I've just built an ICF home 1760 square, 4" concrete in center and 2 1/2" of styofoam on interior and exterior. Was told I needed to paint styrofoam to protect the walls from sun until I can get my roof on it. I'll spray the foam to protect it. Once a roof gets on can I apply this over the paint or will I have to remove paint? Great video. Doing this will be saving me a lot of money, no expense on siding.
@Ga Fin so you're saying buying this product is more expensive than any siding? BS my exterior walls are already styrofoam w/ 4 " of concrete in the middle) all I need is the stucco mix. How is that more expensive? I'm confused
@Ga Fin my exterior walls already have the styrofoam on them, all I need to purchase is the base coat, mesh, and then top coat. Google buildblocks, it's an ICF (insolated concrete form) house
No disrespect but I would not do what is promoted in this video. Do your research before attempting this folks. Otherwise you’ll end up with a problematic solution which may fail in no time, requiring costly remediation.
I have watched about 10 videos on the render steps onto ICF and this is the first useful one. Great job and explaining 👍
What consistency do you mix this too? It looks like a great system. 👍

What to do when your adding stacked stone to the wall?
I would love to know how this is working after 9 years!
Is this stuff waterproof? Otherwise where is the rain screen?
Thank you
I believe the product is called StuccoMax.
can't find gigamax anywhere... what product is he using?
How do you install the foam to the block wall?
Oscar Ruelas by
Oscar Ruelas ICF is "insulated concrete forms". The insulation is used as forming to pour concrete, not blocks.
This is an ICF (Insulated Concrete Form) wall. Look up Buildblock
@cisa93 its a synthetic mud called primus by dryvit. sticks to anything
Never apply water to base coat. Makes my back hurt watching this guy
Are you a certified gigacrete applicator? There may be different instructions for this product since it isn't actually stucco.
