the hardware on that box is great, but the software sucks... that is unfortunate... no i haven't tried installing another rom on it... there were some comments from other people that supposedly they found another rom for it

unfortunately you can only get netflix in HD and UHD on the Nvidia Shield or the Xiaomi Mi Box, not other Chinese Android tv box runs Neftlix in HD

Where do you get the A/V cable to connect to oldschool TV sets? I had a cable I thought would work from my old video camera, but it doesn't work. If I pull out the plug part way, I can get a b&w picture, and sound.
I bought a cable but all I get is sound no picture...does the 3.5mm plug has to be inserted fully or just part way ?
Well, I would think if it were the right cable that you would plug it in all the way. I must have a similar cable to yours I think. I had to pull it out half way to get anything, and the picture is not in color. Still looking for a good solution. Do not buy a cable that has HDMI on one end and RCA jacks on the other. That will not convert the digital signal to analog. Going from HDMI port, you'd need an digital to analog converter.

I think it is the port... these are OEM boxes and I don't think the quality is very good... the firmware is crap Kodi 16 that was installed didn't work 15.2 works ..I installed 16.1 and it seems to work but crashes the system from time to time..lots of APPs are not compatible for some reason

well depending how much you are willing to spend... you could get the slightly older MXIII-G tv box that doesn better than 90% of the tv boxes or you can get something like the M12N with the S912 processor. I would stay away from the mxq pro plus by all means.
Some around 40ish dollars, I know it isn't much but what would you get on that range?

for that you should probably get the Beelink minimxiii or the mini m8s. Keep in mind that neither of them has good wifi signal.

I can see yours work, perhaps I am missing some tweak? Can you share what did you do to make it work if anything?
Went for great lenghts to get bluetooth ones ... and at times they are laggy (e.g. Browser or flash player in chrome)
you need a wireless keyboard that has a usb dongle. Im using a RII I8 wireless keyboard. Check out the review video of that keyboard on my channel
i recommend ipazzport KP-810-21S, it's the updated version, works great with my box.
I think i simply have broken device. I tried two rf keyboard/mouses and wired ones to no avail. Looks from your video i have the same firmware version.

bluetooth and wifi both use the same frequency / chip so bluetooth will lag.. get a wifi keyboasr / mouse

We are trying to get ours working. It keeps crashing and we never make it to the screen where it's loaded. So far it loads the apps and then freezes with the screen a color... like it's doing something. We have had White, purple, blue and black. It does nothing else. Anyone else have this issue?

I did an factory reset, and then I deleted Kodi. And then I downloaded Kodi from the play store, it then appears as Kodi 16.1, clean without add ons
Now it works very much better. There is just one thing that's disturbing me, from time to time, when I am watching a movie/serie, in the middle or something, it goes to the android home menu, and it doesn't want to connect with the wifi. So I then have to put out the power cable, for 30 second, and then back, and then in works normal. But when it happen it is bad enough disturbing because you are in the middle of a movie or serie.
If this problem keeps repeating itself, I'll try again an factory reset and download this time Kodi from an chrome of Firefox browser instead of the play store.

there is one thing you are right this box must be the worsted tv box i have brought and wish i had seen this review first and i buy so many boxes so u keep doing a good job with your reviews

OK - for anyone looking to update Kodi - disabled download manager, and deleted the old version, was then able to the sideload the .apk file
Currently have it running Pulse CCM, playing 1080p fine :) was weird when i first started Kodi after installing the build, it crashed out about 10 times then worked fine
Theyve screwed up a perfectly good box with really crap firmware

just a heads up Kodi 16.0 crashes a lot and can not be updated thru Play Store.. it says that the device is not compatible .. in system settings Info I noticed very high CPU usage... I see the same thing here in the video...I wonder why ? eeewww FOX news ...Play Store worked for me ..you do have to end up uninstalling Kodi 16.0 before installing Kodi 16.1 ...I had to install it from an APK file....try using the app installer... have you tried to reinstall Play Store...yours looks different than mine ..I was able to install Antutu benchmark and the Anututu 3D... I was told Chrome had an update but the Play Store says "the device is not compatible with this version" .. a lot of stuff will say that..you have to use APK files to install .. system update wouldn't work...after I crashed my box when I installed Ugoos launcher I finally was able to reset it and get android to reinstall .. in the process or restoring apps...i was able to install flash player
the OS on this box is garbage...it would be such a good box with a working os on it. Check the other comments, some people found a new rom that works

I just got one of these yesterday and was able to install any apk file. Are you using the AppInstaller app? Don't use the File Browser. And try putting any apk on a USB and install it from there.

if there is one available on your box, you plug in a mouse to the tv box, take the mouse all the way down on the screen, press the left button and keep it pressed and lift up

Hey. Got my box yday and it`s a crap. The difference is that i can install apps from apks. 4k movies fps drops, youtube 720p same. The box has scracthes near the AV and HDMI slots....box was used...very dissapointed.

i would get a MXIII-G (2gb ram, amlogic s812, android 5.1) I had this box on my channel about 6 months ago... i still use it every day and it's the best box ive tried until now.

i haven't had any of those...and just from the specs they can be very deceiving. It very important how well the software it's optimized. The KIII i believe that it's very similar with the T95. I have the review of the KIII on my channel
Why not download speedtest app from the playstore and test WiFi 2.4/5ghz performance cuz that's the main problem with this android boxes.

I got mine 17 days after shipping from Banggood. When I first opened it, I had problems with it. But after inputting my Google account for the Play Store, ajusting the the setting that lets you download anything from the internet, it works fine. Got it running with HDHOMERUN and Kodi. Don't see why people complain so much, this box works great, just do the tweaking.
thanks for sharing with us your experience with that on-line store. Personally i never used it... Many boxes work fine after you change a couple of setting here and there.
I have to say I talk to fast. I still have problems. The box does not keep the setting, i have to unplug and re-plug to start and it does not want to intall apps. Also full of Chinese apps and when you watch a video from them in english there are a chinese hardcore. So, will probably have to install a real Android and Play store. be carefull people. THer is NO reset switch in the box therefore no possibility to install new firmware, my box comes from banggood as wel so i call then bangBAD
I believe , that when you open up the tv box you may find the internal chips will not be what is advertised. found this when i helped a friend many years with his laptop. he was sold a dual core laptop. found when i went to run some HD movies it was very choppy. went to check the specs and they had it blocked. so opened it up to find it was a sheep in wolfs clothing. single core pile of rubbish. Be very weary when you see it cant run 1080p....

+Redskull at the moment i have purchased 2. this MX Pro plus 2g/16g which still waiting for it to be delivered (purchased before seeing your video). and also purchased a MiniM8S 2g/8g, which ive just been playing with for the last couple of days. seems solid and 1080p is no problem. Just dont have a 4k video or TV to run it! so cant test it at the moment. will let you know if mines the same! and thanks for the reviews, really appreciate your time taken to make these reviews and upload!

just received my one, it does the exact same as your one. went back to complain and they do not have the listing anymore. this box was so under powered it was a joke to run. im thinking when i get my refund i will open it up and show the internals just to see what is lacking. thats if there is anything in it...

I purchased this box the MXQ Pro + with 2 GB of ram. This box in my opinion is junk. While it came with Kodi 16, when I went to the Play Store to update it to 16.1 is said my box was not compatible with the Play Store. I couldn't believe it, an Android box NOT compatible with Android apps - that's insane. Then I tried to update Google Chrome since it came with ver. 36 I think and Chrome is now at version 52. Same message, box is not compatible. Then I tied to download and install Netflix. Same thing, Netflix can not be used either.
I have never purchased such a useless product. The Kodi medial player works but at least 50% of all the links in the repositories are dead and the delete portion of Kodi has been greyed out. My recommendation is DON'T waste your money on an Android TV Box.
If you really want a media center and player go build or buy a Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or 10 computer. I can guarantee you that when you download Kodi it will work and can be updated from the Google Play store. And when you install Chrome it will be the latest version and will keep itself updated - automatically. And Netflix will plays your subscription just fine.

Yes I have done that for a couple of different programs but haven't done Kodi yet. But as you said it certainly SHOULD NOT be necessary to side load programs on an Android box from the Android Play Store. Whoever programed this piece of junk should deserves to be fired.

Hello Redskull... I know how you can install antutu.. Cpu z and speed test... If you want, I can tell how you can make it.. The result of the antutu was 26076... Speedtest with wifi was 17 mb download 1 mega upload (this is good, because it is the max speed of my internet)... With the cpu z, I checked the cpu.. And it is the s905... I was afraid, because I though that MXQ was trying to hide the real hardware... So my conclusion... The problem is the software, no the hardware... So maybe, if someone create a new Rom, we can have a good box... :)... Sorry my bad english

+Redskull hello.... First go to settings... Then go to security & restrictions... Then put unknown sources 'on'.. Put verify apps ' off' and restricted profile 'off'...... Then download the apk from the browser... When the download finish... Go to the workspace of the box... Then go to 'My Apps'.... And open the called 'AppInstaller'.... And voila... Install apks with this app...

This box is a crap. Crashes all the time, Wifi is not working . Definetely needs fiemware upgrade becsuse the stock rom is rubbish..

you are looking at 2 different boxes. Check out the MXQ Pro box on my channel... posted a couple of months ago. Thant one has 1 gb of ram. This is the MXQ Pro +, and this one has 2gb of ram.
