When I was 25 my only brother passed unexpectedly and I fell into a bad depression. The counselling I did to get out of it, helped me accepting myself for whom I am and leaving my fears behind me that 2 years of bullying in school had created. Since I had to work hard to let go my brother and accept death as a concept of life, today I experience nearly every day as a gift and feel truly thankful for every moment with the people I love. Nalf I really like your videos even if I have not been living in Germany for the last 20 years. You show me the beauty of my home country and the fact that good hearted people have no nationality, we're all one big family. All the best to you and your lovely family and friends with love from Greece

My mother always says "Nothing is so bad, that it won't be good for anything" and until now I have to agree. Even though it doesn't suddenly make the bad things good, but in some aspects it makes it easier to bear them.

My sweet, beautiful cat who I’ve had for 17 years since he was a wee 6-month old kitten made the transition on 10/28. He was the most loving special kitty who charmed and converted even the staunchest “dog people.” We had a very close bond and he always knew who wasn’t feeling well or needed some extra TLC. He loved to sleep on our laps. Making the decision to help him leave his body was so so hard and makes me wonder about the responsibility of ending a life and what is truly humane. If love were all his body needed I am certain he would’ve lived on forever. It’s hard to think about a silver lining when you lose someone / something you love so deeply with all your heart and soul. I’ve been evolving my philosophy towards death and the loss of my belovéd does encourage me to further develop my own beliefs and feelings on death, loss, grief, and the possibility of other realms and how we can connect to them energetically based on quantum physics and consciousness. It reminds me of the huge gathering of family and friends your family had after your grandpa passed on and what a huge celebration of life you all embraced. I wonder how we all can cultivate more of that joie de vivre. To steal a line from one of my favorite poets, I do not know why some plants grow in the sun, and others in the shadow, but I do know they still grow. RIP Tybalt 💞

When I finally was able to study, I ended up doing a summer semester in Germany and met my wonderful German husband. Hi.
My story of something bad turning in something good is going on right now.
I suffered from a major heart attack in September 8th this year. My heart didn't work on its own for 40 min or so.
I am now recovering and I feel so blessed, that life goes on for me with just some minor adjustments. I feel better right now then most of my life, even though I got to learn how to walk again.

I think your drone shots are fantastic. I have never been to Germany and I enjoy your shots so much that it is the major reason I watch your videos. Also I am now seriously addicted to Knoppers which are now available at Aldis in the midwest., Morgens halb zehn!

  • @Obsidian_Smile
    @Obsidian_Smile 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Indeed, the quality of your videos really improved after the "drone incident" even though those shots were/are beautiful. And I also agree with your thesis, sometimes what seems to be bad turns out to be a great opportunity. With me that moment came with the death of my grandfather. I was living in the same house with him (the typical German situation grandparents or parents on the first floor, the following generation on the floor above). It was a really old house which he and his father had built and therefore had a lot of meaning to him and our family. But it was too big for just one or two persons living there by themselves. So, when he died it was this empty huge house with all the memories of our family there and I really couldn't afford the costs of keeping it in shape (you start fixing one thing and it never ends with these old houses). I was in a pretty bad place at the time, quite depressed, not only because of the loss but in general. I hated my job, felt alone and helpless and had this place with all this sadness around me. So, I decided to sell the house. A really really tough decision. But it turned out to be a good one. I moved into a small apartment and started to look for another job. Found my dream job, the thing I always wanted to do, which enabled me to move into a beautiful apartment right next to the woods, with a great view and all the things I wanted. So, even if it was one of the hardest things to do, sell this house which my ancestors built, lived in, laughed in, had good and also bad times in... It still was the right decision for me to do so. I feel so much better now, free and happy to do whatever I please. Everything turned out great. It really is true, one door closes, another one opens. You just have to keep going, it will get better again. 👍🏻

Do you know that there is a saying in the German language for this? "When a door closes, two new ones open!" ( Schliesst sich eine Tür , öffnen sich zwei neue .) or "No master has fallen from the sky yet." ( Es ist noch kein Meister vom Himmel gefallen .) That means that nothing was or is free! Everything has a purpose and leads you to a destination that may be better. Those who have lost more often and learned from the mistakes often did something completely different than expected.

Today I had a very very very disappointing situation. I wanted to work at the german police but at the second test they told me I am not good enough and my performance was the worst they have seen in a while. The whole day since now I am in a very bad mood.
I prayed about that test and told myself that it is god’s hands if I succeed or fail. An apparently he doesn’t want me work as a police officer.
Right now I don’t understand why this can be good for me but I guess that in a few months I will know what doors opened for me and what new opportunities I got and experiences I was able to experience.
Thanks for that perfect timing of the video👌🏼
    Have a blessed day😉

I was told I could not have children and I was devastated. I wanted our children to be made from us and have our genes. We did in vitro fertilization and I had a biological child, but I would never get pregnant again. My daughter was so white with blue veins and no hair (completely opposite of me). We decided to adopt. We were able to be there for her birth. She came out with tan skin, dark hair, and eyelashes. The point is that I felt devastated and did not want to adopt because I did not think that I could feel the same as if I gave birth to a child with our genes. I was so wrong. The emotions were exactly the same and I instantly felt that I was the mom of a precious baby. Now my daughters are 17 and 13. To this day everyone assumes my biological daughter is the adopted one. I do not care what people think because my love for each of my daughters is the same - never ending.

Worst thing that happened: Had a sexual relationship with my married boss for about 2 month. Company decided to move me to our office in Utah (from Frankfurt, Germany). Met my actual wife there, and it also saved my bosses marriage. When we came back to Europe, I now have a fantastic wife, and an exeptional and intimate friend (my former boss), and things turned out great for everyone of us.

The snow covered rooftops are awesome! So sorry you can't use your drone anymore. I do love the live lesson though.
My own story is my boyfriend dumped me for another woman, which gave me the opportunity to make a dream come true and move from Switzerland to California all on my own and live there for a while. No thanks to 9/11 the while was relatively short, but I still had a great time in what I consider my second home in San Diego.

You‘re telling amazing stories about Germany and your and your friends life here. You defenitely don’t need any tools as drones or whatever. Go ahead mate, i really like your videos and would miss them if you would stop that stuff.
    Best regards from a german.

Use an app to find out where you can fly, for example: AirMap or DFS.
Btw. there are countries with much worse laws or even general ban.

Again, it was never about "these are the rules, you have to follow them". It's about saftey. If I see the drone shot above the road in the beginning, that's some serious saftey issue. Esp. these Quadcopters tend to come down easily when only one engine fails which happens quiet often. If it does and scares a driver or even hits a car, it can cause serious accidents.
I've seen enough bad things (besides privacy and air traffic aspects) happen cause a drone failed, lost the signal, the return to home function was taking it on a dangerous route, and so on... Esp. since I have experience as a professional drone operator I totally support these strict rules for casual drones.

First of all: I hate drones. I hate thatg non-commercial use is even legal. These things are just annoying, like dogs are annoying: Mostly because their owners are just inconsiderate idiots.
That said: I loved this video! And yes: the quality of your videos definitely has improved a lot! I think you're spot on with the image of calling the drone a crutch, because tech has never been a replacement for talent. And talent you really got, my friend! :-) Your storytelling has become so much better, as has your choice of topics. So all in all and from every angle: I am greatful that you can't use the drone anymore! :-)
