience. I could never understand it, it it was most definitely bizarre to say the least.
There are always signs, we just don't know her history about the things she didn't get caught doing, but if we were to hear from her family and friends I'm sure there'd be evidence of her mental illness long before Selena. Someone in her life has seen her wrath before and knew what she was capable of.
